ELLE’s Women in Hollywood Awards was oozing with girl power! Our favorite actresses, fashion heavyweights, models, and more were in attendance.
Let’s into the night’s looks!
Yara Shahidi was ethereal in a Chanel LWD and on-trend white booties. So chic!
Tessa Thompson couldn’t be missed in a mixed media Calvin Klein 205W39NYC frock.
It doesn’t get better than new ELLE EIC Nina Garcia’s Calvin Klein jumpsuit. Hot!
Jessica Chastain was red hot, uplifting a classic white, button-front shirt with a patent leather red full skirt—both by Calvin Klein. She never disappoints.
Kristen Stewart went bold in a printed Antonio Berardi suit with a black bra top. I live for her style!
Vanessa Hudgens was a blue dream in a powder blue, one-shoulder Bora Aksu ruffle gown. Pretty, no?
What’s a high-fashion event without a Zuhair Murad look? Alessandra Ambrosio slipped on an embellished jumpsuit from the red carpet go-to.
Storm Reid was adorable in a heart-embroidered Reem Acra frock.
Cindy Crawford looked every bit the supermodel in a LBD with a contrast white ruffle.
Screenwriter and director Dee Rees showed us all how to mix Fall-perfect hues.
Vlogger Alissa Ashley flaunted her curves in a long-sleeve House of CB number. She’s stunning!
Actress DeWanda Wise certainly tuned heads with her chic bob and strapless, figure-hugging red midi dress.
Symphani Soto went for high-octane glamour with a plunging Intertwine Collection jumpsuit—fully equipped with a cape and dazzling embellishment.
Cicely Tyson was gilded in a black and gold design. What an icon!
Miami wasn’t the only city boomin’ with our favorite celebs last night! Brooklyn brought together hip-hop artists for a cause at Jay-Z’s Tidal X Benefit Concert at the Barclay Center. The concert featured performances from Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown, Cardi B, and more! It was a night full of fun, and all of it was to benefit the victims in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes in Mexico City. Take a look at the carpet!
Chloe and Halle hit the carpet in black and white Christian Siriano ensembles. The cutouts and ruffles look great on them. So graceful and classy!
Fat Joe performed twice last night! Once with JLo and another time with Remy Ma. He wore a red tracksuit on the carpet. Looking good!
It’s been a while since we’ve seen DJ Khaled on the carpet alone without baby Asahd! He wore all black with Jordan’s before he hit the stage with many fan favorites as usual.
Iggy Azalea posed on the carpet sporting a chic athleisure look. The royal blue hues really made her look pop!
Remy Ma sure made a statement with her Jennifer Le fur vest and furry Fendi boots. Remy was also on the long list of performers last night!
Our girl Cardi B hit the carpet in a sheer dress by Victoria Hayes. Her earrings, also by Victoria Hayes complemented the ensemble so well!
Willow Smith posed on the carpet before her performance with a long wool coat and Nike sneakers. The older she gets the more she embraces her own personal style, you go Willow!

We have an exclusive interview and photo shoot for our Beauty Crush Wednesday! Behold, soulful songstress Melanie Fiona.
The Canadian born Guyanese beauty took a break from hit making to raise her son, Cameron, but is now back with unparalleled heat and fire! She has an upcoming album title, “The Next Train” and a new look to match.
She posed for Ben Duggan’s lens in looks by Michael Costello, Lanvin, Valery Kovalska, and more, styled by Michael Mann and Tyler Jacobs of Aki x Mann. Maurice Cornell @killss._ coiffed her raven tresses into couture hairstyles while Make up Artist David Rodriguez @drodbeauty applied wispy lashes and endless shimmer.
Read our interview below: Tell us about your latest project?
I just released “Remember U”, which is the latest single off my upcoming album “Next Train”. It’s classically Melanie Fiona… big vocals, big ballad… about what else?…Love. I wanted this year’s release to be something that my core R&B fanbase would appreciate. I released “Bite The Bullet” back in 2015 which will also be on the album. The album is rooted in soul, but has many different genre elements… Jack Splash (CeeLo), Dre Harris (Jill Scott) and Jerry Wonda (Fugees) all produced on the album, so you know musically it’s on point. All the songs are personal moments of reflection, that inspired progression. Forward movement, just like a train.
Why did you decide to take a musical hiatus?
Well, life sort of decided that for me lol. One year into recording this album, I got pregnant with my son, Cameron. For me, it never really felt like a complete hiatus because I was still doing shows and working in the studio. When he was born, I definitely took some time to slow down to be with him and to focus on learning how to be a mother. That time was very necessary. It gave me the time I feel every woman needs and deserves to adjust into her new role. It also gave me the opportunity to re-evaluate where I was at musically and challenge myself to be a better artist. I feel like I’ve grown so much in the last 3 years.
What can we expect from you musically and fashion wise? Culture. I’m a Canadian Caribbean Cancer Moonchild. I’m very inspired right now to be outspoken and unapologetic for who I am, how I feel and where I come from. Being a woman of colour is a powerful role today, more than ever before, and I intend on celebrating and expressing that as much as possible. I’m always striving to inspire and encourage women to be their better selves. Bold. Strong. Colourful.
What do you want the world to know?
Give Love, to yourself and others. The revolution is coming… xo

Keyshia Kaoir and Gucci Mane got married in a blitz of diamonds and bling, with an all white ceremony at the Four Seasons in Miami. For the occasion, Keyshia Kaoir wore a $40,000 custom Charbel Zoe gown, while Gucci smiled bright in Hideoki Bespoke.
Sparkling gems decorated her hair, and filled her bouquet. Gorgeous! Keyshia’s glam dress consisted of a 25 foot ostrich feather train, the same length that Princess Diana had. Emulating the Princess’ big wedding style, yet Mrs. Davis went for elegant as oppose to traditional. The jaw-dropping dress was all Swarovski crystals and had real ostrich feathers.
Of course Keyshia had to do an outfit change! Look 2 was a $10,000 fringed, light catching gown by Yousef Al Jasmi.
The wedding was lovely! They are definitely giving me couple goals.
It’s official! One of the hottest couples in hip-hop, Gucci Mane and Keyshia Ka’oir have finally tied the knot. If you know anything about Mr.and Mrs. Davis, then you know everything they do is guaranteed to be the best and over the top. Their televised wedding dubbed “The Mane Event” aired on BET at 10pm on 10.17. It was a sea of white as some of our favorite celebrity attendees pulled out their best wedding looks as per dress code. Let’s get into the looks!
Karrueche Tran co-hosted the event alongside Kendall Kyndall. Tran’s dress from Likely NYC was the perfect blend of sexy and classy for this major event. Her hair complemented the look tremendously!
Hello, legs! Monica attended her best friend Keyshia’s wedding in a see through long sleeve dress by Shady Zeineldine. This look is different from what we’re used to seeing Monica in, but she surely showed out and did it well!
Well, you know the saying! “A couple that slays together, stays together.” Big Sean and Jhene Aiko posed in front of a Rolls Royce before they were off to #TheManeEvent. Aiko wore a Chanel dress with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and Big Sean wore a Tom Ford suit. I must say, these two look amazing in white!
2 Chainz attended the long awaited wedding with his beautiful wife. She wore a curve-hugging dress with cape detailing and he wore a tailored suit. What a lovely couple!
Kim Zolciak-Biermann wore a Ryan and Walter dress that accentuated her curves. I love the detailing in the bust area, it really changes the look of the dress!
Trina looked amazing in her bridesmaid dress by Christopher Paunil! These were great dresses for the bridal party, Keyshia picks them well!
Justin and Christian Combs posed with the groom, Gucci Mane. The Combs brothers always clean up nice! They look very charming in their white ensembles.
#TheWopsters sure have an amazing support system. Friends including Diddy, Rick Ross and more joined them in celebrating their special day. Looking sharp!
What was your favorite all white ensemble? Would you ever have an all white wedding?
Life of a fashion insider and muse must be all types of grand! Gaining access to fabulous designer looks straight off the runway are what fashion fantasies are made of! To wit, Naomi Campbell went for casual chic on Instagram clad in Saint Laurent‘s Spring 2018 Over The Knee Feathers Boots, previously debuted by Rihanna:
While Rihanna paired her white stunners with an understated Off -White Black Open Back Mini Dress, Naomi opted to team her standout black beauties with jeans and a white basketball oxford shirt from Riccardo Tisci’s latest collection for Nike.
Come on boots! I love that both ladies put their personal styling spin on it.
It is with great sadness we report that designer Mychael Knight has passed away at age 39. According to Obvious Mag, he died at 7:25am EST outside of Atlanta, Georgia on October 17, 2017.
A champion of cut and color, the Atlanta native made his mark in the fashion industry when he placed 4th in Season 3 of Project Runway. After completing the show, he went on to pour fire into his eponymous label, Mychael Knight, with a custom clientele.
I first met Michael at an event in Atlanta’s Lenox Mall, and we promised to stay in touch. We reconnected during Palm Spring’s Fashion Week, where I was mesmerized by his wind catching gowns and luxurious fabrics.
I was so transfixed that I made sure I wore Mychael Knight to the 2016 BET Awards, and a gala afterwards.
I actually uncovered one of his dresses this past weekend, and promised myself I would reach out to him anew.
How unfortunate that such a unique talent has gone way too soon.
May he rest in peace.
