We’re in the throws of the Fall wedding season and we know how much of a challenge it can be to find the perfect look for an upcoming wedding. So today we’re answering a special What To Wear request, featuring Fall-worthy wedding guest outfit ideas.
Ariell writes, “Hi ladies, I’m attending a wedding in November and I can’t seem to find anything to wear. Can you guys do a What To Wear wedding edition”?
For a sophisticated Fall wedding guest look, opt for jewel tones in a long-sleeve ruched dress paired with silver strappy sandals.
Add a touch of glam with a black suede crystal-embellished and tassel detail shoulder bag, a faux fur stole, and sparkling crystal dangle earrings.
Work a burgundy one-shoulder dress with black suede ankle-strap sandals for a simple yet elegant look.
Complete the look with a silver woven box clutch, diamond drop earrings, a deep plum lip and voluminous lashes.
To give your look a romantic and feminine feel, opt for nude tones in a lace midi dress and blush nude lace-up suede pumps.
Add the finishing touch with a nude leather chain shoulder bag, rose gold and pave jewelry, and a soft nude makeup palette.
Dress up a bandage cocktail dress with a pair of black suede pumps and a plush fur coat.
Add sophisticated details with a monogram leather clutch, rose gold jewelry, and a sultry plum and mauve makeup palette.
Lastly, keep it classy with a sexy twist in a black one-shoulder midi dress paired with silver multi-strap sandals.
Add a sleek box clutch, crystal embellished chain earrings, and a shimmering champagne lid and matching mani for the final touch.
And that’s it! Thoughts on today’s wedding guest inspired outfit ideas?
While Christina stuck to nude tones with brown suede shoes and a light toned clutch, Teyana added pop with a red cropped cut.
The form fitting dress has adjustable spaghetti straps and also comes in in Teal, Burgundy, Gold, Chocolate and Blue.
They both look stunning! And they price is right. I’m might just have to get it in every color…
What do you think? Who wore it better?
We’ve all fallen head over heels for this week’s beauty crush since the first episode of Scandal, fawning over Olivia Pope’s sickening fall coats to brave the D.C. weather, perfectly tailored power suits and Prada bags. Just as stylish (though not as scandalous) as her character, Kerry Washington delivers on the red carpet. The Bronx native stuns in gorgeous gowns, elevated by beautiful hairstyles and makeup that’s never heavily contoured. And with skin as velvety as hers, she barely needs any coverage, as evidenced by her most recent shoot with Allure Magazine. As far as glam goes, Washington always aims for a flawless and effortless finish. Her foundation is usually as natural looking as can be, punctuated with pops of color on the eyelids and touches of pink on the cheeks.
When it comes to Washington’s pout, she typically stays within the pink and red family whenever she reaches for a shade. With lips as full as hers, classic hues work best to emphasize her timeless essence.
Though we all live and breathe for Olivia Pope’s iconic side-swooped bob, Washington likes to mix it up every once in a while. Bangs, ponytails, flirty curls and even a fishtail braid, she loves elevating her red carpet looks with gorgeous hairdos.
Her stunning beauty aside, Washington strives to be more than just a gorgeous face. An accomplished actress, feminist and activist, she continuously exceeds expectations, not only in the realm of fashion and beauty. Using her celebrity to bring awareness to social issues proves how dynamic a woman she is, and for that, we tip our hats to her. For more of Kerry Washington, spy our favorite glam pics of her in the gallery above!

When your editor contacts you on a Monday and asks if you could be in Barbados by the end of the week to represent the brand at their Fashion Festival – you cancel all of your commitments, figure out what your wardrobe will be, and wait to receive your travel arrangements! This is exactly what happened to me last week, and I’m still basking in the afterglow of the Caribbean sun! I’m excited to write that I got the chance to spontaneously experience Barbados culture, and it was everything! I can’t give you an extensive list on what eateries to visit or where to shop because I was there for only a few days on business. However, I can give you the scoop on a fun activity to try, an interesting Barbadian artist you should know, and some Caribbean designers to add to your fashion list. Check out a quick summary of my Barbados adventure below!
During the trip, I had the chance to experience snorkeling in the Atlantic Ocean. At first I was hesitant because I didn’t bring the necessary products to wash my hair. But after some convincing from my travel mates, I gave in. If you are ever in the Caribbean, you must experience this adventure. There’s nothing like observing sea life in its habitat – especially in clear blue water.
While on this Barbados venture, my travel mates and I had the wonderful opportunity of connecting with an indigenous artist by the name of Sheena Rose. This talented, vivacious young lady births art that reflects her view of the world. Her work reaches beyond the Barbadian culture, and if you ever have the opportunity to view her paintings, I guarantee she has created a piece that will speak to you. Just ask tennis star Venus Williams who owns one of Rose’s paintings from her “Town” series. Check out Sheena and some of her work below.
The fashion in Barbados is a mixture of Caribbean culture and urban swag. The looks were infused with vibrant colors, modern fabrics, and classic patterns. Check out some of my favorite fashion moments below.
Barbados was everything I thought it would be and more. The people were interesting, the seafood was fresh, the colors of the land were vivid, and the culture was intriguing. I would love to thank my EIC, Claire Sulmers, for presenting me with this amazing opportunity, IFF Barbados and also my super cool travel mates, Sharifa Murdock of Liberty Fairs, Ouigi Theodore of The Brooklyn Circus, Ron Oppong of Liberty Fairs, and Danielle Cooper of She’s A Gent. You were all a joy to be around, and your good energy was undeniable! I look forward to many more Barbados Fashion Festivals with you guys!

Today’s Bomber is up for the challenge! Behold Christopher from Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
He writes, “As an artist, architect, my style is very eccentric and my closet is filled with black but I tend to dress the way I’m feeling that day.”
“Love mixing prints and staying monochromatic from time to time. I’ll be wearing plaid one day and a Faux Fur with some basketball sneakers another.”
“Much of my inspiration comes from MJ, Prince & David Bowie, they were masterful in their effortless, unapologetic and bold.”

Today’s Bombshell style is funky and fresh. Behold Alaia from New York City.
She writes, “My style is very versatile. I don’t have one set look that people can attach me to, which makes my wardrobe fun and spontaneous. At times it can be edgy and trend-driven other times it can be minimal and comfortable. It all depends on what mood I’m in and what I want to portray to the world that day.”
“I’m constantly getting inspired by street style fashion which influences my daily looks in some way or another. It could be a certain way a person tied their belt, to a colorway that I wouldn’t have thought to put together.” View more looks below:
