Saturdays are for the stars and this Saturday was surely star-filled. On Saturday, we witnessed the commencement of the 2019 50th Annual NAACP Image Awards which honors the advancement and achievements of people of color in areas such as music, cinema, and literature. Winners included Black-ish, Black Panther, and Beyoncé as entertainer of the year. Congresswoman Maxine Waters was also honored with the NAACP Chairman’s award where she delivered a standing ovation speech about rising to where she is now.

Not to mention, award shows always bring out the best looks on the red carpet! The stars were out and dripping in designer from head to toe, heating things up on the red carpet in Hollywood. With so many bombs looks, we rounded up the night’s 10 best celebrity looks!

Beyoncé wore Balmain SS19 Couture alongside her husband Jay-Z at the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, styled by Zerina Akers.

Sanaa Lathan beamed on the red carpet in a Haney dress, vintage Donna Karan belt, and Jimmy Choo clutch topped with jewelry by Lana Jewelry and Larry Platt, styled by Monica Rose.

One of many stunning outfit changes from Marsai Martin! She wore Georges Hobeika on the red carpet of the NAACP Image Awards.

Lupita Nyong’o gave us classic vintage vibes with her Giambattista Valli FW16 look on the red carpet, styled by Micaela Erlanger.

Representing for the Fashion Bombers, Michael B. Jordan wore Burberry FW19 RTW on the red carpet, styled by Jason Rembert.

Adrienne Bailon grazed her staircase with a stunning look from Walter Collection for the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, styled by Grace Spann.

Chloe and Halle brightened up the red carpet with Sergio Hudson FW19 RTW ensembles, styled  by Zerina Akers.

Letitia Wright kept it chic and wore Georges Chakra FW18 to the award ceremony.

Melanie Liburd showed off her assets in an Oscar de la Renta dress, styled by Dani and Emma.

Trevor Jackson kept it fresh and dapper in a Gray Scale velour tux, David Yurman lapel brooch and time piece, and Magnanni shoes on the red carpet of the 2019 NAACP Image Awards, styled by Apuje Kalu.

Pharrell Williams has been keeping busy. The entertainer released his collection and partnership with iconic fashion house Chanel over the weekend. The Urban Capsule Collection was revealed to a private audience in Seoul, South Korea where Pharell performed, and special guests Jennie Kim, Soo Joo Park, and Irene Kim performed as well. 

Chanel quotes “An Urban Capsule Collection highlighting Pharrell Williams’ longterm relationship with the house…”. The pieces from the collection include oversized monogrammed hoodies, embellished tees, and fun, brightly colored loafers and sneakers.

The Urban Capsule Collection is available in Chanel’s Seoul, South Korea boutique and will be available in select boutiques worldwide beginning April 4th and on Chanel’s website. Are you going to treat yourself and splurge to some of the items of the collection?

The 50th NAACP Image Awards was televised last night and the esteemed show always exceeds expectations in class, images of excellence and definitely style. If you missed the show, catch it again on https://tvone.tv/ to find your local listings. What a wonderful way to end the weekend!

Among the great honorees, which included powerhouse celebrities like Chadwick Bowsman, and political leader and icon, Maxine Waters,  Jay-Z and Beyoncé were also honored. Jay-Z accepted his “President’s Award” with an amazing speech in a sharp black suit dedicated to the wonderful women in his life, including his mother and grandmother, whom he quoted saying she could do “a lot with $20 a week.” Jay-Z’s work to help those in need of legal assistance and his valiant efforts to put the Trayvon Martin story to life for the truth to be told, are just a few examples of the great  spirit of this hiphop King.

Beyonce also accepted her well deserved award for “Entertainer of the Year,” in a sharp white Balmain Suit, accessorized to perfection with a matching hat and silver sandals. Beyonce’s philiathorpy includes countless scholarships provided for our youth to attend HBCU’s, her volunteer and  support efforts for hurricane victims and of course her ever present “girl power” that inspires us all. Beyonce finished the look with a diamond necklace and earrings. She and her Husband Jay-Z were honored last night for their contributions and allyship to the LGBTQ Community. Congratulations to this stylish, conscious couple.

Jordyn Woods is currently in London promoting her Lash partnership with Eylure and she has been giving us some serious #Styleinspo. Jordyn has been spotted out and about attending events, and dinners, and posting the occasional selfie with looks that make us stop scrolling and double tap. On one of her first days there, she served a look in a Sami Miro Vintage distressed black leather trench with hood and faux fur trim.

 She gave us another look from the brand in a yellow fitted cardigan. Jordyn also slayed sideways in a dress from online store Myaemade. Jordyn isn’t shying away from attention with her new blonde hair either. She is definitely keeping up with her style amid all the drama. How are you feeling Jordyn’s London Looks?

Cardi B posed for a stylish pic in Chanel’s trending white button-up blouse while Kris Jenner uploaded a candid video of herself modeling the top. Both ladies paired their ensembles with Chanel chain belts, however, Cardi opted for a Black Leather Beret, Pleated Black Skirt with White Boots while Kris went with Black Skinny Jeans and Black Boots for a monochromatic look.
