Hood Celebrityy’s hit single Walking Trophy was on constant repeat over the summer, racking up over 18 million streams worldwide, and setting the stage for her takeover in 2019.
The Jamaican born, Bronx bred Bombshell showed off her sartorial side for a recent exclusive editorial for Fashion Bomb Daily, photographed by Kat Morgan, and styled by Raytell Bridges, with art direction and hair by Dante Blandshaw, and makeup by Deb Padilla. About the shoot, Hood Celebrityy said, “I feel like each look reflects a portion of my personality. This is actually the first time I was able to show the world all of me in different ways.”
Hood Celebrityy, born Tina Pinnock, is no stranger to style. Before she was making the club bump with her dancehall sound, she worked in retail as a sales associate. She explains, “The store was called “Capo Fashion” and is located in the Boogie Down Bronx. Capo was known for Robin Jeans, True Religion, BB Simons, Taverniti. I enjoyed working with the clientele as I truly love clothes. I learned to appreciate people from all walks of life. I also learned that everyone has something very unique about them and that fashion [is a way for us to express ourselves].”
Fellow Bronx Bombshell Cardi B helped Hood Celebrityy go viral by posting her song “Wine Pon It,” on the ‘Gram. “I appreciate Cardi’s effort and how much she believed in my music. I thank her for that.” Celebrityy adds, “[But] As far as any other collabs only the future could answer that.”
Her Jamaican roots permeate everything she does, particularly her look. She says, “I love Jamaica and my cultural heritage. The bold Jamaican fashion aesthetic shows up in my style as I love bright and vibrant colors. I love to be in coordination with clothes and footwear.”
In conclusion, we had to ask: What is a Walking Trophy? She says, “Walking Trophy” is [all about] women’s empowerment. The point is to make every woman feel and know she is beautiful.”
She adds, ” I came up with the concept as I was home working out. I looked in the mirror and said to myself, ‘I am a walking trophy.’ I was just admiring myself, but I was like it’s others out there that are walking trophies too.”

Vision Boarding is all about flipping through magazines and finding images and phrases that align with your goals. A lot of times you might not be sure what you want! Taking the time to write down or visualize what you want out of life makes you more specific about your needs and also gets your mind marinating on how you are going to accomplish them.
Despite the cold temperatures, Bombshells came out in style! Take a look:

Repost from TheBombLife.com:
I remember the day as it it were yesterday.
It was one of my last afternoons in Paris, after having lived there for almost two years, and I was cleaning up and getting rid of old papers. In my sweep, I stumbled across a notebook I kept, full of meetings, goals, and wishes. I flipped to a page, and skimmed a list I had made a year prior of must have items: Christian Louboutin pumps, a Balenciaga bag…and just as I looked up, I realized that my first pair of coveted Louboutins were sitting on the floor in front of me. It was the first time I had seen my seemingly unattainable thought become a thing: a year prior I had wished for something, and after planning and saving up, they were mine. After that instance, I became even more determined to reach for and ask for what I wanted out of life. As Matthew 7:7 says, ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find.
I’ve gone from wishing for one pair of Louboutin shoes to hosting parties at the Christian Louboutin Store in Dallas, and owning so many pairs that I’ve given some away!
Through visualization, goal setting (i.e. writing things down), and prayer, I’ve been able to achieve more than I ever imagined. Once upon a time, I wrote down that I would want to live full time from blogging, and though there have been some bumps in the road, here I stand.
Being crystal clear with your intentions is necessary if you want to achieve the life of your dreams (whatever that dream may be). As the popular phrase goes, if you don’t set a goal, you can’t score! And as we lean in to 2019, it’s high time to set our goals and intentions for the year.
Many of us has goals in mind, but few of us take that extra step and write them down, or create a vision of themselves that can serve as a daily reminder to go for what you want out of life!
So join me on Monday, January 21st from 1-4pm for our Vision Board Brunch. Meet new people, eat, drink, be merry, and create a new friend group of accountable go getters who will make sure you strive for the sky for 2019 and beyond! RSVP at VisionBrunchNY.eventbrite.com.
Hope to see you there!
