Following her second US Open victory, Japanese-Haitian tennis player Naomi Osaka shared a photo on Instagram in a traditional dress and head wrap along with her US Open cup with the caption “You already know I had to bring out the head wrap for this one”. She decided to commemorate her victories moment by paying homage to ancestral roots.

The model-preneur has worked with several brands including Dermalogoica UK, adidas, Brushbox, Cognac de la Croix Maron, and Lynx to name a few.
Initially, fashion and modeling was just a fun past-time for VM The Model. He then began to take his passion for fashion seriously after landing a gig with designer Kwame Koranteng. Soon after, he launched his modeling career by signing with the BAME model agency in London. Through the agency, he became acquainted with the world of advertising, marketing and even acting. He can be see in the popular worldwide movie, Fast and Furious 6.
While VM The Model likes to work in fashion, he also has a style that is all his own! While modeling and working, the London based influencer is typically confined to the garment choices of the designers and stylists which typically mimic his personal style as well. As for his personal style, he usually opts for a “dapper-casual” feel where he can get quirky or sophisticated depending on his mood. He even expressed in a recent interview with Dapper Villains, “When I am dressed casually, I do not get noticed on the streets…by wearing a suit my profile goes up.”

2 Chainz pulled up to his intimate birthday celebration in a black army truck, gifted to him by Kanye West which is said to cost about 1 and a half million dollars! Him and his wife needed a ladder to get down, that’s how you make an unforgettable entrance.
The guest list included the rapper’s family, close friends, and a few familiar faces, including Fashion Bomb Daily’s CEO Claire Sulmers. She looked amazing as she posed next to the rapper wearing black designer London Couture’s classic cocktail biker romper from The Ivy Showroom. On Saturday, tennis player Naomi Osaka was all that was trending on social media as she won the US Open Women’s Singles final against Victoria Azarenka! This is now Osaka’s second US Open title and her third overall title, having won the 2018 US Open and 2019 Australian Open. Not to mention, she went down in history on Saturday as the youngest woman to win her third major title since Maria Sharapova in 2008!
Throughout her seven matches, Naomi Osaka used her sports style and platform as a star player to shine a light on the injustices plaguing the Black community and honor her influences like her familial roots and the late Kobe Bryant:
She was spotted at each of her matches wearing face masks bearing the names of police brutality victims including Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Philando Castile, Ahmaud Arbery, and Elijan McClain.
Naomi Osaka also honored Kobe Bryant by wearing a Lakers jersey with his number after each match, expressing by how the late basketball player “gave her strength”. Bryant served as an influential figure to many people including Osaka who was mentored by the basketball legend.
Lastly, Naomi Osaka celebrated her win in the finals by honoring and showing appreciation for her Japenese-Haitian heritage. In a tweet, she thanked her ancestors, “I would like to thank my ancestors because everytime I remember their blood runs through my veins I am reminded that I cannot lose.” She commemorated the moment in a Grass Fields $53 African Print Carlotta Top (worn as a dress) and $33 African Print Ummona Headwrap (sold out).
