See All 6 Of Jodie Turner-Smith’s Stunning Looks from the 2022 British Fashion Awards

The British Fashion Awards (also known as The Fashion Awards) is an annual ceremony showcasing and awarding British and international brands and individuals who have been excelling with outstanding contributions to the fashion industry (think the CFDA awards but the UK).

This year, actress Jodie Turner-Smith hosted the ceremony, and ––like she usually does–– she brought the looks. While we’ve witnessed her shut down the red carpet many times before, she put on for her style prowess in not just one but six ‘fits. From a gorgeous Gucci gown for the red carpet to the dazzling looks that made it to the main stage: take a look at how Jodie Turner-Smith was the hostess with the mostest style.

Turner-Smith arrived at the awards in an attention-grabbing Gucci gown. Photographers and attendees were treated to a dreamy highly-saturated masterpiece that flowed beautifully with her every move. A gleaming green sequin trim complemented her emerald jewelry.

On the ceremony stage, things only got even more stylish. Turner-Smith captivated guests as she rotated between several jaw-dropping looks. Her first appearance on stage included a Robert Wun dress that did not skimp on drama or detail.

The bright white dress snatched her model-esque figure with a tight bodice while oversized ruffles beautifully framed her look.

Following the drama came a little sparkle. Turner-Smith strutted onto the stage in a stunning silver look fit for a long night of dancing and debauchery at Studio 54. Her diamond white fur coat is a look on its own, but the sparkly 16Arlington gown she wore underneath was the real showstopper.

After three striking gowns, it was time for a pant look. Yet, even the trouser-inclusive ‘fit was as stunning as the dresses before it.

Turner-Smith was ready to serve some haute couture-level glamor and changed into a cobalt blue Richard Quinn catsuit. She completed the look with a cerulean blue robe reminiscent of the design André Leon Tally wore to the 2011 Met Gala. However, the sapphire jewels and black fascinator really took this look all the way.

Jodie Turner-Smith ended her night of glamor at the after-party, where her final look incorporated her beau, Joshua Jackson. The dazzling pair went with a black and white color story with Jackson in a contemporary black suit and unbuttoned white shirt while Turner-Smith wore a lacy black cut-out dress with her previously worn white fur coat.

2022 saw a lot of creative fashion collabs, and we had a hard time narrowing down the list. From Balmain’s Barbie world to the coveted Dap Gap, this year’s innovative partnerships have been nothing short of fashion bomb.

Dive into this year’s list of nominees before you decide which collection takes home the FABY.

Jean Paul Gaultier x Y/Project

Hearts broke after the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier announced his retirement in 2020. Who would serve us the best in Breton stripes and have thee Naomi Campbell dressed as a blooming bouquet? However, even in retirement, Gaultier is still bringing those moments. For Fall 2022, Y/Project hooked up with the house of Jean Paul Gaultier for a collection inspired by Gaultier’s archival trompe-l’oeil designs of naked bodies. These designs decorated signature Y/Project styles, from one celebrity-loved dress to tailoring and denim.

Kim Kardashian x Dolce & Gabbana

After a SKIMS collab with Fendi and a fashion tour in full Balenciaga looks, Dolce & Gabbana’s Ciao Kim collection came as a bit of a surprise. Nonetheless, her love for the brand dates back to her early fashion icon days, and her whole family did don D&G looks for Kourtney’s wedding to Travis Barker. This fashion stunt inspired Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana to open their archives and allow Kim to not only curate the collection but star in the video used as a backdrop for the show.

Dapper Dan x GAP

From opening his Harlem atelier to being brought onto the Gucci team, Harlem hero Dapper Dap is receiving his flowers and we love to see it. Retail giant GAP partnered with Dapper Dan to release a line of hoodies that sold out within minutes. A collab so successful we got a part II just in time for the holidays.

Timberland x Jimmy Choo

After a successful collab in 2020, Timberland and Jimmy Choo partnered again for an exclusive line showing both of their creative ethos living in style harmony. The first collection spoke to bringing glamour to the outdoors, but Timberland x Jimmy Choo part II speaks to the gritty glamour of NYC.

Balmain x Barbie

Who doesn’t want to be Barbie? That doll has everything! Even the latest Balmain. Earlier this year, the house of Balmain released a limited-edition collection of Barbie-themed pieces. The capsule, told in the color story of several shades of Barbie pink, features badges, tees, hoodies, dresses, and trousers inspired by Barbie and her world.

Burberry x Supreme

When it comes to collaborations, Supreme is the reigning king. From furniture to fashion, there is barely an avenue the NYC giant hasn’t touched. So there was no surprise when Burberry x Supreme came to be. The collection featured a lineup of denim, Supreme’s signature box logo on t-shirts, and shearling-collared puffer jackets covered in Burberry plaid alongside other street-inspired styles.

Fendi x Versace

What happened when Donatella Versace and Kim Jones switched roles? Fendace happened. Regarded as one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year, Fendi x Versace celebrated two iconic houses and their cultural impact. Reimagined It bags, accessories, jerseys, dresses, and tailoring feature the Fendi monogram stylish united with Versace’s iconic Medusa motif and chain mail.

Givenchy x BSTROY

In the hands of Creative Director Matthew M. Williams, Givenchy is leaning on the contemporary street look. The capsule collaboration with BSTROY aligned with Williams’ vision for the brand and the future of fashion. Innovative materials, silhouettes, and details produced streetwear sensory graphic designs and contemporary casual pieces.

Jimmy Choo x Mugler

A collab that completely dominated social media, Jimmy Choo x Mugler was an inventive fusion of fashion and footwear. Mugler’s iconic spiral and illusion bodysuits inspired the popular sock boot styles, while designs like the a clear plexi sandal with a dazzling crystal ball spoke to the high jewelry fans of Jimmy Choo.

What does a man need in a rain jacket? It is evident that the primary purpose of a rain jacket for men is to keep them dry on a rainy day. You also need something that is stylish and looks good on you because it is the first thing people will see when they look at you.

And when it gets warmer, you want your raincoat to be breathable. If you are looking for a rain jacket that will keep you dry while maintaining your relaxed style, here are some of the top 3 best under $100 rain jackets men’s to check out.

  1. Uniqlo Blocktech Parka for Men

For about $80, the Uniqlo rain jacket for men is affordable, stylish, and performs well. The brand has focused more on the coat’s performance via its technical fabric and clean construction.

The fabric is waterproof and durable, with just enough stretch to make it comfy. Besides the essential function of a raincoat – keeping you dry – the rain jacket for men has very minimal branding on it and has a minimal appearance with a lot of features in it.

The features include the hood, moisture-wicking interior, and a drawcord waist, which all improve the essential function of a rain jacket.

  1. Columbia Men’s Watertight Rain Jacket

The coat is one of the most affordable rain jackets on this list, going for about $70 in many stores. Just like the Uniqlo rain jacket, it has a minimalistic characteristic and appeals to any stylish man.

You can fold the jacket and stuff it in your bag if the weather changes.

  1. REI Co-op Groundbreaker Rain Jacket

Looking at this particular rain jacket, you might reasonably assume it is specifically designed for outdoor activities. It is one of those high-tech coats that are fashionable and affordable, considering all its features that match Patagonia’s rain jacket for men.

The Groundbreaker is a high-quality jacket designed to keep you warm and dry as well as give you a cool, stylish look at the same time. In as much as the raincoat appears like a more outdoor jacket, it is trendy among the city folks.

This is because it is not quite high-tech looking, is waterproof, breathable, and can still be used for outdoor activities like a hike. The coat is more of a casual use coat rather than technical.

The REI Co-op Groundbreaker Rain Jacket goes for about $50 in stores.

Conclusion

The weather might be demanding that you get one of those rain jackets to keep you warm and dry and maintain your style among your peers. Remember, functionality is crucial but doesn’t forget about style and fashion while considering any of those rain jackets for men.

5 Reasons Why You Should Consider Buying Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds

As reported by CNN, people looking to buy engagement rings are now mostly turning towards man-made or lab-grown diamonds.  The process of creating lab-grown diamonds is similar to the process of creating a synthetic diamond.

It involves high temperatures and pressure, but instead of combining carbon with other elements to create a synthetic diamond, lab-grown diamonds are created by placing actual carbon atoms under extreme heat and pressure.

The result is something that has all the properties of a mined diamond. It’s clear, hard, and sparkles as a real diamond would.

Everyone these days wears lab-grown diamonds. Even Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence has embraced these man-made gemstones, as reported by professionaljeweller.com. The real question, however, is why you should consider buying lab-grown diamonds from Rare Carat.

Let us explain.

#1 Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds are Cheaper

Natural diamonds are rare, and they have to be mined from the earth. This means that they cost a lot to produce, and they cost even more to purchase. Lab-grown diamonds don’t have the same costs associated with them, so they can be sold at a lower price than natural diamonds.

A lab-grown diamond will cost you between $30 and $60, while a mined diamond can cost between $100 and $200.

A quick look through Rare Carat’s catalog will give you a good idea regarding the pricing.

You can see that Rare Carat has priced lab-grown diamonds two to five times lower than natural ones. That’s because Rare Carat is transparent about its diamond products and will never sell you lab-grown ones as real diamonds. You’ll notice that the same carat of a lab-grown diamond is at least two-thirds of the price of a natural one.

#2 Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds are Free from Impurities

Rare Carat’s lLab-Grown Diamonds are free from impurities and imperfections that occur naturally. This means that they come with the same quality, beauty, and value as natural diamonds.

A lab diamond is grown in a lab under controlled conditions, so it’s free from impurities and imperfections that occur naturally. This means that they come with the same quality, beauty, and value as natural diamonds.

This makes lab-grown diamonds an excellent choice for those who want to wear an engagement ring while avoiding conflict diamonds or other ethical issues with their jewelry.

#3 Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds are Brighter and Have More Clarity

Rare Carat’s lab-grown diamonds are made in a laboratory by heating carbon under high pressure and temperature until it becomes a diamond. These diamonds are often brighter and have more clarity than natural diamonds, so they look more like what we see in jewelry stores. They’re also less expensive than mined diamonds because there’s no need for exploration and mining equipment, as well as the costs associated with bringing them out of the ground.

Because lab-grown diamonds are man-made, they can be created to meet specific specifications such as size, shape, color, and clarity. You’ll also find that lab-grown diamonds are more environmentally friendly since they don’t require large amounts of energy or chemicals during production.

#4 Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds are Environment Friendly

As the world’s supply of diamonds becomes increasingly scarce, we need to find a new way to mine for them. A lot of people want to buy diamonds but also don’t want the environmental impact that comes with mining for them. That’s where lab-grown diamonds come in.

Lab-grown diamonds are grown in a lab and do not require mining. This means they are more environmentally friendly than mined diamonds.

This is a much more eco-friendly alternative to mining diamonds since it doesn’t use as many resources or cause as much damage to the environment.

Vogue Business reported that the Russia-Ukraine war has resulted in a spike in demand for lab diamonds. That’s because people are concerned about the ethical implications of using natural diamonds from Russia. Thus, they’re switching to alternative means.

#5 Rare Carat’s Lab-Grown Diamonds Look the Same as Natural Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are created in a lab, but they look exactly like natural diamonds. You can use them to make engagement rings and other jewelry, and it will be hard for anyone to tell the difference between them.

Just like natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds look the same as their mined counterparts. The only difference is that they are made in a laboratory rather than mined out of the earth.

You can’t find any difference between the natural and lab-grown princess cut diamonds from Rare Carat. The man-made ones are cheaper, but there’s no way to tell them apart with the naked eye.

Compare a lab-grown and a natural diamond from Rare Carat, and you’ll see the difference. The lab-grown one is a perfect diamond and will look good on engagement rings and bracelets. Natural diamonds have impurities, and they’re not that shiny, either. Even then, there’s not much separating the two when you look at them with the naked eye.

However, this doesn’t mean they don’t have their own unique qualities that make them worth considering as an alternative to natural gems.

All these are some of the most common reasons why people should consider buying lab-grown diamonds over natural ones.

Claire’s Life: Celebrating the Givenchy Atlanta Store Opening with Creative Director Matthew M. Williams x (b).STROY

Happy Wednesday, Bombers and Bombshells!

I just landed in Miami for Art Basel! Before I touched down, I stopped by a Givenchy store opening last night in Atlanta and was met by fellow guests Lil Yachty, Trinidad James, Sonny Digital, Mike Will and more:

The Parisian house and its creative director Matthew M. Williams recently collaborated with (b).STROY, a design duo out of Atlanta, on a capsule collection. Established by two ATL streetwear pioneers Dieter Grams and Brick Owens and now headquartered in New York City, (b).STROY has garnered the attention of 032c, HypeBeast and most recently Givenchy. (b).STROY is the culmination of experimental fashion, expressive style and, as such, Givenchy has decided to pick their home of Atlanta as the location of its next store, nestled right in the heart of Southern luxury, Phipps Plaza.

This is the design house’s eighth freestanding flagship store in the country, a milestone described by CEO Renaud de Lesquen as an “[…] opportunity to connect directly with Givenchy’s fast-growing fan base in a highly engaging retail environment.” Stylists, influencers, and industry insiders all came by to toast to style and get an exclusive first look at the newly unveiled Givenchy x (b).STROY pieces.

As part of his fashion catalogue, Matthew M. Williams co-founded 1017 ALYX 9SM and has joined forces with Nike to deliver innovative capsules. Williams’ has been steering Givenchy’s creative endeavours since 2020 and has led the brand towards a path of collaboration with emerging designers that embraces technology. As someone who places his bets on the subcultures and underdogs of the industry, Givenchy has designed both clothing and exclusive fashion NFT’s with (b).STROY as well as other indie designers of their caliber through Williams’ collaborative framework and forward vision.

For the occasion, I wore Givenchy red, anchored by Givenchy boots, pants from FashionBombDailyShop.com, a Rick Owens top, and a coat from Daniel’s Leather.

The fun and fashionable events will continue in Miami! Keep it locked here, @clairesulmers , and @fashionbombdaily for more!
