Real Style: Paris Men’s Spring 2014 Fashion Week Day 3

So Paris Men’s Fashion Week ended yesterday, and for my last day, I attended the Lanvin show.
My little point and shoot camera is fine…but doesn’t take the best shots, so I tapped Julien Boudet to capture a clearer picture.

Take a look:

Givenchy isn’t only beloved by rappers and ballers! This slick haired model looked quite handsome in black slacks, sturdy boots, and the label’s Columbian fit plane printed tee.

This editor uplifted a pair of shorts with Givenchy’s black and red Bauhaus Madonna tee. Also, I know you guys think only bloggers wear their blazers perched on their shoulders, but it’s actually more of a European look. It works!

I officially have a new street style crush, and her name is Esther Quek. The Group Fashion Director of The Rake always looks beautifully bada$$, accessorizing masculine separates with supremely feminine touches, like dangling earrings.

This bearded gentleman caught Julien’s eye.

And this young man allowed his tattoos to take center stage in a black v-neck tee and black loose fit pants.
I also captured a couple diverse subjects on my point and shoot:

Angelo Elizabeth of the blog King-Elizabeth.com added interest to an all black look with a gold chain and Givenchy Madonna clutch.

I snapped this picture of Esther Quek outside the Dior Homme show. Please note two things: How much better Julien’s camera is than mine. How fly she is. I’m loving the colors and haberdashery!

And lastly, prints were on tap for this street style photographer who refused to look at my camera! He complemented a Givenchy paisley button down and matching shorts with green socks and white shoes.

And that does it for Paris Fashion Week Street Style!

For yesterday’s shows, I tried a menswear look, which is so not like me if you’ve ever paid attention to my style!

I love a good skirt or dress, but opted for a Theory skort suit in khaki green, topped off by Kenzo patent ‘Aladin’ loafers for day 3.

It’s been cool and rainy here in Paris, so I brought along an umbrella in case of a torrential downpour, and stored a few essentials in a Cashhimi clutch.

Then I was off to blog it up a bit before my next engagement.

Hey Ladies!
So I’ve been enjoying my time in Paris, chatting with select celebs and documenting loads of Street Style.
For my séjour, I actually rented an apartment in the Marais, so took a few moments to shoot one of my outfits on the ‘terrasse.’

It’s actually a bit chilly in France, so I’ve been going for long sleeves, and plucked a Diem Silk Shirt in a Yellow Print by Equipment for my 2nd day of shows.

I picked up the block pattern in the shirt with a bonded split skirt by Nicholas and my Givenchy shark tooth sandals.

Happy Monday!
This past Saturday, I was offered the awesome opportunity to participate on the keynote panel of the Blogging While Brown Conference alongside Necole Bitchie, Karen Civil, and Angel Laws of Concrete Loop.

The subject was “From Blogging to Empire Building“, and we chatted about the positives and negatives of blogging, and also offered pointers on how to turn your hobby into a business (the short answer: mix passion with hard work).

The ladies who shared the stage with me are not only colleagues, but are also inspirations, so it was an exciting moment–and hopefully a foreshadowing of even more fabulous things to come.

Faith was traveling and Cliché got the times mixed up, but Jihan did come through in a spring ready Equipment striped shirt and Zara floral pants, topped off by a Jewelmint Necklace and Aldo white pumps.

As for me, I slipped on one of my (and Jihan’s) favorite designers, Mary Katrantzou, specifically her Spring 2013 printed long sleeve blouse and Venezuela skirt.

I accessorized with Proenza Schouler Silver Sandals, a Baublebar Twitter nameplate necklace, vintage sunnies, and my favorite Proenza plum bag.

Apparently Necole and Angel took video of the proceedings, so I’ll update the post once I get a link.
Until then, what do you think of my conference look?

P.S. Shout out to the readers who came, including Toia of the Blog www.luvtobnatural.com
