More than a few of you asked for details on a gray sweater we included in our Fall 2014 Style Inspiration!
So much so, that I figured I’d give it a feature of its own.
The fun, flirty, winter ready sweater is by Black Five, and is actually on sale for $40, down from $70.
It seems as if it also comes with a flouncy skirt. Slip on a pair of thigh highs and you’ll be good to go!
” Some people don’t like some of things I wear but thats what personal style is all about…”
“…wearing what makes you comfortable.”

Cute! I love your white flirty skirt.

We haven’t had a Bombshell in what seems like a minute! Re-energize your fashionable spirits with Monica from Atlanta:
Monica has been featured quite a few times before, but wrote in recently to show us her style evolution.
She says, “There is nothing better than a good style twist, hence I love making classic pieces trendy and modern.”
” Great style is not made of only expensive pieces…”
“… rather a combination of high and low.”
” It’s my little fashion mission to show my followers how to mix low fab finds with great pieces.”
I love everything! This is a great way to start the week, no?

Set it off for New Year’s or another sultry engagement in Muehleder’s $325 Chiffon Janet Dress:
The fun party frock has a sheer top and a neoprene bottom.
The deep v cut shows off lots of cleavage. Purchase a coordinating bralette for coverage.

Happy Friday!
We’re ending this fabulous week with Yetunde from Maryland:
She says, “My style is Poised, Modern, African, Chic.”
“I was born in Nigeria and I learned to sew a couple of years ago…”
“… so I try to incorporate my culture into my craft by sewing mostly with African fabric.”
” And because the fabric I use is so vibrant, it allows me to brighten up my closet, especially with colors I won’t normally wear. “

Happy Thursday! So I flew to LA yesterday to attend Ebony Magazine’s Power 100 Gala.
I made the list this year as a ‘Power Social Media Influencer’ and was invited to the magazine’s star studded Gala, hosted by the ever so brilliant Quincy Jones. For such a historic African-American institution, I wanted to wear an African-American designer, so tapped the talents of Harlem Haberdashery’s Kells Barnett to create this mermaid hem, bold blue gown.
I accessorized with BCBG stone earrings and a simple blue Carbon Showroom clutch.
The actual event was lots of fun! We jammed all night to Doug E Fresh, Slick Rick, Patti Austin, and much more. I grabbed a few flix with Anthony Anderson, Niecy Nash, Bevy Smith, Teyonah Parris, Kyla Pratt, and Tichina Arnold, and even had a chance to chat up Quincy Jones himself.
His advice to everyone: “If you can see it, you can be it.” At any rate, I am pooped, but I gotta keep it moving! I’m planning our next Cocktails with Claire for New York and LA. Until then, Bombers and Bombshells, thoughts on my choice for the gala?
