Awards season is here! The 2016 People’s Choice Awards is kicking off a jam-packed next few months with our favorite actors, TV personalities, songstresses, and more in attendance.

Priyanka Chopra went for full-on glitz in an allover paillette Vera Wang dress. I can’t wait to see what she wears for the rest of awards season!

Rocsi Diaz slipped on a gold contrast bodice gown from Theia.

Keke Palmer gave a flash of ab in an off-the-shoulder black lace Yousef Al-Jasmi crop top and high-waist maxi skirt, accessorized by Anne Sisteron jewelry. I liked this.

Christina Milian definitely turned it up in a purple sequin gown with a thigh-high slit. Werk Christina!

Kat Graham gave a modern spin to the classic black and white LBD in a leather trim bodice and lattice-work sheer skirt number for the awards show.

Devon Franklin and Meagan Good were all smiles on the red carpet.

Jason Derulo and Daphne Joy were quite the good looking couple! Jason wore a dot blazer with a fringe-hem scarf and Daphne donned a white cutout turtleneck gown with silver embellishment and a thigh-high slit.

Liz Hernandez shimmered and sparkled in a $210 House of CB Zouita Dress. Hot!

A natural updo, statement-making gold necklace, rust sleeveless top, and white full skirt were on the menu for Grey’s Anatomy’s Jerrika Hinton. She’s gorgeous!

Straight Outta Compton’s Aldis Hodge was dapper in a grey suit. Isn’t he scrumptious?

Arden Cho tried on the sheer dress trend for size in a red and black embroidered shirt dress style from Mario Dice. This was fab.

Kate Hudson was white hot in a strapless jumpsuit. Her style is impeccable!

Tamala Jones flaunted her curves in a striped embellished dress with a jewel-encrusted neckline.

All-black was on the agenda for Nathalie Emmanuel in a sheer knit crop top and high-waist velvet trousers. Hot!

Julianne Hough gleamed in a black sequin off-the-shoulder gown with a cutout bodice from Kaufman Franco, accented with Forevermark Ear Cuff Studs and a Stackable Ring Set from the brand. Great dress.

A velvet studded Balmain dress was Meghan Trainor’s choice for the occasion. To wake up and find this beauty hanging in my closet…sigh.

I mean, we always have to give a mention to Uncle Jesse John Stamos right?

Vanessa Hudgens glimmered in a silver metallic Kayat gown with a deep v-neckline and thigh-high slit. Hot!

Amber Valletta looked every bit the supermodel in head-to-toe Balmain: a $2,135 One Shoulder Cutout Viscose Knit Dress and $1,927 Ava Suede Lace Up Boots.

Lea Michele’s toned gams were on display in a long-sleeve embellished Elie Saab LBD. The brand simply can do wrong when it comes to red carpet-worthy frocks!

Shay Mitchell skewed sultry in a black halter dress with a thigh-high slit with silver strappy embellishment. Total babe.

We have all missed Nene Leakes’s presence on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but Nene is feeling no such loss—keeping her “very rich” distinction as well as her fashionable status by taking on the role as a special co-host for Fashion Police as reported by PEOPLE:

The actress, fashion designer, and reality TV star will be in the company of Melissa Rivers, Brad Goreski, Giuliana Rancic, and Margaret Cho. And this isn’t her first time at the rodeo as Nene has been appearing off and on as a judge for the past three years.

Some of us know her as Dascha, others of us know her as Dayanara. Whatever you know Dascha Polanco as, today she is simply known as our ultimate Beauty Crush.

Dascha Polanco is a Dominican American actress, most infamously known for her role as Dayanara Diaz on the comedy-drama (and highly addictive show) Orange Is The New Black. She’s also been an extremely vocal actress on her role for female empowerment in Hollywood, the importance of family support (considering she’s also a mother of three) positive body image and voicing her thoughts on prominent Latino issues in her community.

Polanco was born in the Dominican Republic (shoutout to my Dominicans!) and moved to the United States at a young age, being raised in both Brooklyn and Miami by her parents.

Afraid of pursuing a career in acting at first , Dascha instead pursued a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hunter College, thinking she would want to eventually become a nurse. Though she began working as a hospital admin shortly after graduation, her passion for the arts never subsided, and consequentially, she mustered up the courage to enroll in the acting studio BIH Studios, where she was then scouted and signed to a talent agency. Talk about a fairytale story!

Even though she played a few minor roles here and there, she’s best known for her role as “Daya” on Orange Is The New Black, which has since opened up the opportunity for her to perform, such as the independent film Gimme Shelter, the comedy films The Cobbler and Joy (alongside many A-list celebrities), and the future film, The Perfect Match.

 Polanco is currently partnered with the NFL for their Women’s Apparel line alongside other big name celebrities. She’s the only Latina to be featured in the campaign, and is definitely opening doors for other women of color to be seen! Go girl!

Dascha Polanco can teach us a lot of things (and make all of us curvy girls proud in how she loves her body) but one thing that’s evident is that pursuing your dreams are always worth it. She may just be getting her start, but we can only imagine what’s to come for this beautiful and rising star. She’s our Beauty Crush, is she yours?
