Guess has launched a new line, Guess Originals, which will revive designs from their 30 year archive. Rapper and fashion lover A$AP Rocky is only the first of the creative minds the brand will ensure these designs have a contemporary twist. His collection, Guess Originals x A$AP Rocky, has clothes for men and women and focuses primarily on denim in all its incarnations: acid-wash, skinny jeans, button ups, and overalls.
The sub-line will officially launch in February and is under the direction of Founder and Chief Creative Officer Paul Marciano. Rocky, who has previously collaborated with Raf Simons, and Jeremy Scott, infused the line with his signature style. The two S’s in Guess are now dollar signs and the new logo is can be found on a majority of pieces in the collection.
His influence can also be seen in the fully interactive installation created to celebrate the collection’s launch. Rocky’s own artistic collective, AWGE, collaborated with Guess to create a vintage basement with an ambiance straight from the 90s thanks to wood-paneled walls, Nintendo consoles, arcade games and CDs.
The entire Guess Originals collection will be available at select US stores and on their website on Monday February 18th. Check out the campaign photos below and let us know if you’ll be lining up for the vintage inspired clothing!
Though we haven’t had the pleasure of listening to ANTi just yet, we do have some other momentous Rihanna news to announce. The Bajan beauty will be taking the stage at the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards next month:
A new 40-second TV ad starring Ms. Fenty was just released, in which she flips a coin with Jim Nantz from CBS Sports. In it, she states “I’m worth the wait”—truer words were never spoken, though we’d love something new from the bad gal soon! Watch it below.
Mark your calendars for February 15th!
Are you excited to see Rih perform at the GRAMMYs?
Another Sunday, another award show! Our favorite supermodels, action stars, comediennes, and more were in attendance at the Critics Choice Awards.
Let’s see what they wore!
Regina King gave a flash of abs in a silver beaded crop top and a high-waist white ruffle skirt with a waterfall hem from Krikor Jabotian. Awards season is definitely the time to take risks and this one totally paid off. Hot!
Zoe Kravitz’s Dior Couture look was a study in colorblocking with a coral peplum top and orange cropped trousers. It’s great to see her in color!
Niecy Nash was pretty in pink in a one shoulder, ruffle-accented Gauri & Nainika number. She’s never looked better!
Gina Rodriguez slipped on a cap-sleeve Safiyaa gown with a deep v-neckline in a lovely shade of peach. Simply stunning.
Tracee Ellis Ross gave some flair to an understated black Randi Rahm gown with colorful beaded short sleeves and multi-hued drop earrings. Gorgeous!
Mary J. Blige demonstrated the power of pleats in a long-sleeve J.Mendel dress with cold shoulder detailing, a halter neckline, and a front slit.
America Ferrera brought some flair to a timeless LBD with a textured flair skirt, sky-high platform sandals, and a blush pink clutch. Cute, no? I like that she opted for a shorter length.
A classic black tux was on the agenda for Anthony Anderson.
Expert tailoring was on the menu for Aziz Ansari. He’s been killing it this awards season!
Newly-engaged Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham were easily one of the night’s best dressed couples. I loved her simple black Saint Laurent gown with an asymmetrical neckline and front slit. Hot!
Straight Outta Compton’s Neil Brown Jr. was dapper in a double-breasted gray suit with contrast black trim. Isn’t he handsome?
Liz Hernandez was the lady in red in a two-tone jumpsuit. I need this in my closet stat!
Constance Wu served up ice princess in a pale blue wispy gown with a plunging neckline. She’s slowly, but surely becoming one of my new red carpet favorites.
Shanice Williams was clad in an embellished bodice jumpsuit.
Helen Mirren showed us all how it’s done in a black and white floral print Dolce & Gabbana gown with lace trim. Take notes kids!
