Happy Monday guys! We’re going to kick off our Fashion Bombshell of the Day segment for this week with Fatou from Maryland:
“Hi! I’m Fatou and I’m the 22-year-old blogger behind the site fatoufall.com!”
“I just recently started by blog a month ago, and am still in the process of discovering my style!”
“The most important thing for me though when it comes to style is dressing for my body type!” I’m also pretty short (only 5’2), so I try my best to wear pieces that compliment that!
“I’m also pretty short (only 5’2), so I try my best to wear pieces that compliment that.”
“My style, for the most part, is extremely casual, laid back and comfortable.”
Cute style Fatou! I think although you say you’re still discovering your style, you clearly have an aesthetic that’s polished, cultivate and timeless. Plus, you’re rocking that off the shoulder top honey! If you guys want to see more, check her out on IG: @fatouxfall or her blog Site: www.fatoufall.com. Thoughts on Fatou’s style?

I have to admit, I love the lace-up trend. Aside from seeing celebrities rock it in shirts, dresses, pants and definitely shoes, we wanted to see how you, our readers, rock it! Let’s take a look:
Khara (@thebrunchbelle) said, “My name is Khara Connor, and I am a Caribbean girl from Anguilla living in the Washington DC area. This is how an island girl does the lace-up trend! Photos are by Jerome Dupont Photography (IG: @iamjeromedupont).”
The mother-daughter duo (@SueEvans_) and daughter (@ImaniEvans_) showed us how they rock lace-up heels. Ya’ll look like twins! (Black don’t crack).
The beauty @tulieyaito told us, “Paired this lace up thigh high boots with a customized broken c-d dress. ” So avant-garde! Love it! Marche Robinson of www.therobinsonstyle.com gave us double trouble in a lace-up dress and matching heels. Yum!
Shakira Lewis, aka @kira_nacole, gave us lace-up goodness in both snakeskin and in black. Love!
Bianca, @itsmsjones_2u, gave us multiple biker chic looks with lace-up black heels paired with black pants, a white tee, and a black leather jacket finished off with a beanie. Then she gave us a black romper paired with the trend, accentuated with a statement rose-gold necklace, black clutch and black sunnies. Definitely a cute date-night look!
Keith Bailey, aka @fashionswarrior, wrote “This is how I styled the lace up trend on my sister (@Dirathedoll) for Rihanna’s ANTI World Tour. Her hoodie/dress is by Hood by Air, shoes by Jeffrey Campbell.” Werk it honey!
Cute looks guys! Now I want some lace up shoes. We’ve got a gallery curated of other submissions that came in, so definitely check them out. What do you think? If you had a lace-up look, send it to submissions@fashionbombdaily.com to be added to our roster!

Eudoxie Bridges served as a co-panelist at the EmpowHERment Retreat wearing the same $480 Self Portrait Azaelea Guipure Lace Dress that Tika Sumpter wore to the Glamour Brunch and Sarah Chapman wore to a tea-time inspired party:
The women kept their looks simple with tan strappy sandals.
Eudoxie highlighted her natural beauty with loose locks and light makeup.
Tika Sumpter looked gorgeous with her hair braided in a crown.
Sarah committed to the ‘Tea Party’ theme for her event and wore a fascinator hat.
I’m undecided on this one. All of the ladies rocked it! What do you think?
