By posting messages of self-empowerment, female solidarity and gender equality, Gurls Talk is all about opening up the lines of honesty and transparency for young women needing someone to talk to. Although it started with a singular hashtag (#letsgetgurlstalking), Gurls Talk is expanding to workshops in local schools where young women will physically be able to reap the benefits of having a community of support.With the goal of having young women open up and speak openly about their experiences, Aboah uses her personal life and struggles with sobriety, drug addiction and mental health as gateway discussers. She inspires others, through sharing her story, to know they are not alone in their quest for personal freedoms.
Adwoa is beautiful both inside and out! Inspiring young women to change the conversation and dynamic is not only commendable, but inspiring for us to walk in our own light!
