Rihanna shimmers and sparkles in her “This Is What You Came For” Music Video with Calvin Harris in an Isabel Hall Fall 2017 Glitter Jumpsuit and $195 Maison Close Villa Bel Ami Catsuit:
Rih added a high ponytail to the runway’s simple styling.
Her black sheer one-piece leaves practically nothing to the imagination: hence Rih’s styling of it!
Hot! I definitely have my eyes on Isabel, she just graduated from Pratt!
To all my lovely bombers and bombshells, I just want to take the time out to thank each of you for your continued support of Fashion Bomb! I know, at times, we can get so caught up in the red carpet ensembles and ‘who-is-wearing-who’ but I’ve been so grateful to all of you for rocking with us day in and day out. There’s no doubt that our readers are the motivation behind this ambitious team and we absolutely love ya’ll!
Anywho, now that I’m off my soapbox (lol), let’s get into some of our favorite celebrity looks of the week!
First up, we have the ageless Marjorie Harvey! The street style pro strutted her stuff via Instagram in a tan geometric print long cardigan and matching fitted pants from the ever-popular Balmain. She completed her look with ankle-grazing booties from the brand and Dior ‘So Real’ mirrored sunnies. Werk!
The 70th Annual Tony Awards were held on Sunday and it proved to be a memorable evening for some of theater’s finest performers. As the red carpet sizzled and the fashionable attendees made their way to the cameras, it was clear that many of our favorite fashionistas came to slay! And, Lupita Nyong’o is no stranger to turning heads. The critically acclaimed actress was clad in a floral print off-the-shoulder gown by BOSS; she kept her accessories to a minimum and let her flawless skin do the talking. And, I’m here for every single moment!
The lovely Gabrielle Union was spotted at a Jaguar Launch Party while wearing an ASOS navy blue jumpsuit and gold open toe heels. Gabby’s affordable ‘fit (and, its under $100!) showcases a plunging neckline, grommet detailing and open cut-out sleeves. In addition to forgoing any jewelry, she also chose a printed clutch and a sleek ponytail as impressive finishing touches. Go girl!
A HUGE congrats is in order for our next Look of the Week nominee Cynthia Enrivo! ‘The Color Purple’ powerhouse won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical in her role as Celie Harris. Her touching acceptance speech oozed raw emotion and humbleness; yet, she also shed immense amounts of gratitude that solidified her as even more of an inspiration. For the momentous occasion, Cynthia uplifted a striking tiered ruffle Roberto Cavalli dress that boasts long sleeves, side cut-outs and sheer panels. Talk about #BlackGirlMagic!!
Khloe Kardashian went for electric feels as she smized for the cameras at House of CB’s highly-anticipated Los Angeles Flagship Launch Party. The reality star/fitness guru flaunted every single one of her curves in a fitted tangerine ‘Martinique’ dress from the brand that boasts a rounded neckline, intricate side detailing and an impeccable silhouette. She’s stunning, no?
Our girl Jourdan Dunn was also on hand for the 70th Annual Tony Awards while donning a soft pink strapless Zac Posen gown, sparkly ankle strap sandals and eye-catching diamond accents. The supermodel’s satin gown uplifts a high-low hem, a structured bodice and a classic train. Hands down, this was one of my top looks of the evening and, there’s no denying, Jourdan looks like a total queen!
Now that we’ve seen the contenders, what do you guys think?
It’s the weekend! Which means it’s time to step out in style. If you haven’t already noticed, perspex heels are the “it” shoe of the moment. If you need a few ideas on how to dress up a pair, I’ve got you covered with 5 fabulous perspex heel inspired outfit ideas.
Upgrade a black and white look with an off-the-shoulder top and fitted pencil skirt with zipper detail.
Add in a few stylish details with a pair of black perspex heel sandals, a black leather tote bag, and square tortoise shades.
Brighten up your summer look with a multi-color striped dress offset by a distressed denim jacket and clear-strap heels.
Add the finishing touch with a red leather shoulder bag, black square-frame sunglasses, and a vibrant orange lip.
Put together a monochromatic look with a pink satin bomber jacket paired with a curve-hugging bodysuit and a small tote bag in a dusty rose hue.
Bring the look together with a pair of peep toe perspex block-heel booties, a nude matte lip, and silver jewelry.
Dress up a fitted midi dress with a khaki sleeveless jacket and black mesh perspex ankle booties.
For the final touch, throw in a Givenchy Medium Antigona handbag and a pair of oversized shadow sunglasses.
Opt for retro chic with a cropped graphic tee, high waist skinny jeans, and strappy perspex block heels.
Complete the look with a red embossed handbag, rose gold round-frame sunglasses, gold hoop earrings, and a bright yellow mani.

I love a flashback to the runway shows of the ’90s! Vogue.com has an expansive archive and the site just released images of Prada’s catwalks from the decade: naturally I’m salivating. Their Spring ’92 show featured none other than Naomi Campbell, Yasmeen Ghauri, Helena Christensen, and more.
The collection is much more pared-down than the iconic Italian fashion house’s current wares: playing on the streamlined silhouettes of the decade and the minimalist vibe that pulsed through so much of ’90s design. A halter crop top, high-waist wrap mini, and peep-toe mules felt decidedly modern on Naomi, while a pleated LWD on Helena Christensen is a reflection of the brand’s timelessness: if anyone still has the latter hanging in their closet, they’re surely wearing it this Summer.
A silky, yet slightly wrinkled button-front shirt and matching bottoms on Linda Evangelista put a flirty spin on menswear, and felt like a page from Rihanna’s style book. And the assortment was punctuated by a slew of all-white looks—clearly the idea isn’t new.
A leggy, tiered playsuit with contrast wave trim felt like a preview of Prada’s zany, present offerings, though bold ensembles like that were few and far between. It’s really amazing to see how the fashion house has evolved in almost twenty-five years.
I’m currently obsessed with a strapless, plaid wide-leg jumpsuit: it is truly one of the most chic pieces I’ve seen this year…and it was made over two decades ago. And if you look closely behind Yasmeen, you can see Andre Leon Talley, Anna Piaggi, and Suzy Menkes taking in the show from the front row. Fashion royalty who have been in the game forever!
Until next Friday…check out the entire collection here.
Lavene Cox looked sleek and sexy at the Orange is the New Black premiere in New York City wearing a Fall 2016 Laquan Smith olive green striped skirt and a taupe long sleeve shirt:
The olive green mid-length skirt features striped, sheer, horizontal panels. Her taupe, long sleeve shirt has a subtle pattern with a sparkle detail.
Laverne rocked a gold belt and single sole sandals to complete her ensemble.
