Here are the red carpet looks in 3…2…1…
Gabrielle Union flaunted her toned gams in a one-shoulder Marc Jacobs gown with a thigh-high slit. She’s always radiant.
Janelle Monae was suited up in a striped sequin Sass & Bide pairing. Hot!
Tracee Ellis Ross smoldered in a vintage 1983 Thierry Mugler python turtleneck dress that fit her like a second skin. Adding in some Christian Louboutin heels, she was perfection personified.
2 Chainz sported a Gucci embroidered shearling coat, a polo from the iconic Italian fashion house, and a refined updo.
Our own Editor-in-Chic Claire Sulmers went for a bold and colorful mini dress with a cape by MyChael Knight. She finished the look off with some metallic open-toed Guiseppe Zanotti heels. Hot!
Meagan Good certainly made a few women green with envy in a Lorena Sarbu cutout gown with a thigh-high slit in the vibrant shade.
Tia Mowry-Hardrict flaunted her curves in a printed Roberto Cavalli turtleneck dress with fringed detailing. Werk Tia!
Tia’s husband, Cory Hardrict, was one of the night’s best dressed men in a timeless tux.
Karrueche Tran was simple and chic in a black button-front dress and gold accoutrements. She’s gorgeous!
Yara Shahidi shimmered and sparkled in a sequin Tracy Reese dress. I live for her style.

Letoya Luckett channeled old Hollywood glamour in a red keyhole halter gown with a thigh-high slit.
Sheer side panels, cutout detailing, and a deep-v neckline accented Regina Hall’s sultry ensemble.

I loved Naturi Naughton’s Nina Ricci lace LBD, but wasn’t too keen on the hair…
A printed one-shoulder dress and black cutout sculpted dress were Julissa Bermudez’s choices for the awards show. The belt was unnecessary, but the look is cute otherwise!
Morris Chestnut chose a burgundy suit with contrast skinny lapels. In a word: fine.
Fantasia Barrino definitely turned heads in a sheer dress with sequin embellishment and embroidery. She’s been winning in the style department this year!
French Montana was so fresh and clean in a jacquard tunic, matching cream pants, and high-top kicks.
Sequins and florals came together for Andra Day’s midi dress. Isn’t she beautiful?

After Argentinian actress Sol Rodriguez was spotted at House of CB’s LA Grand Opening, we knew we’d see much more of this beauty! She took to the NALIP 2016 Latino Media Awards in a $179 White Tomsa Deep V Structured Dress from the brand:
Her soft stretch crepe LWD features a deep-v neckline, nipped-in waist, and mini length.
Solange Knowles went bold for her 30th birthday celebration—we wouldn’t expect anything less from the style maven! She posed on IG in the same $240 Diane von Furstenberg Nori One Shoulder Silk Chiffon Dress Garcelle Beauvais originally sported back in April:
Solo chose flat sandals for the ensemble, while Garcelle opted for a beige heeled ankle-strap pair.
The saffron, fuchsia, and pink silk-chiffon dress features a one-shoulder silhouette and ruched detailing.
After the show, it’s the after party! Models who stomped Balmain’s Spring 2017 Menswear runway, globally-renowned celebs, and the world’s most stylist athletes took to the celebration after the iconic fashion house’s show.
Let’s get into their looks, shall we?
Cindy Bruna looked every bit the model in a black leather crop top and high-waist slit trousers. Hot!
All-black ‘fits were also on the menu for Balmain boss Olivier Rousteing and Dwyane Wade. So handsome.
Ysaunny Brito uplifted black skinnies with a colorful, striped sequin tank.
Taiwanese-American actor and singer Vanness Wu was impossibly cool in black leather and brown suede boots.
When you look like Baptiste Giabiconi, a t-shirt and jeans is just as good as a tux!
Serge Ibaka was clad in a paint-splattered bucket hat and red bomber jacket.
Last, but certainly not least was Alessandra Ambrosio in a long-sleeve, colorful mini dress. I’ve been living for her fashion choices this month.
Her little red dress features French Chantilly lace, flesh-tone tulle, a pencil skirt, v straps, an internal boned bodice, push-up cups for support, and a knee length.
Hot!

Olivier Rousteing has every reason to be bold and brave. He’s the go-to designer for the celeb and jetsetting set all around the globe. He has amassed over 3 million Instagram followers, and counting by the minute. Balmain just got a major new owner—none other than Mayhoola for Investments, which also owns Valentino and put over a half a million dollars on the table to acquire the French fashion house. And he’s just collaborated with Nike.
His latest offerings for his Spring 2017 menswear collection were as flashy and fearless as ever. And to quote the phrase that everyone’s using right now: it’s clear that Rousteing has the range. The assortment kicked off with denim and ended with nighttime-perfect wear. So that you essentially can wear Balmain all day, in every way, for every occasion.
Glamour, embellishment, and color were on high: as are pretty much requisite for Balmain at this point. A glitter-adorned jumpsuit on Cindy Bruna screamed red carpet premiere, while a cobalt suede poncho and backpack were the perfect blend of function and texture.
Metallics had a moment on a gold tassel necklace and strappy metal sandals. And a sculpted choker on Tami Williams lent the finishing touches to a colorful printed long jacket and trousers.
Classic stripes were variegated and a veritable hue explosion, with combinations of cobalt, kelly green, pink, rust, and more. The fashion house’s trademark weaving was present on women’s tops and mini dresses—”going out” gear if ever there was any. And Rousteing juxtaposed that with easy, yet lavish takes on the classic sweatshirt and sweatpant pairing for men. Effortless slides anchored many of the looks and presented the best bets that the brand has for an “it” accessory for the season.
Crochet definitely channeled Spring, without feeling kitschy or overdone. It accented an on-trend halter crop top, high-waist ankle grazing skirt, a mini dress with chain link and lace-up detailing, a wearable black sweater, and multicolor trousers banded at the ankles.
Volume made its presence felt with billowing open jackets, cascading long sleeves, and regal cape silhouettes in sumptuous shades.
Denim felt anything but basic, in the form of oversized tunics, skinny leggings layered under boldly-hued shorts, utilitarian backpacks, and a sultry shirt dress with sheer panels.
The aforementioned lace-up detailing accented suede and denim tunics.
We know that Kanye West will be sporting the collection’s beaded jackets over the next few months, though the dresses with the glittering accent will surely impress wife Kim Kardashian and her lot of Balmain-loving sisters.
Rousteing did what he does best: showy and snazzy clothing that sometimes parses in function and mostly injects lavishness. And when your friends are the biggest supermodels, celebrities, and tastemakers in the world, why look any further than them for inspiration? That’s who influenced this collection and we know that all of his friends and muses are already chomping at the bit to slip into these designs.
Her white shirt features a pointed collar, button and concealed snap button half placket, decorative toggle buttons, button cuffs, ruffles on the shoulders and front, and self tie strings on the sides.
Her black mini boasts eyelet and toggle detailing and fringed sides.
Cute!
