Model Alessandra Ambrosio was on hand for the annual Brazil Foundation event last night while adorning a Temperley London Resort 2016 Sequin Embellished Crop Top, a matching Sheer Paneled Maxi Skirt, dazzling drop earrings, flowy brown locks and a rose gold clutch.
The fashionista’s bohemian-inspired look features geometric sequin embellishment, vertical sheer paneling and clean silhouettes.
When I first saw Alessandra on the ‘Gram, I was completely smitten with this ensemble. I mean, it’s eye-catching yet simple and it doesn’t require too many accessories.
Sup Bombers and Bombshells! This weekend I packed a small bag, hopped on a plane and traveled to ATL for Cocktails with Claire x Miss Diddy LA. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but I was excited to see what the A had to offer.
When I first told my friends I was going to Atlanta, I was met with lots of excitement. They would say, “I’m so proud of you!” or “I’m so happy for you!” and I’d stand there with an awkward smile and keep it moving. I didn’t get it. No one is coming to hear me speak on a panel. Not one person at Cocktails with Claire was coming to see me. They have no idea who I am and they probably have no clue that I’m a writer, let alone a Fashion Bomb Daily staff writer. This wasn’t a free trip. I volunteered to come. It wasn’t a glamorous trip either. I slept on the couch in my friend’s mother’s house. I flew in late Friday evening and left early Sunday morning yet, my friends were proud of me. I didn’t get it!
On Saturday I got dressed and headed out to the B Loft venue to help out. I watched in amazement as people came in eager and excited to meet Claire and the rest of the panel. One by one a panelist would walk in and the guests would swarm them. They’d request pictures, ask for advice or simply praise them for being fabulous. As the panel began, I listened to each woman talk about their moments of failure that lead up to their successes. Each panelist talked about working a job that they didn’t want to do. They spoke about stepping out on faith and landing in opportunities that aligned with their passion. That’s when it clicked to me; this trip was more than a nice gesture to volunteer. This was a way for me to step out on faith.
When you truly love what you do, it’ll never seem like work. It wasn’t until I listened to each panelist talk about how they pursued their dreams despite their circumstances, that I realized why my friends were so happy and proud of me. They recognized that with each event I attend or assist with, I’m taking a step closer to being who God is developing me to be. I still work a corporate job that is not in the fashion/journalism industry so each time I continue to step out on faith, I pull myself closer to my dreams. In the meantime, I appreciate being a small piece of the bigger picture. Volunteering at these events are second nature for me because I want to be in the presence of greatness.
By the end of the night, I realized I had zero pictures with the panelists (Why did I not stalk Marlo, Keri Hilson, Miss Diddy LA, Tameka Foster, Shun Melson and Shanti Das for photos?!) but I gained something greater than a photo; I felt at peace with myself. I received further confirmation when Claire came over to me with a big hug and said, “Thank you so much for all your help! It’ll all pay off!”
It will pay off. Not because Claire is my fairy godmother and will be there to make things happen, but because as long as your heart is 100% into what you do, you can’t fail! I say all that to say, if you want something, go get it. Do what you have to do to make it happen. I aspire to sit on a panel one day and tell this very story to inspire others. Everyone has a stepping stone; here’s mine.
It’s only Tuesday, but it’s clear that celebs are loving Michelle Mason this week! Along with Jamie Chung, Arielle Kebbel took to the Women’s Health Magazine Party Under the Stars in the same $471 Michelle Mason Black Mesh Plunge Top Heidi Klum originally sported back in June:
KeKe Palmer struck a playful pose alongside her stylist Geraldine Fernandez while wearing a Tommy Hilfiger Pre-Fall 2016 Nautical Print Blouse, velvet flared pants and tan boots. But, the gag is, Rita Ora also uplifted the same piece while out and about in NYC! In contrast to KeKe’s retro ‘fit, the style maven flaunted her enviable gams while opting for tailored burgundy shorts from the brand and delicate gold sandals.
The model’s take on the classic button-up was similar to Rita’s ensemble but included the navy version of her shorts. I’ve always been a firm supporter of all kinds of prints so this little number is right up my alley! Too cute!
Honestly, these are two totally different styles. But, I’m drawn to Rita’s ensemble, just based on the fact that she looks more polished – especially with the addition of the heels and the effortless updo.
So, let’s be honest, Who rocked it better: Rita or KeKe?
The lovely Gabrielle Union graced all of our Instagram timelines as she effortlessly slayed in a mind-numbing Creatures of the Wind Fall 2016 Embellished Black Midi Dress, strappy bronze metallic sandals and a chic blonde ‘do. Talk about channeling some serious #BlackGirlMagic!
This chic frock boasts intricately detailed long sleeves, a plunging neckline and a sleek silhouette. The timelessness of this look is everything! While Gabby opted for more modern accents, the runway model flaunted a classic red lip, dual cornrows and caramel-hued patent leather pumps.
Niecy Nash looked absolutely ravishing as she attended FOX’s Summer TCA Press Tour while donning a sultry $1,590 Herve Leger ‘Giselle’ Bandage Halterneck Jumpsuit and a structured metallic clutch. Now, let’s not forget, Muva Amber Rose also uplifted the same ‘fit at the 2016 Maxim Hot 100 Party a couple weeks ago. But, instead of opting for her usual blonde ‘do, the bombshell stunned in a platinum wig and oversized cat-eye sunnies.
The feminine piece features a plunging neckline, retro-inspired flared legs and a concealed back zip closure. The detailing is simple yet strategic as the jumpsuit accentuates each and every luscious curve. Cute!
And, the back view is just as amazing. If you’re up for the splurge, you can purchase your own here!
When it comes down to choosing a winner, I’m #TeamNiecy. Aside from the fact that I adore her on so many levels, I also love how she allowed the jumpsuit to be the primary focus of her look. Can’t wait to see what she slays next!
Her dress boasts beautiful tan tones and is crafted from soft stretch vegan leather.
With a deep V front, pencil cut and centre split, this dress is sexy yet simple. She completed her look with a pair of sold out statement 130mm leather and fox fur sandals from Dsquared2‘s Fall 2016 collection.
Her leather sandals DSQUARED2 – 130MM LEATHER & FOX FUR SANDALS
Her black nylon bomber features an attached black cotton-blend jersey drawstring hood, long sleeves, white logo chest embroidery, red and white “Drink from me live forever” sleeve embroidery, a black ribbed-knit wool neck, cuffs, and hem, a zip fastening sleeve pocket, four pen holders, push-stud fastening flapped front pockets, and a center zip fastening.
A bit pricey—as are all their pieces—but a great bomber nonetheless.

Blonde Bombshell Rita Ora continues to slay in the streets of New York City. She was spied leaving her apartment in an Antonio Berardi Fall 2016 One-Shoulder Suit:
Rita’s black single-shoulder vest features silver buttons that cascade down the right side of her top. Her look is paired with black straight-leg trousers.
Rita opted for a vintage-style up-do.
Rita has been winning lately. I’ve loved about 85% of her looks, including this one!
