So I’m going to be on Centric’s the Round, speaking my truth on April 15th!
I hopped over to the BET offices to film a promo yesterday, where I dispensed advice to readers.
I ran into my fellow ’roundmates’ Latham Thomas and Nadira Hira…
For my twirl, I rocked a Cushnie et Ochs dress (worn here and here), Balmain blazer, and Balmain boots.
I’ve been wearing my hair down a ton! I topped my look with a Sailor Cap from The Hat Shop:
What do you think?
* Be sure to tune into Centric on April 15th to see my twirl on TV!
The 2017 iHeart Radio Music Awards went down this weekend, with our favorite stylish musicians in attendance. The on-trend off the shoulder silhouette, vibrant hues, high-fashion designers, and curve-hugging silhouettes were all present on the red carpet.
Let’s see who wore what!
Both Jhene Aiko and Big Sean went bold in the color department, with the singer in a two-tone DKNY, off-the-shoulder dress with a thigh-high slit and the rapper in a red Goscha Robchinskiy jacket, Louis Vuitton logo t-shirt, and Etro trousers. They’re such a good looking couple!
Katy Perry showed off her new short ‘do in a strapless, gold and white August Getty Atelier jumpsuit with dramatic wide legs. Gorgeous, no?
Karrueche Tran was suited up in a red Yousef Akbar duo. This was fab!
Christina Milian shimmered in a silver, strapless Rubin Singer dress that hugged her every curve. She’s never looked better.
A belt as a top? It’s all in a day’s work for Halsey. The singer showcased her toned abs in a bright Versus Versace look. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but she makes it look effortless.
The Fifth Harmony girls always come to slay! They were all dressed in different Philipp Plein looks. So fierce!
Heidi Klum flaunted her mile-long stems in a black and white stripe, one-shoulder Redemption mini dress.
It was all about metallic for Demi Lovato in a combination of silver pieces from Moschino, Saint Laurent, and Ben Taverniti Unravel Project. There were one too many things to digest with this ensemble…
The Schott Perfecto model 118 leather motorcycle jacket features U.S. sourced, drum-dyed, hand-cut, heavyweight naked cowhide.
Her white sweater is made from loop-back cotton-jersey, features a print of Smith shot in 1978, and has a relaxed fit with a ribbed round neck that makes it ideal for layering.
The major detail of her ensemble were the YSL Fall 2017 boots that sashayed down the runway just a few days ago. The knee-high, crystal-embellished boots feature a slouched fit, pointed toe and slightly wedge heel.
I don’t know about you, but I’m kind of obsessed with these gaudy, bold boots! I think Rihanna wanted to take her new shoes for a spin so she didn’t style them to their full capacity. Still, she looks good in them. With boots that offer such a statement, her simple styling is appreciated.
What do you think? Are you feelin’ the first YSL Crystal-Embellished Boots sighting?

You likely haven’t heard of Toronto native Vejas Kruszewski and his eponymous label Vejas, but we don’t doubt that you will much more often in the next two years or so. The twenty year-old designer produces his collections between his homeland of Canada and Italy and showed with the big dogs again in Paris for Fall 2017, after being inspired by some old ceramics and crockery at one of the city’s flea markets.
That pottery influence was on display in bold, abstract printed knits on both men and women. Cap-sleeve, mock neck, banded waist—Kruszewski made sure that you’d not only want to buy into the pattern for the season, but to purchase it in bulk.
The way the brand injected traditionally feminine elements into its otherwise modern designs was intriguing. Ruched empire waists, square necklines, asymmetric hems for a flash of leg, molded busts, and tiered sleeves—they all made sense in the contemporary lineup.
The assortment was small and edited, but outerwear made a big statement. The designs brought Kruszewkski’s self-taught education to life, with a real sense of nonconformity to the traditional fashion rules.
I was most intrigued by the black leather designs—what can I say, I’m a New Yorker—though overall, I’m really looking forward to keeping up with Vejas and seeing what comes next.
What do you think of Vejas’s Fall 2017 collection?
