Her grey cotton t-shirt features a contrast black “Pigs Are Flying” graphic, round neck, oversized fit, long sleeves, dropped shoulders, and a straight hem.
Ashish + Thandie are a match made in heaven! And I’m wondering if any political undertones can be gleaned from this tee…
According to reports, Rihanna will be honored at the 69th Annual Parson Benefit.

The songstress will be honored alongside Eileen Fisher and Neiman Marcus on May 22nd at Pier 60.
Joel Towers, the school’s executive dean, said, “Parsons is proud to present Rihanna with this honor, as she has inspired millions through her powerful music and distinct style. She has championed our recent alumni on a number of occasions by wearing their designs. She is also creating important philanthropic programs, which support communities by fostering effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world through her Clara Lionel Foundation.”
Rihanna responded, “It’s such a thrill to know that a design school as prestigious as Parsons School of Design would present me with this honor. I consistently find creative and exciting designs coming from Parsons alumni, so I feel a deep connection to the school. But I am especially grateful that Parsons would recognize me for the work I’ve done in regards to philanthropy.”
Work it, Rihanna! Congrats!
Though she makes a living being one of the funniest women on television, this week’s throwback, Tracee Ellis Ross, definitely takes her fashion seriously. I guess when you’re an award-winning actress, producer, former model, and the daughter of the incomparable Diana Ross, having style just may be innate.
A native of Los Angeles, it’s easy to see why Tracee’s sense of style often skews simple. Slinky frocks and bandage dresses were her go-to’s during the early 2000’s, i.e. the Girlfriends era, always ensuring she had a fabulous shoe to pair them with.
An advocate for comfort, Tracee’s street style reflects just that while still staying chic and on trend. From a leather biker jacket and boots to an all denim look with fierce sandals, her versatility is bar none, as her desire to switch things up always keeps us on our toes.
Any style savant knows that beautiful, dizzying prints can do wonders for an outfit. Tracee clearly has an undying love for all things patterned, especially separates. Jackets, skirts, pants, and dresses…you name it! Whether striped or printed with a myriad of flowers, Tracee brings them to life.
When it comes to red carpet events and awards shows, Tracee oozes confidence and covert sex appeal. She pulls out all the stops with gorgeous gowns showcasing plunging necklines and curve hugging dresses in velvet. Sparkly sequins, tons of tulle, and even leather have all made their way on best dressed lists, and rightfully so. From Azzedine Alaïa to Zuhair Murad, we’d say she has this covered from A to Z.
These fantastic style moments don’t seem to show any signs of slowing down. Considering all the accolades Black-ish is receiving, we won’t be complaining to see more and more of Tracee. So here’s to this week’s throwback. One of the most humorous, intelligent and endearing women in entertainment today, Tracee Ellis Ross, our “Girlfriend” for ever. The cropped-fit cotton hoodie features grommets on the over-sized sleeves.
Cardi looked relaxed in a pair of black sweats and beef and broccoli Timberland boots.

The glow up is real! R&B soul singer Fantasia glimmered on Harry TV in a Angelys Balek Fall 2017 gold jumpsuit:
The stunning ensemble featured a collar and a drawstring at the waist. Fantasia kept the attention on the jumpsuit by pairing it with minimal accessories and gold strappy sandals.

It’s an interesting time in our history. With the election of President Donald Trump, it seems all gloves are off. Seemingly any strides we made regarding Civil Rights and equality with President Barack Obama has given way to open racism and disrespect, particularly of black women.
Yesterday, I read with dismay at how Bill O’Reilly said he couldn’t hear U.S. Representative for California Maxine Waters comments because, “I was looking at her James Brown wig.”
These two occurences kicked off a #BlackWomenatWork hashtag, where several black women outlined instances on the job where they were treated in unprofessional, immature, and inappropriate ways because of false perceptions about their skin color.
The result? Black women are getting the hell out of corporate America! They’re not getting a seat the table, so they’re making their own table.
It’s what I had to do as a Harvard Grad (with honors) with aspirations to work in fashion journalism.
Cardi B posed on the red carpet of the America’s Next Top Model premiere in the same $2,800 Gucci Floral Snake Print Dress that Kirsten Dunst wore to CinemaCon 2017:
