The stars showed up and showed out at the Deadline Emmys Contenders Party on Sunday night. Luxe fabrics, bold hues, flashes of skin, and suiting were on the style agenda for the night’s bevy of fashionable celebs.

Let’s see what they wore!

Tracee Ellis Ross was gilded in a slinky Prabal Gurung look. She’s always flawless!

Sanaa Lathan flaunted her curves in a navy, form-fitting dress with a contrast sheer black neckline. Hot!

It was all about plaid for Yara Shahidi in a $690 Prada Cropped Jacquard Knit Top and $760 Mini Skirt from the iconic Italian fashion house. She’s always the cutest.

Regina King was the lady in red, clad in an off-the-shoulder lace Theia dress in the fiery hue. Pretty!

Gina Rodriguez played on the timeless black and white combo in a ruffle Kate Spade dress.

Leah Remini showed that all-black is far from boring in a flutter-shoulder turtleneck, latex pencil skirt, and strappy sandals. She’s never looked better!

Michelle Monaghan was suited up in Gabriela Hearst for the fête. This was fab.

Queen Sugar’s Dawn Lyen-Gardner also chose a suit—hers was grommet-detailed in black and white.

Spring 2017 Style Inspiration: 5 Ways to Wear the Khaki Trend

Updated khaki and utilitarian styles is one of the season’s must-have trends of the moment. We all own a jacket, skirt, or a pair of khaki pants which makes it easy to get in on the trend. And khaki is such a versatile piece that you can wear just about anywhere, just dress it up or dress it down, depending on the occasion. If you’re into the khaki look, I’ve plucked a few of my favorite khaki style inspirations to give you some ideas on how to pull off the trend.

Style a pair of paper bag waist wide-leg khaki pants with a white lace bodysuit.

Complete the look with a double-breasted blazer, a pair of chain-embellished ankle strap sandals, and a quilted olive shoulder bag.

Dress up a twill jumpsuit with a pair of rope and leather ankle-wrap sandals and a quilted olive bag.

Add the finishing touch with a pair of oversized round sunglasses and stylish statement jewelry.

Create a simple city chic look with an off-the-shoulder twill asymmetric dress paired with woven frayed mules.

Keep the look neutral with a Pandora Box bag, threaded beehive drop earrings, mirrored sunglasses, and a sultry red lip for a dash of color.

Rock a casual khaki look with a color-block peplum jacket and black high-waist skinny jeans.

Add a few designer details with a monogram baseball cap, a crisscross leather sandal, top-handle shoulder bag, and aviator sunglasses.

Lastly, pair a one shoulder top with pleated cropped khaki pants.

Work the look with a pair of ring-embellished nude sandals, a bracelet leather crossbody bag, and a white fedora hat.

What do you think of today’s khaki inspired looks? Are you feeling the trend?

I am coming to San Francisco on April 15th for Cocktails with Claire SFO! We are having a panel, special guests, and more, including Branding expert and serial Entrepreneur Tyranny Allen, Reality Starlet Laura Govan, Model and Entrepreneur Nikki blades, and more!:

To celebrate, we are featuring Candice from San Francisco:

She was submitted by her coworkers from BrownGirlBloggers.com who said, “Candice is an entrepreneur and founder of BrownGirlBloggers.com in which she created to promote, encourage, inspire, and connect minority women who blog.”

” She also blogs about her personal life, style, and entrepreneurship on her self-titled blog CandiceVanWye.com and is the host of The Creative Millennial Podcast ; she thinks the best way to stay sane on this journey of living a creative life is to talk with her peers and learn from them! Every week she talks to creatives of all ages and success points about life, work, and love.”

“Candice began her personal blog in 2014 to share her personal style and journey as an entrepreneur. Eventually, she started Brown Girl Bloggers because she found it hard to connect with other minority women bloggers.”

She says, “I was meeting a ton of bloggers but I didn’t have a lot in common with them. I wanted to connect with women like myself and I also wanted to build a community since it seems that Brown Girls are rarely applauded in the blogosphere. I wanted to create a space where we would be featured and promoted.”

Brown Girl Bloggers is now a flourishing community that has resources, information, twitter chats and plans to have live meet ups to support minority bloggers.

So awesome. Can’t wait to check it out!

Bomb Product of the Day: Rayar Jeans Rolly Chain Jeans

Fashion Bomb Daily is kickstarting the chain jeans revolution with Rayar Jeans! The distressed, slim fit denim is given a boost with the addition of customizable chains that don’t rust, don’t turn colors, and can fit various sizes.

As a Rayar Jeans ambassador, I can tell you the following things: they’re not the best jeans to wear to go through airport security! But, they always get compliments. People far and wide ask me, “Where did you get those?”

Often imitated, but rarely duplicated, Rayar Jeans are in a class of their own. The chains are sourced from an exclusive retailer in the Middle East, ensuring high quality and lasting shine. It also means that all the ‘look-a-likes’ out there don’t stand a chance.

Wash ’em and wear ’em; they come in a host of colors.

Edward Enninful Makes History as the First Black Male Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue

It is a historical day: Edward Enninful has been named the Editor of British Vogue.

The current fashion and creative director of W Magazine has previously worked for Italian and American Vogue. At British Vogue, he will take over for Alexandra Shulman, who announced her departure in January.

The Ghanaian-born, London bred stylist got his start as the youngest fashion director at i-D magazine, where he created scintillating covers and editorials like his epic P.Y.T. Pre-Fall 2009 issue featuring Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez, Jourdan Dunn and Arlenis Sosa.

According to OrjinCulture.com, “In 1998 Enninful began contributing to Italian Vogue. A chance to work with fashion giants Franca Sozzani and Steven Meisel, it signified his arrival amongst fashion elite. Creating powerful imagery at Italian vogue; most notably he contributed to the infamous Italian Vogue “Black Issue” in 2008 that sold out around the world, and forced condenast to re-print an additional 40,000 copies. He directed the Italian vogue “Black Allure” shoot in 2011, which showcased the worlds top “up and coming” black models in luxurious, elegant, 20’s and 30’s themed gowns and accessories. In 2011 he also did a beautiful and sensual spread with three stunning plus size models, showing the world how high fashion larger models could be. In 2005 American Vogue invited Enninful to contribute to the iconic publication. While there he was able to work with the incredible Grace Coddington and Anna Wintour on shoots like “We Are The World” shot by Steven Meisel, where he showacased the top Asian, Black, African, Spanish and Caucasian models in a wildly luxurious shoot. His ability to create elaborate sets and add a richness to everything he touched defined his style.”

He joined W magazine in as fashion director in 2011, and continued his reign of sumptuous editorials, rich in diversity and stylish aplomb.

Enniful’s appointment is historic for the fashion industry. He is the first male and first black male ever to be named Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue. He also joins Elaine Welteroth, Editor-in-Chief of Teen Vogue, and André Leon Talley, Vogue US’s former editor-at large, as one of the few black people with high ranking positions at a Vogue iteration.

Fashion Bomb Daily was created as a response to the lack of diversity in the fashion world. For years, there have been accusations of racism in fashion; British Vogue at one point was highlighted as a magazine that didn’t feature black covergirls (in 2015 Jourdan Dunn was the first black model to cover the glossy in 12 years).

Enniful’s new role signals a new change and a seismic shift in the industry. It stands as a beacon for the diversity and inclusion we’ve been wanting from the fashion world for years.

Supremely talented and a true visionary, noone is more deserving of this prestigious post. A huge congrats are in order for his appointment.

Have you guys heard of Pretty Little Thing? The e-store sells loads of cute, affordable pieces.
After seeing Karrueche twirl in the brand’s $38 floral mini dress (then discovering it was sold out), I decided to pay their website a visit. I think this $62 silver halterneck dress is certainly a Bomb Product of the Day:

It’s slightly sheer, so might work best as a beach cover up!

On the Scene: The Fate of the Furious New York City Premiere with June Ambrose in LaQuan Smith, Serayah in LaQuan Smith and Seville Michelle, Laura Govan in Wilfredo Gerardo, and More!

The Fate of the Furious NYC Premiere was star-studded! The film’s cast, our favorite stylists, actresses, style stars, and more were in attendance.

Check out the night’s looks:

June Ambrose smoldered in a black leather jacket, lace cami, $350 LaQuan Smith Black Claire PVC Mini Skirt, and $650 LQS PVC Thigh-High Boots from the brand. Her sultriest look by far, I lived for this.

Serayah was clad in a long-sleeve, zipper accented LaQuan Smith LBD and a $367 Seville Michelle Maritime Rose Necklace—alongside musician Ohana Bam. Hot!

Laura Govan debuted longer hair. Hot! or Hmm…? She shimmered and sparkled in a red sequin Wilfredo Gerardo halter jumpsuit. I need this in my closet!

Nathalie Emmanuel was angelic in a white, sheer skirt gown with a feather stole. A bracelet by Alexis Bittar and ring by Eva Fehren added sparkle and shine. Gorgeous, no?

Michelle Rodriguez went glam in a strapless silver Vivienne Westwood Couture gown. She’s never looked better.

Tyrese, Vin Diesel, and Ludacris were all smiles for the evening!

Mommy-to-be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and fiancé Jason Statham were easily one of the night’s best dressed and best looking couples! I loved her simple, yet chic one-shoulder slit Brandon Maxwell LBD and his striped suit.

A sheer embellished Dior LBD was on the style agenda for Charlize Theron. She’s always flawless.

Jackie Cruz flaunted her toned gams in a long-sleeve, metallic mini dress and thigh-high boots. This was fab.

Elsa Pataky went bold in a form-fitting coral frock. Hot!

Jen Morillo was the lady in red, slipping on a strapless gown in the fiery hue.

I haven’t seen Shaggy in awhile! He kept it casual at the premiere in aviators, a cool black leather jacket, graphic t-shirt, cargo trousers, and high-top kicks. Great look!

Mia King was a blue dream, layering a cobalt fur over a navy slip mini dress. Fly, am I right?

Maria Menounos channeled Kim K in a black suede cap, black fur coat, black cutout dress, and gold booties.

Thoughts on the premiere’s looks?
