It’s been a while since we’ve had Mail Bombs, but the inquiries have been trickling in for this past week!
Let’s get it popping!
First up, we have Chloe who says, “I’ve searched hi & low for these shades, without any luck. I know you guys can find celeb items. PLEASE tell me Who makes these sunglasses seen on the gorge Bonang M?”
Sadly, they are sold out! But Fashion Bomb favorite brand Tnemnroda has a look for less! Their $45 At Your Best Sunnies come in a slew of colors (and I hear they are adding black soon).
Steph says, “I don’t see you doing mail bombs anymore, but decided to give it a try anyways! I absolutely love Kourtney K’s outfit, can you break it down for us? And maybe give us low version (am I asking too much!?)”
That does it!
We’re still open for Mail Bombs! Send an email to thefashionbomb@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to answer!
Have wonderful days!
Smootches!
CHANEL put on its latest Metiers D’art Collection in Tokyo! A few familiar faces were in the mix, but Japanese stars definitely stole the show.
Let’s get into the show’s looks!
It was all about red and black for beauty Willow Smith. I’ll take that top and those pumps please!
Selah Marley kept it simple yet chic in a “Gabrielle Chanel” graphic tee and gold pumps.
There were so many amazing celeb beauty looks! Crystal Kay’s retro-inspired ‘do was gorgeous—a great complement to her sheer quilted turtleneck, high-waist leather shorts, chain-link embellished sandals, and swoon-worthy stripe bag from the brand.
I’ve been dreaming about Chiaki Hatakeyama’s navy suede, button-front jumpsuit and single earring since I saw her look. Her buzz cut was also poppin’.
I actually need Alisa Ueno’s crochet top, colorful midi skirt, and kicks right now. So dope.
Japanese music duo AMIAYA made me want a pink bob, new Chanel bag, and some platform sandals STAT. Clearly, these Japanese stars are fly!
Tao Okamoto looked every bit the model in a sheer-sleeve LBD, logo belt from the house, and purple suede cap-toe boots. Gorgeous, no?
Aya Omasa’s ensemble read quite autumnal, but it was chic nonetheless! I wouldn’t mind seeing her quilted leather trousers in my closet.
Ryo Ryusei put an artful spin on the house’s signature black and white palette, choosing a bomber jacket, high-waist, wide-leg ankle length trousers, and studded sandals.
Japanese songstress Beni gave a fun spin to the classic all-black look, clad in a textured sweater and quilted mini skirt. Hot!
Kabuki actor Sennosuke Kataoke wore traditional Japanese garb for the occasion. I loved seeing this in the front row.
I am living for Yu Akimoto’s blunt bangs, though her embellished top and wide-leg trousers were pretty cool as well!
LALA’s bob was on point, as was her boudoir-inspired getup.
Eri Tachibana slipped on a check, trench-inspired dress, mini bucket bag, and timeless Chanel flats. So cute!
DJ Kurumi Nakada was outfitted in a silky parka, sheer lace jumpsuit, and studded pumps.
Nana Komatsu was ethereal in an embroidered dress with a sheer skirt and long sleeves.
Rihanna’s love affair with oversized clothing seems to be here to stay. The stylish songstress attended the Revolve x Made Worn x The Roc 96 party in LA wearing a Juun.J Fall 2017 white men’s shirt as a dress.
The look appeared on the brand’s Fall 2017 runway, and was paired with pants and boots.
Bad Gal Rih Rih kept her accessories subtle with a Maison Margiela transparent belt wrapped around her waist and transparent heels adorning her feet. Her lime green nails added the only pop of color to her neutral ensemble.
This look is perfect for Rihanna. Men’s shirts as dresses are a sexy style that very few can pull off – leave it to Rih to kill it! Are you here for Rihanna’s Juun.J look? We want to hear from you! Vote below!

Fanny packs aren’t new or old, it’s…a little bit of both. But there’s something about that waist bag this season that’s drawing some fashion forward attention.
Let’s face it, fanny packs will forever cross paths within the world of fashion. Since the 80’s it’s been a phenomenal staple that fashion lovers love to hate or keep rocking!
This year it’s coming back fresher than ever because it’s simply more versatile and can be worn with practically anything these days.
You can thank Gucci’s fall/winter 2017 ad campaign, Supreme x Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter ’17 campaign, DKNY spring/summer ’17 ready-to-wear collection, Balenciaga and even Rihanna’s Fenty Puma line for that, as well as many other known designers who are keeping this look alive.
The style is expressive and designers made that known. Fenty Puma spring/summer ’17 collection for instance, has oversized bow-like shaped belt bags (another name for fanny packs) that have you wondering if it’s still actually a bag or just a huge bow-tie accessory?!
From the runways, to ad campaigns, to online retail shops, to the streets fanny packs are seen more oversized, elegant and sportier. And the detailing this season speaks on its own: quilted leather, fur, patchwork, nylon and even clear belt bags are seen trending.
Celebrities like Kendall Jenner, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, and even Dwayne “The Roc” Johnson who did a blast from the past spin for SNL in May in order to recreate his iconic social media frenzy photo of himself rocking a fanny pack. Nevertheless they are all sporting the trend with their own swag in the mix.
What do you think? Would you rock it? Or knock it?
Whoever said women should be seen and not heard obviously didn’t think twice before uttering something so foolish. This week’s throwback definitely dispels the antiquated notion as her voice precedes all else. With a vocal range on the cusp of all things angelic, Céline Dion’s mellifluous voice has resonated in the hearts and souls of many with her chart topping hit songs. But beyond the music, perfume empire, headlining Vegas residency and countless accolades, she’s always been a fashion enthusiast: Christian Louboutins counting among some of her favorite conquests. So, let’s take a peek at how the Canadian songbird’s style has transcended over the years!
Since crossing over to the American market, Céline always left an impression on the red carpet. From a black velvet sheath dress covered in dazzling embellishments to fun, slinky floral printed frocks, she wanted to wear looks that mirror her fun personality.
As the years progressed, her looks became more daring. Opting to show more skin, she slipped into sheer lace column dresses and body hugging bandage gowns, taking heed of the “sexy” trend that dominated the nineties.
Being a legend doesn’t come without a few notable fashion moments. Who could forget Céline’s elaborate Mirella and Steve Gentile gown she wore down the aisle at her wedding to manager, late Rene Angeli? Covered in over 2000 Austrian crystals and featuring a 20 foot train, she looked like a fairytail princess.
She went against the grain at the 1999 Oscars, an awards show known for its glamorous red carpet gowns, by sporting a white silk Dior pantsuit with a fedora. But in true Céline fashion, she shocked onlookers and the press by wearing jacket backward. Though many hated it, you have to admit, it was a look ahead of its time. How cool is it from the back? She took onlookers by surprise again when she chopped her darker locks for a cropped, curly platinum-blonde ‘do. Whatever the era, she played with trends all the time, while still throwing in lots of dazzle and skin. These days, she’s teamed up with celebrity and fashion stylist, Lawrence Roach, who has transcended Céline’s already superstar status into the world of fashion. She’s been slaying every red carpet in gorgeous gowns, either metallic, leather and showcasing her lengthy legs.
Even for everyday wear, Céline sports some pretty trendy looks. From a heart emblazoned on a Schiaparelli jacket to a sweatshirt paying homage to the blockbuster film Titanic for which she sang its main, award winning song “My Heart Will Go On”, her wares for daytime don’t miss a beat. Whether in separates…
…or cute A-line dresses in bold colors. So chic!
To an icon not only in the music world, but clearly in the world of fashion, our hearts will forever go on for this queen.

Gotta love the power of the internet! Gucci posted the below image from their Cruise 2018 collection to their Instagram page, writing, “Inside the #GucciCruise18 collection by #AlessandroMichele, a look that celebrates an iconic style of hip-hop fashion culture from the 80s—a plush jacket featuring puffy sleeves monogrammed in GG motif. Legendary tailor Dapper Dan @dapperdanharlem influenced the trend by making such custom pieces for his rapper and athlete clients out of logos from famous fashion houses, including #Gucci. In a homage to Dapper Dan, this jacket worn with jeans and a lurex headpiece is flanked with a striped knit with cross-stitch embroidery, cotton shorts and a georgette gown with trompe l’oeil details.”
It’s unsure as to whether Gucci planned to acknowledge Dapper Dan all along, or if they felt pressured to do so after so many sites spotted the similarities between their puff sleeved jacket and Dan’s creation.
Either way, it’s wonderful that they acknowledged him! And here’s a Fashion Bomb Exclusive: a member of Dapper Dan’s camp got in touch, and said, “Behind the scenes, Dap is working on a project that will be announced soon.” Can’t wait to hear what that might be!
Keep it locked here for the scoop.
What do you think?
Of course it was all Gucci at the brand’s Cruise 2018 Fashion Show in the Palatine Gallery of the Pitti Palace in Florence. Creative Director Alessandro Michele presented his artsy collection amid Renaissance paintings and a flock of faddish celebs who were all dressed in the appropriate uniform – Gucci.
Let’s jump right into some of the most swank looks at the event.
Donald Glover was dashing in a Gucci Spring 2017 white printed shirt, navy shorts and white leather Ace slide sneakers.
Kirsten Dunst hit the Cruise Fashion show rocking a Gucci Spring 2017 orange blouse and an orange pleated embroidered skirt.
Dakota Johnson blessed the event wearing a Gucci Fall 2017 floral jacquard sleeveless dress with a plunging neckline. She completed her look with a pink velvet embroidered GG Marmont bag.
Jared Leto made a colorful statement in aGucci Fall 2017 lavender velvet robe with a blue and red silk shirt, yellow trousers and silver high top sneakers. Ok, Jared!
Salma Hayek Pinault looked graceful in a Gucci Fall 2017 long sleeve floral printed dress carrying a pink velvet embroidered GG Marmont bag and rocking gold platform sandals.
Sir Elton John was royal in a Gucci DIY Signornia suit with a crystal lizard on the lapel. David Furnish was dapper in a Gucci Spring 2017 blue and white Signoria checkered suit.
Beth Ditto got creative in a Gucci Cruise 2018 blue and gold jacquard suit and a butterfly embroidered headpiece. I love this!
Soko graced the event in a Gucci Spring 2017 white, double breasted jacket, a Gucci t-shirt underneath, and matching pants.
Laura Love was obviously fierce at the event in a Gucci Fall 2017 black leather jacket and matching skirt carrying a red mini Sylvie bag.
Alessandro Borghi kept it casual in a Gucci DIY embroidered bomber jacket, a white cotton t-shirt, and a pair of red leather Ace sneakers.
It’s safe to say that this event was all about bold colors and eclectic prints, and I am feeling it! Who had your favorite look at the event and why?
