Today’s Bombshell of the Day is Porscha from Pennsauken, NJ.
She writes, “I would describe my style as “in the moment.””
“My style ultimately depends on how I am feeling at that present time. I would say that I am very simple and laid back. I am very curvy so I personally like to express myself comfortably while making a statement. Since I am very simple I like to incorporate a pop of color in my outfit or hues in my photos.”

Bad Gal Riri posed for the ‘Gram draped in Gucci look from their Pre-Fall 2018 collection.
The two-piece set features monogramed jogger pants and a matching zipped sweater with the brand’s signature colors on the sleeves and red, blue, and white painted on the front. Of course, the fashionista threw in her own pizazz with a brown coat over her shoulders and dangling green earrings to match her open-toe shoes.
Readers loved the look! Comments on our Instagram read,”It isn’t fashion until Rihanna makes it fashion,” and “She makes it look so easy! Like other people can wear it too… but not quite.” Rih definitely has that power!
Before Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, Rihanna, Kendall Jenner, and other faddish celebrities sported the baggy/oversized looks, female rappers and R&B singers like MC Lyte, TLC, Xscape, and Aaliyah had already stylish staked their claim in this fashion trend. When MC Lyte first hit the rap scene in the late 80’s with her frank lyrics and audacious attitude, she quickly proved that she could roll with the male emcees when it came to spewing lyrics and fashion.
MC Lyte was known for making shoulder pads, a jogger suit, or some loose fitting pants work. Her relaxed style of dress opened up a new fashion lane for some of her young female successors.
The early 90’s girl group TLC were all about the oversize look. Their liberated style choices played a crucial role in kicking off the 90’s fashion that is still prevalent today.

Shortly after TLC’s debut came another popular girl group donning the oversize look; Xscape. In the beginning of their career, these ladies kept it all the way street with their sporty looks. They personified cool in a feminine way and had girls all around the nation just kickin’ it in their baggy gear.
Taking a note from the style books of her R&B predecessors, Aaliyah took the oversize trend and made it her own. She cleverly mixed sexy with tomboy chic, and has been dubbed by many as the poster girl for 90’s fashion.
Are you a fan of the oversize trend? What other fashion trends can you think of that were started by our culture?

Last night, Black Hollywood showed out in support of the LA premiere of the film. Here’s some of the hottest looks that walked the carpet:
Star of the film, Oprah, showed off her snatched waist clad in a Atelier Versace dress.
Storm Reid was graceful in a custom Coach gown. She is such a beauty. Ms. Bassett does not age! She beamed in a blue sequin Greta Constantine ensemble. Look at those abs, yes!
Chloe and Halle complemented each other per usual outfitted in Zena Presley dresses. Beautiful ladies!
Yara Shahidi showed off her legs in a Chanel Spring 2018 dress. This up-do on her looks so cute with this look!
We can always count on Tracee to turn heads on a carpet! She was lovely in a Michael Kors rose jacquard dress paired with Manolo Blahnik light pink boots.
Director Ava DuVernay popped in a hot pink custom Cushnie Et Ochs dress. This is definitely her color, and the dress flatters her figure so well.
Cutie Marsai Martin always looks so age appropriate and fab on the carpet. She was clad in a ruffled Cinq a Sept dress.
Issa Rae went bold in a bright yellow Pyer Moss gown with draped sleeves. This color looks amazing on her.
Jurnee Smollett graced the scene in a Spring 2018 Missoni sheer lavender down. So classy!
Lastly, Meagan Good opted for a yellow Spring 2017 Help Rocha dress with ruffled details. Cute!

Kim Kardashian switches is up a lot, but one thing we haven’t seen from her is funky colored hair. The mom of 3 was spotted in Japan with pink tresses flowing down her back. Since Kim is such a trendsetter, this could bring back the crazed colored hair days circa 2012 when Nicki Minaj inspired the masses with her colorful and eccentric styles.
Not only did Kim debut her pink hair, but she was also draped in new Yeezy Season 7 threads. The look featured a cropped knit collared sweater, an oversized shearling lined coat, and gray sweats. She jazzed her ensemble up with knee high python boots.
You feeling it? Do you think her hair could be the start of a reoccurring trend?
Happy New Year!

It’s a battle of the Atlanta rappers! Gucci Mane posed for the ‘Gram over the weekend in the same $980 Gucci ‘Rainbow Hollywood’ sweater that Young Thug snapped a photo in a few days ago.
Young Thug channeled his usual bold style, coordinating the sweater with a a bright yellow hat, hot pink and white sneakers, and metallic Gucci logo socks.
Gucci Mane rocked Gucci from head to toe, pairing his sweater with Falacer Glitter low-top sneakers by the brand. Although the sneakers are glittery and a statement in their own, they didn’t take away from the sweater.
The blue sweater with rainbow lettering makes for a great casual statement. Both rappers have very individualistic styles which showed in their personal twists on the sweater.
I’d have to say they both did their thing with accessorizing. Who do you think wore it best?
