Wholesale Clothing Printing: Everything You Need to Know

Deciding where to get done printing for wholesale t-shirts is a tough job. As there are so many options in the market. Are you also worried about printing stuff and searching for the best place to get wholesale clothing printing? If yes, then read this article to know about the different options present for bulk t-shirts printing along with their pros and cons.

From Local Shop

Pros

  • Familiarity

There are several advantages of working with individuals you are comfortable with.

First of all, you will be in your comfort zone and thus be able to tell your requirements, needs, and demands very effectively. Secondly, you can also engage yourself in the printing process as your working connection is more personal.

  • Negotiable price

The greatest thing to do with local screen-printing stores is that the cost is going to be very open to negotiation.

In fact, you maybe get an important concession on bulk orders if you have excellent terms with the owner.

  • Gives support to the local economy

Local printing stores primarily depend on their local clients for their living. So, you can have a chance to boost their business by providing them with big orders that help in maintaining their business alive.

Cons

  • Little Resources for Customer Services

It is not financially possible for local printing companies to hire skilled personnel members for customer service. As a result, their customer service is not up to mark.

  • Time Consuming

Most printing shops have limited capacity and cannot speed up the whole process. So, you have to wait for a long time period.

2. From the Well-known Printing Company

Pros

  • Experience of Screen Printing

Established printers understand their work as they’ve been doing it for years now. Experienced employees have a better knowledge of the printing method than the local boys.

Therefore, by placing your project in the hands of any established industry, you can feel safer.

  • Excellent Customer Service

More often, customer service will be on top-notch if you work with big businesses.

  • Adjust the time of payment

With established businesses, you can almost always negotiate the payment time.

It will save you from unnecessary financial pressure because you won’t have to pay all the cash upfront.

Cons

  • Pay little attention

There are many clients of famous printing firms. Therefore, building a private working relationship with each client is not possible for them. So, don’t expect any unique favor because you’re just another business customer for them.

3. From Overseas Company

Pros

  • Cost-friendly

International businesses give a much better deal price for the cost than the prior two. So, if you have budget limitations and a few weeks at hand, then the perfect choice for you might be foreign printing firms.

Cons

  • Large turnarounds

Lengthy turnaround time is the largest issue with global printing businesses. It may be 4-6 weeks on average. So, check how long the printers will take to deliver before you place an order.

  • Little communication

A prevalent issue that individuals face in the communication issue when working with foreign businesses. The language barrier often makes it difficult to properly communicate the directions. They can also delay mail responses.

RECAP: Travel & GIVE’s Travel With a Purpose Fundraiser Recognizes Change Makers

By Keishel Williams

TW: @keishelNOTkesha

Many came out to support Travel & GIVE for their second annual Travel With a Purpose fundraiser on Saturday evening in Manhattan. The organization had a goal of raising $20,000 to fund programs they currently run in Kenya and Haiti.

Philanthropic guests were able to support by donating money on the spot, or by participating in the silent auction and raffle. Throughout the evening host, Brandhyze Stanley of Blue Bloods and Orange is the New Black, reminded guests that they are able to also support Travel & GIVE’s goals by volunteering their time and, or, talents on one of their future trips.

Three change-makers whose work has impacted his or her respective communities were also recognized that evening: Sean Williams, founder of The Dad Gang, received the Global Empowerment Award for the work his organization has been doing to dispel the negative stereotypes around black fatherhood. Brian Asingia, co-founder of Dream Galaxy, received the Global Educator Award on behalf of his co-founder Franko Abott and their organization which is an education distribution platform that focuses on storytelling.

The third recipient and special guest, Wamaitha Mwangi, flew in from Nairobi, Kenya for the event. Mwangi is the founder of Angel Centre, the primary orphanage in Kenya that benefits from this Travel With a Purpose fundraiser. Angel Centre rescues abandoned children and care for them until they are adopted. Angel Centre currently houses 48 orphans ranging from newborn to 9 years old.

The self-funded center provides these children with food, clothing, medical care and education. Fundraisers such as these along with the assistance from organizations such as Travel & GIVE  as well as individual assistance, is what has kept the Angel Centre in operation since it opened its doors in 2010. Mwangi received the Global Advocate Award.

There are a lot of abandoned children in Kenya and most of them end up dying because they are left in dumpsters, they are left in hospitals, some of them are born premature and then the hospitals do not have enough equipment to take care of them,” Mwangi said. “So the mothers that are from poor communities end up running away because the [newborns] that get into incubators, the bill becomes so high it’s easier to let it go.”

Although Travel & GIVE visits Haiti three times a year since its inception in 2016, this year was their first trip to Kenya where they went on a clear two-part mission. At the Angel Centre orphanage they painted, installed security locks, installed outdoor clothing lines, provided food for four months and funded 22 children with school fees for the remainder of the year. Additionally, they launched a multisensory digital program into seven schools in the Nairobi area. The self-sustaining digital program in the form of an app will allow students to have a digital learning experience.

In an emotional speech Martine Harris, co-founder of the organization, recalled how her own cousin who was born deaf and blind in one eye was adopted by her family in the U.S. because Haiti did not have the resources to help him. This inspired their work in Haiti.

With travel and give I want to provide knowledge to teachers and caregivers in Haiti on how to create that inclusive learning environment for everyone who has disabilities and learns differently,” she said.

The organization is currently preparing for their next trip to Haiti in a few weeks.

You Should Know: Travel & GIVE and Their ‘Travel With a Purpose’ Fundraiser Sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka

On the 5th of October in New York City, Travel & GIVE will be hosting their 2nd annual ‘Travel With a Purpose’ fundraiser sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka to raise awareness and money towards their missions in Haiti and Kenya! The philanthropic occasion, in such a harmonious atmosphere, will be placing a highlight on such a conscious cause while also providing the entertainment too. The event will be hosted by writer, actress, Blue Bloods and Orange is the New Black’s very own Brandhyze Stanley, with a live performance by Leah Simone. As well as a silent auction, raffles and open bar, an award ceremony will take place to honor those involved with the cause.

Their ultimate goal is to raise $20,000 to sponsor student’s education, provide wheelchairs, and fund the orphanages affiliated, with therapeutic materials. The tickets cost will contribute to Travel & Give’s programs that is ran in both Kenya and Haiti.

Founders Allison Anthonisz-Thorton, Christine Mercado, Dede Savirak, Jasmine Linton, Khalida Sims, Martine Harris, Monica Longmire and Octavia Yearwood as a collective, discovered the beauty and magic from one girls’ trip, and were able to build a foundation to create a movement. Where Martine Harris formerly worked in Port-au-Prince at a school, the frequent girls’ trips granted them an opportunity to harvest compassion and sense of awareness for their resources, networks, and hearts to coincide for a greater good.

After asking staff members what they were in dire need of, they realized the resources requested were things they often had taken for granted. As a result, all women took the initiative to provide the differently-abled and those who learned uniquely what they can, to sustain their livelihoods. It was then they thought it best to create Travel & GIVE as an effort to make global change by transforming communities.

With their power address towards communities around the world who are in need of advocacy and education, Travel & GIVE are able to cultivate inclusive environments for those living with disabilities and give them opportunities to grow safely and sustain comfortably. They are able to accomplish such goals with a great team of health professionals that volunteer their time to educate the caregivers of those communities the propers ways of stimulating pressing matters such as language development, feeding concerns as well as motor skills.

Since their establishment in 2017, they have managed to provide service in Kenya & Haiti by funding 30 children’s’ education, implement a multi-sensory digital learning platform in several schools throughout Nairobi, Kenya and raise well over $10,000 for orphanages for disabled youths. You can learn more here, and also purchase tickets to contribute to such a moving cause that will for sure make this world a better and more fulfilling place.
