Happy Friday! It is time to cast in your votes for Fashion Bombshell of the Week based on this week’s runway-ready contestants. The chosen Bombshell of the Week will be placed in the running for Bombshell of the Year!

Let’s recap on this week’s lovely Bombshells:

  1. Teaira from Los Angeles (@teairawalker)

Teaira is a vlogger who discusses her tips and life hacks as it relates to fashion, lifestyle, and beauty! We’ve heard the term that “less is more” and Teaira perfectly executes this notion with her simplistic, modern style.

2. Janeisha from Virgin Islands (@janeisha_missvi

Janiesha states “…I’d like to think that my style is inspired from my home. I love bright colors, I love edgy pieces that accentuate my Caribbean curves and my go to is a bold red lip that shows my confidence as a woman with big dreams from a small island…”

3. Khadijat from Nigeria (@peakmill)

Khadijat is a popular hair and beauty influencer and Youtuber who also possess an one-of-a-kind style! Khadijat regularly curates lookbooks for her Youtube channel, supplying her subscribers and Instagram followers with chic looks.

4. Sandra from Haiti (@lajoiesandra

A big favor of colors and modish patterns to compliment her looks, while on and off the job at Bravo TV, she’s sophisticated and girly. We definitely have to get into how’s she’s able to keep it simple, but still bring forth that colorful flare!

Now, it your turn to decide which of these fashionistas will be the Fashion Bombshell of the Week!

Recap: Nicki Minaj’s ‘Fendi Prints On’ #FendixNicki Party

Unless you live under a music less rock, you’ve definitely heard on multiple occasions Rap star Nicki Minaj coining the phrase ‘that’s a Fendi Fact!’; a unique way of declaring that her truths are unapologetically her own. It may have been just a catchy statement to her lovable #Barbz, but for Nicki it’s her embodiment of her ultimate truth, and her allure expressed through one Bomb capsule collection!

From steamy hot pinks coats, to flashy metallic pieces mixed with the label’s signature monogram pattern, there’s definitely a chic 80’s vibe with a retro twist of airbrush, and graffiti art that’s so edgy.

And those infamous Door Knockers gracing Nicki Minaj’s ears on sweaters that’s total ‘Around the Way Girl’ swag is perfect for any street wear attire for sure! Her ‘Fendi Prints On’ collection had everyone intrigue to get their hands on them because there was so much to love! Luckily some of our favorite celebs like Marlo Hampton, No IG Jeremy, Tammy Rivera, Tanya Sam, Kandi and Riley Burruss, Eva Marcille, Toya Wright and Reginae Carter, and many more were in attendance to see the dope collection live and in color. Let’s get into more of the festivities below!

Totally bomb, right? Let us know which piece from the collection you just have to get your hands on. Comment below!

Millinery Mania: Hats Are Back!

The couture statement hat is not for the fashion faint of heart. In fashion’s current landscape, Great Britain’s royal family resonates with millennials more than ever. However, a statement hat isn’t necessarily reserved for aristocracy or high rollers at the Kentucky derby, it can be the “cherry on top” for the everyday woman’s ensemble as well.

There are a myriad of styles to choose from such as the beekeeper, which is a veiled sculptural hat used to serve high fashion or the rancher hat, which could be used to add some Americana glam to an autumnal ensemble. Rapper, Meghan Thee Stallion, has been seen donning the rancher hat on several occasions and it will make a great add on piece during the coming Hot Girl Fall, as she playfully calls it.

The common thread used to pull together a look with a voluminous head piece is to try to keep the lines of the silhouette narrow and clean to avoid appearing to costume-like. Do try to pair your chapeau with garments that are made of lustrous fabrics like silk taffeta, which evokes romance and femininity. This trend has been coming down the couture runways in a more wearable way than previously shown, for example the S/S 2018 Valentino haute couture show, in which the models sported there hats over beautiful shot operatic shapes.

This past NYFW saw a select few celebrities partaking in this trend. Orange is the New Black’s Dascha Polanco’s looks were spot on. Dascha was seen at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons Party then again, in a trench coat inspired off-the shoulder number and grandiose ostrich feathered hat that turned many heads.

As fall and winter kicks into full swing, don’t be afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve or in this case, your head. Have a look at more of our favorite celebrities whom we recently spotted slaying in a statement hat.

Claire’s Life: Celebrating Dark & Lovely’s New Look and Feel with Revamped Relaxers, Hair Colors and More!

Happy Thursday!

Last night, I stepped out in the name of @FashionBombHair to see what new developments Dark & Lovely had on tap!

The legacy brand, which celebrated 47 years in the business, refreshed their logo and revamped a few of their bestselling products to have a modern and fresh feel.

Bombers, Bombshells, influencers, and legends convened at the Mercantile Gallery to celebrate beauty, hair and style. Take a look:

Songstress Elle Varner embraced fall tones in a black look topped off with a burgundy hat.

Bombshell @SryMae showed off a popping red haircut, refreshed with Dark & Lovely’s Fade Resist hair color.

I was loving @CinderAri‘s purple mane. The color came courtesy of Dark & Lovely of course!

When all else fails, black hair always makes a strong and chic statement! Yes to these curly tresses!

It was a fun time!

I touched base with Dark & Lovely resident hair expert Derick Monroe, who recommended I try the color Crimson Moon for the New Year!

I also said hey to members of the Dark & Lovely team including Erica Culpepper, Dark & Lovely ambassador Kela Walker, legendary fashion writer Constance White, and more.

Be sure to follow Dark and Lovely on Instagram @DarkandLovely, follow the hashtag #WeAreDarkandLovely and see what we have on tap @FashionBombHair.
