Earlier this week, Canadian rapper/actor Maestro Fresh Wes was spotted on the red carpet at the Juno Awards (Canada’s equivalent to the Grammys).
While I like the pin-stripe suit and the fact that the blazer button rule was adhered to, something about the fit of his suit and the shoes make me go hmm…Â I think he could have been more dapper with minor adjustments.
Hey!
So if you’re a veteran Fashion Bomb reader, you may remember a video I shot one Fashion Week where I interviewed a young designer named LaQuan Smith:
Well, Mr. Smith is still producing his line LaQueue, which includes sequined tube dresses, vinyl jump suits, ruffled tops, and metallic separates made for the girl who wants to stand out:
Perfect for the party circuit, his frocks and tops are favored by friends like Aubrey O’Day:
And Jaslene Gonzales…
Hot!
On top of being endlessly sexy, his dresses are supremely affordable, ranging in price from $120-$200!
The best dressed political couple in the first world, Michelle and Barack Obama, met with Gordon and Sarah Brown in London today:
They’re on this side of the pond for the G20 summit, and Michelle wore her signature pearls along with a J.Crew Constellation Cardigan and Dazzling Dots Pencil Skirt:
Her better half went for a classic look, donning a navy suit and striped tie.
I heart them.

The flashing lights worthy frock is quite a bank breaker at $498. But it’s easy, breezy maxi style is perfect for warmer temps. Purchase by going here:
Newly blond Christina Milian decided to do a little shopping at Fred Segal recently:

I’ll admit: the blond is growing on me! And her sandals and shades are definitely hot! But something about the tight shorts and cardigan make me go hmm…
What do you think?
Gotta get those sandals? Try these splurge worthy look a likes:
So we at The Fashion Bomb have noticed a new certified celebrity trend…
…Lace!
The seductive, sometimes sheer fabric has gone from the boudoir to clubs and red carpets, spicing up dresses or stunting on its own in tops and skirts. Depending on how you rock it, you can either look flawlessly elegant or tremendously trashy.
Let’s take a look:
Nia Long and Fashion Bomb friend Chrisette Michelle look demure and lady like in knee length lace dresses in peach and black…
Ashanti goes for super saucy in a halter floor length lace adorned dress….
And Eva and Queen Latifah opt for unquestionable elegance in red carpet gowns.
It’s hard to go wrong with lace, but take note:
Anything too sheer or too short is a definite don’t!

This summer is all about my Sperry Top-Sider Bahama deck shoes. They ooze versatility and have a classic appeal. My David Yurman Thoroughbred Bracelet rarely leaves my arm, as it goes from day to night easily and pops with anything from sneakers to dress shoes. I got it for my 21st birthday, and it’s become a staple piece for me. A classic black jacket, like this Guess Duran Blazer, instantly upgrades a pair of jeans. And my Blackout Sunglasses add the necessary dash of cool.
I absolutely love Levis 520 Blue Steel Jeans! I’m a slim guy, so they strike the perfect balance between not-so-skinny and not-so-baggy. Bonus: they’re very easy to dress up or down. Thierry Mugler A Men cologne is a must have for any guy.  It’s light lavender scent with musk, tar, and vanilla undertones makes it perfect for the entire year. The cracked pattern and the colors of my Nike Dunk High Earthquakes add the right amount of quirkiness to any casual outfit. And I love to chill in my Lacoste Crew Neck Cable-Knit Sweater (worn with wayfarers!) and my fresh eyewear swag (love my Holly Readers).
