Keyshia Ka’oir and Gucci Mane Coordinate in Orange Leather Looks

The couple that slays together, stays together: something Keyshia Ka’oir and Gucci Mane know quite well. Individually Keyshia and Gucci’s style is heavy on lavish labels and high on saturation. They aren’t strangers to showing out in a monochromatic look whether it be date night or simply sitting courtside.

Their latest couple look is an orange on orange spectacle reminiscent of their 2nd Annual Black Ball look. Stepping out in their usual fly flair, the couple coordinated in various orange leathers.

While Gucci wore a full Rick Owens look accessorized with brown Tom Ford ‘Drew’ shades, his beautiful bae wore a Stand Studio leather trench coat over the Nanushka ‘Inara’ dress. Her feet were covered by the coveted Gianvito Rossi BIJOUX sandals, and she finished the look with a Hermes Birkin 25.

Keyshia and Gucci Mane have worn many notable looks, but we’re willing to argue that this is at the top for the fashionably bomb couple. Gucci’s carrot orange ensemble pairs perfectly with the marigold his boo is wearing and the leather makes it sleek. We’re hoping to see more looks like this from both Keyshia Ka’oir and Gucci Mane and we know they’ll deliver.

The 5 key standout trends from Autumn/Winter 2022 fashion shows

Designers were finally able to get back on the physical runway schedule for autumn/winter 2022 after taking a few seasons off due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With more international editors and influencers flying around the globe to sit front row at the major shows, the major fashion week events were able to go more smoothly as restrictions eased.

Though we did see some digital presentations, many designers returned to presenting their designs in more traditional ways, like through imagery, film, or other unique methods. The focus was largely on the traditional catwalk presentation by the end of the fashion week.

A few off-schedule presentations from Celine, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs have also been particularly exciting to see since the shows wrapped up in New York, London, Milan, and Paris.

Celine

Celine’s autumn/winter 2022 collection, ‘Dans Paris’, was presented by Hedi Slimane in two historical monuments in Paris, the Hôtel de la Marine and the Hôtel National des Invalides.

The collection was filmed by Slimane, off the usual Paris Fashion Week schedule, and starred Kaia Gerber.

The trend takeaway from the collection is cool classics.

Balmain

Olivier Rousteing conceived of the idea for his latest balmain collection months ago, inspired by body armour, tactical gear, and other protective wear. The collection is personal to Rousteing, and the pieces are meant to illustrate a theme that is close to his heart.

Rousteing’s designs reflect an understanding of the limitations of fashion shows as a platform in the current moment. While Rousteing’s acknowledgement may seem small in comparison to other acts of bravery, it is still an important step forward.

This three-act show began with a dance between two tribes before moving into the main portion of the show. The final act featured a group of seven models wearing dresses that combined elements from this collection with some of the signatures first seen in the runway debut by Pierre Balmain in October 1945.

Before Christian Dior, Balmain was one of the most innovative and forward-thinking designers in Paris and his work was instrumental in the city’s post-war reconstruction.

The trend takeaway from the collection is fantastic leather shoes and boots.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren decided to show his autumn/winter 2022 collection in an elegant evening at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in March, instead of the traditional fashion week schedule.

“When I decided months ago to share my new collection in this intimate experience, I could not have anticipated the war in Ukraine,” said the designer in a message to show guests.

“It’s been a tough year, but we’re moving forward united in our hope for peace and an end to the pandemic. I’m so proud to be sharing not only a collection but an optimism for living that respects the dignity of all.”

That optimism was reflected in a completely timeless collection of monochromatic pieces – punctuated with occasional bursts of red – in the sleek lines and tailored silhouettes that the label does so well.

Trend takeaway: Enduring elegance.

Marc Jacobs

For his autumn/winter 2022 New York Fashion Week collection, Marc Jacobs returned to the New York Public Library to present his latest designs.

The designer recruited supermodel sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid to walk in the show, where they strutted their stuff in enormous platforms, elbow-length gloves, layered knitwear and duvet dresses. The collection was inspired by a quote from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: “We have art in order not to die of the truth.”

Trend takeaway: Exaggerated volume, mega-platforms and vinyl.

Louis Vuitton

Time has played an important role in Nicolas Ghesquière’s work since he became the creative director at Louis Vuitton. He often combines references from different time periods, which has led to some interesting and unique fashion moments – like when he put Louis XVI-style frock coats with running shorts and sneakers in a part of the Louvre that was once a medieval moat.

This show was less about a specific period of time and more about a stage in life: adolescence. In prepared notes, Ghesquière called the collection “an excursion into a perceptible…The impermanence and beautiful volatility of adolescence.”

Trend takeaway: Youthfull style

5 Bomb Fall Accessories: Fringed Boots, Crystal Footwear, Potato Chip Bags + Where to Get the Look

We’re sharing Autumn’s most popular and daring accessory choices as seen in street style and at fashion shows, plus where you can get the look for less and make it your own!

Crystal Footwear

An instant elevation for your style no matter the occasion, crystal footwear can be worn on boots, kicks, stilettos and more. This trend transports us back to that early 2000s bling era, but is best done today as a glitter statement as opposed to an accent.

Potato Chip Bags

This particular bag has been the subject of much conversation ever since Balenciaga and Lays unveiled to collaboration during Paris Fashion Week. Needless to say, it may not be for everyone but some of us are here for the outrageous, ridiculous, camp style statements and if that sounds like you, then the potato chip bag might be worth your while!

Chunky Combat Boots

What better season to introduce your combat boots back into your everyday wardrobe than Fall? As the temperatures get cooler, the footwear switch only makes sense and will likely carry you through Winter as well. The updated combat boot has a chunky sole, often platform, and exaggerated details, like the loud Fendi logo in gold on the ones above, or cargo style detachable pockets and pouches on Prada’s combat boots.

Surrealist Heels

Another fashion statement that may or may not be your cup of tea, though we can all agree it is certainly a conversation starter! Loewe has been designing and releasing surrealist heels that bend reality. Take this balloon heel, for example, that is made to look like a balloon is wedged between your foot and the shoe’s front sandal strap. The brand’s rose heel is another great example of this fall trend that might speak more to your style.

Fringed Boots

Fall and fringe just go hand in hand, don’t they? But fringe doesn’t always have to be predictable variations of brown, black, suede or leather. When wearing fringe, try to pump up the color, or opt for a crystal fringe instead! This is going to up date the classic look for something more out of the ordinary.

Claire’s Life: Attending Paris Fashion Week Wearing Wear Niki Black Beret and Mini Skirt + Reflections on Moving to Paris in 2008 and My Full Circle Moment

Happy Sunday!

Visit TheBombLife.com for my reflections on this past Paris Fashion Week:

I was only in town for a few days (I had to accept my Triumph award, hello!), but had a great time attending shows like Elie Saab, Stella McCartney, and Christian Wijnants wearing looks by WearNiki.com, Kaasa Clothing, I Style by Sonia, and more.

Get some of my looks here, here, and here.

Some of you OG readers may remember when I first moved to Paris in 2008 (read the post here). I was frustrated at my full time job, and poured my passion for fashion into this here blog on the side. I decided to move to Paris because I had an underused French degree and always had a love for the city. I also felt that I would be able to ‘start from the bottom’ at a fashion magazine in a foreign country–what better choice than the City of lights, love, and style!

I remember sitting in Place de la Concorde (above) with no plan in mind, just a feeling that I needed to move there and make it happen. I struggled and strived until I got my internship at Paris Vogue, followed by a job at Italian Vogue, which all led me to strike out on my own with Fashion Bomb Daily.

Being able to return to Paris, on my own terms, and experience Fashion Week as the owner of my own company continues to be a full circle moment.

I am continuously and endlessly grateful for every moment because we all know it was not easy to get here. I feel blessed to continue to do what I love for a living and take you guys along for the ride:)

And as I said in my post from 2008, “You live but once, you might as well be amusing…”–Coco Chanel

Tips for Developing a Healthier Relationship

Relationships go through hell and find their way back to some normalcy after immense struggles. Most couples with a few years of dating felt like running away at some point. This is true across the board, be it in same-sex or heterosexual unions. The idea of a perfect relationship is based on relativity. It all boils down to age, gender, preferences, situations, and circumstances as well as surroundings. However, when relationships need to maintain that spark, there are guaranteed ways of ensuring that happens.

Maintain the Spark

Remember what brought you together in the first place and keep that spark glowing. Many couples forget the intimate times from days past; when flirting was a daily thing. Maintaining this is not always easy even as you find brides from Ukraine in hopes of a future. Keeping appearances and ensuring that your partner is happy can be tough. However, it is worthwhile in the end. Keep things spiced up using the methods below and watch sparks fly like you always wished they would.

1. Family

Keep friends close and family even closer when in a relationship. The quickest way to end a relationship is to keep family at bay. Worse yet is speaking ill of family members. If your partner’s brother has an addiction or social problems, for example, try to be helpful. Condemning the behaviors of family and friends close to your partner is ill-advised. It will almost inevitably lead to breaking up.

2. Compliments

Keep in mind these should also involve jobs well done. It refers to complimenting her/his new look, perhaps new clothes or grooming styles. Additionally, always pay attention to their career or personal growth. Everyone wants their growth in different areas to be noticed, especially when the attention is from a partner. Keep this in mind when she shows up with a new weave or talks about a recent promotion or job opportunity.

3. Listening

Be the caring listening partner she or he wishes they always had. It involves actively paying attention to what one says, especially concerning likes and dislikes. Active listening after you find brides from Ukraine will help secure more dates moving forward, and longer-lasting relationships. Part of this listening process involves connecting the dots. She might be implying you don’t pay attention to certain things and would like it to stop. Simply nodding or shaking your head doesn’t cut it. And she will know at some point that you never pay attention.

4. Traditions

Some might call them rituals but we can stick with traditions. These are homemade traditions and cultures. They involve creating space for quality time together and a schedule of must-do activities. When couples decide to be random that works too, but some traditions keep things alive. These are not always linked to eating out, buying gifts, or visiting family. Some rituals involve discussing relationship matters. It is all about knowing what is keeping people unhappy and what makes them happy. Rituals are important in keeping a balance between social life, personal life, and family and friends.

In a nutshell, keeping things positive works wonders but working on the self is great too. If you are not of a healthy mind, you cannot help your partner in any way. Also, keeping in mind health, be mindful of your partner’s mental and physical health moving forward.

Bottom Line

Keeping things positive in any relationship can be challenging, but that is where the fun begins. If you love someone and hope to be with them forever, it is important to practice the aforementioned. To flirt with and find brides from Ukraine is easy and only the beginning. It is more important to learn how to sustain these relationships to remain happier and healthier.
