Cute looks, Alicia! I’d encourage you to push past your safety zone a bit in your choices. I see you like ruffles, one shoulder silhouettes and high hems, so maybe mix in knee length pencil skirts, wide legged jeans, or a jewel embellished blouse to add a little variety. Great looks, nonetheless.

So February is Black History Month, and we at the Fashion Bomb always try to do something special!
Over the years we’ve profiled trends, designers, featured trivia, and games.

For February 2011, we’re focusing on models.

Every day during February, we’ll give you little historical tidbits surrounding models from the past. Alva Chinn, Billie Blair, Bethann Hardison, Mounia, Sterling St. Jacques…we’ll feature them all and many, many more.

Hey Guys!
So last night I headed downtown to Charles street to celebrate Alicia Keys’ birthday along with Swizz Beatz, Gayle King, and more:

The party had an Egyptian theme (inspired by their son, Egypt), and many people were wearing turbans, belly dancing, and drinking African themed drinks.

I was mid belly dance when I saw Beyonce and Jay-Z walk in. Yes, I know!! My friend forbade me from acting like a ‘groupie’ and taking a picture with them, though I did shake their hands towards the end (and snuck a picture of them enjoying Alicia’s red velvet cupcakes.)

Beyonce looked fresh and gorgeous, and Jay-Z was super nice. I told him how much I loved Decoded, and he was appreciative. It was a fun night!

(I am not afraid to shop in the hood…they have the best clothes)…if people could step outside of the box sometimes…(drive to the hood and shop…lol)…they could wear some of the things they see me in.”
