Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Ju’lia from Florida

Hey!
So our Bombshell for today is Ju’lia from Florida:

The student at the University of Florida says, “I would describe my style as effortlessly chic.”

“… I like simple clothing and statement pieces and injecting my personality into my clothing.”

“It’s simple, hopefully people would describe it as cute and certainly different!!”

Ju’lia blogs as well. Check her out at www.jcatherinethoughts.blogspot.com.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Shannon from D.C.

Hey Guys!

Today’s Bombshell is Shannon from D.C.:

The Howard University Senior says, “I’m a sucker for fashion, trying to take over the world one sequin at a time!”

“…My style embodies femininity and class with a demanding presence. I believe there is a certain confidence women can achieve from their dress.”

“…With 4 inch heels on, I stand somewhere around 6 feet, but I accept and embrace my height: why not stand out looking great!

“…I love wearing lipsticks– reds, hot pinks, nudes, and even oranges can put an outfit over the top!”

“…Some of my favorite pieces are thrift items; I even find a lot of cool vintage items on eBay! I LOVE my military boots, they’re becoming the new Uggs– you must have a pair!”

Cute style! And girl, you know I love a red lip too!
What do you guys thinks of Shannon’s style?

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Alicia from Brooklyn

Hey Guys!
Today’s Bombshell is the fabulous Alicia from Brooklyn, New York:

She says, “I’d have to say my style is unique but also tasteful.”

“…I like to take classy looks and add some edge to them.”

” I love all clothes from cheap to expensive.”

“… I’d rather have one nice thing in my closet than 20 pieces that are just mediocre.”

“…I live by the motto ‘Life is short, buy the shoes, and the bag to go with them.'”

“I have a Youtube channel, www.youtube.com/niceroundbrown.”

Cute looks, Alicia! I’d encourage you to push past your safety zone a bit in your choices. I see you like ruffles, one shoulder silhouettes and high hems, so maybe mix in knee length pencil skirts, wide legged jeans, or a jewel embellished blouse to add a little variety. Great looks, nonetheless.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Danny from New Jersey

Hey Guys!

We’re bringing it back to the states with the fabulous Danny from New Jersey:

The 20-year-old sophomore from Marymount college says, ““Fashion is a huge part of my life, it has been since I can remember.”

“…I’m not so sure that I have a ‘personal style’. Whatever looks good to me, I get. Whatever I feel good in, I buy. I don’t want to be confined to a certain type of clothing or label or designer.”

“…There’s too many amazingly, different style options out there to say ‘Oh, I’m gonna wear that and that only!’ People become too close-minded and lazy when it comes to their wardrobe and that’s why they end up wearing sweats everyday instead of a cute pair of Levis.”

“…That will never be me.”

Cute! You have great style, Danny, and an even greater outlook!
Danny was cool with comments, so let her know what you think below.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Sherie from Toronto

This Friday, our Bombshell Sherie hails from Toronto (T Dot!)

She says, “I am of St. Lucian decent, born in Canada, but grew up in St. Lucia. An ISLAND GIRL! Recent graduate of the University of Toronto.”

“My style describes my personality. Feminine, edgy, outspoken, empowering. I love prints especially animal prints. I shop any and everywhere, love mixing high and low end pieces; but some of my favourite stores are Zara and American Apparel.”

“I have long legs so for me it’s all about short skirts and sky high heels.

“…My favourite accessory has to be lipstick. I think a red lip is so empowering, it just screams ‘look at me’. So bold!”

“‘A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.’- Coco Chanel – I live by this quote.”

I do too!
Love your looks, bold lips, and confidence.

Claire’s Life: Alicia Keys’ Birthday Party

Hey Guys!
So last night I headed downtown to Charles street to celebrate Alicia Keys’ birthday along with Swizz Beatz, Gayle King, and more:

The party had an Egyptian theme (inspired by their son, Egypt), and many people were wearing turbans, belly dancing, and drinking African themed drinks.

I was mid belly dance when I saw Beyonce and Jay-Z walk in. Yes, I know!! My friend forbade me from acting like a ‘groupie’ and taking a picture with them, though I did shake their hands towards the end (and snuck a picture of them enjoying Alicia’s red velvet cupcakes.)

Beyonce looked fresh and gorgeous, and Jay-Z was super nice. I told him how much I loved Decoded, and he was appreciative. It was a fun night!

More instances from Claire’s Life to come.
Smootches!
* Fun fact. Alicia’s mom took the first picture. She was so cute!

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Chan from Brooklyn

Hey Guys!
Today’s Bombshell is Chan, better known as Brooklyn Lady:

The frequent commenter decided to send in a few pictures for our favorite feature, and also said it was cool for you guys to comment.

She says, “I am of Jamaican and Trinidadian descent (LARGE UP ALL MY WEST INDIANS, LOL).”

“… My style is just wearing what I find to be comfortable and most of all what I can afford.”

“… I mix high and low end pieces. I shop every and anywhere but mostly I look for bargains. I enjoy wearing things that complement my figure but I also love LOOSE fitting clothes.”

“.. Style is what YOU make it but most of all what YOU love/like. Our differences are what make us all unique.”

Fashionable, Caribbean, and from Brooklyn?!? A girl after my own heart.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: MarQueta from LA

Today’s Bombshell is the lovely MarQueta from LA:

She says, “I would describe my style as artistic edgy with a dash of class.”

“… I love art and I think the way that we dress, wear our hair, and our shoes is just another form of art. I like to be different and stand out.”

“…I went to fashion school, so fashion is what I do.”

“…I LOVE accessories! I like to count my hair as an accessory too. (hehe), AND my nails. My nails are always VERY artsy and different at all times. I like bright colors and sparkly things.”

“People ask me all the time “OMG WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!” and I honestly can never remember because I am such a random shopper. I shop at a lot of the boutiques in certain neighborhoods in L.A. where a lot of the people who love my clothes would not go. (I am not afraid to shop in the hood…they have the best clothes)…if people could step outside of the box sometimes…(drive to the hood and shop…lol)…they could wear some of the things they see me in.”

MarQueta is also a t-shirt designer www.japproved.com and blogger www.creativelyapproved.blogspot.com. She didn’t want comments, so you’ll have to vote on her style.
