We’re bringing it back to the states with the fabulous Danny from New Jersey:
The 20-year-old sophomore from Marymount college says, ““Fashion is a huge part of my life, it has been since I can remember.”
“…I’m not so sure that I have a ‘personal style’. Whatever looks good to me, I get. Whatever I feel good in, I buy. I don’t want to be confined to a certain type of clothing or label or designer.”
“…There’s too many amazingly, different style options out there to say ‘Oh, I’m gonna wear that and that only!’ People become too close-minded and lazy when it comes to their wardrobe and that’s why they end up wearing sweats everyday instead of a cute pair of Levis.”
“…That will never be me.”
Cute! You have great style, Danny, and an even greater outlook!
Danny was cool with comments, so let her know what you think below.

This Friday, our Bombshell Sherie hails from Toronto (T Dot!)
She says, “I am of St. Lucian decent, born in Canada, but grew up in St. Lucia. An ISLAND GIRL! Recent graduate of the University of Toronto.”
“My style describes my personality. Feminine, edgy, outspoken, empowering. I love prints especially animal prints. I shop any and everywhere, love mixing high and low end pieces; but some of my favourite stores are Zara and American Apparel.”
“I have long legs so for me it’s all about short skirts and sky high heels.“
“…My favourite accessory has to be lipstick. I think a red lip is so empowering, it just screams ‘look at me’. So bold!”
“‘A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.’- Coco Chanel – I live by this quote.”
I do too!
Love your looks, bold lips, and confidence.

Hey Guys!
So last night I headed downtown to Charles street to celebrate Alicia Keys’ birthday along with Swizz Beatz, Gayle King, and more:
The party had an Egyptian theme (inspired by their son, Egypt), and many people were wearing turbans, belly dancing, and drinking African themed drinks.
I was mid belly dance when I saw Beyonce and Jay-Z walk in. Yes, I know!! My friend forbade me from acting like a ‘groupie’ and taking a picture with them, though I did shake their hands towards the end (and snuck a picture of them enjoying Alicia’s red velvet cupcakes.)
Beyonce looked fresh and gorgeous, and Jay-Z was super nice. I told him how much I loved Decoded, and he was appreciative. It was a fun night!
More instances from Claire’s Life to come.
Smootches!
* Fun fact. Alicia’s mom took the first picture. She was so cute!
Hey Guys!
Today’s Bombshell is Chan, better known as Brooklyn Lady:
The frequent commenter decided to send in a few pictures for our favorite feature, and also said it was cool for you guys to comment.
She says, “I am of Jamaican and Trinidadian descent (LARGE UP ALL MY WEST INDIANS, LOL).”
“… My style is just wearing what I find to be comfortable and most of all what I can afford.”
“… I mix high and low end pieces. I shop every and anywhere but mostly I look for bargains. I enjoy wearing things that complement my figure but I also love LOOSE fitting clothes.”
“.. Style is what YOU make it but most of all what YOU love/like. Our differences are what make us all unique.”
Fashionable, Caribbean, and from Brooklyn?!? A girl after my own heart.
What do you think of Brooklyn Lady?

She says, “I would describe my style as artistic edgy with a dash of class.”
“… I love art and I think the way that we dress, wear our hair, and our shoes is just another form of art. I like to be different and stand out.”
“…I went to fashion school, so fashion is what I do.”
“…I LOVE accessories! I like to count my hair as an accessory too. (hehe), AND my nails. My nails are always VERY artsy and different at all times. I like bright colors and sparkly things.”
“People ask me all the time “OMG WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!” and I honestly can never remember because I am such a random shopper. I shop at a lot of the boutiques in certain neighborhoods in L.A. where a lot of the people who love my clothes would not go. (I am not afraid to shop in the hood…they have the best clothes)…if people could step outside of the box sometimes…(drive to the hood and shop…lol)…they could wear some of the things they see me in.”

Hey Guys!
So our first My Favorite Things interview of 2011 is with the beautiful Keshia Knight Pulliam!
You may remember Keshia as Rudy from The Cosby Show, but she’s all grown up, and is currently co-starring in the new season of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne airing Wednesdays at 9PM on TBS ((her character and Lance Gross’ character have a baby this season).
An industry veteran, Keshia has been fly since she received her first Louis Vuitton bag at age 6 (she said, “It is the smallest, cutest classic little kid sized bag…I’ve kept it all these years and it started my love and appreciation for handbags.“) Now in her thirties, she says she’s, “stopped caring what others think and embraced my individuality.” Ok! So of course we had to contact the chic connoisseur to ask about her style along with her fashion and beauty must haves.
About her style, Keshia says, “I like classic pieces & I like to accessorize with more trendy unexpected items. I absolutely LOVE shoes & handbags!! They are definitely my biggest splurge. I have a whole closet the size of a small bedroom dedicated to shoes & handbags. The most important thing that I do is tailor just about everything. I am petite so most everything has to be altered. You can make a cute H&M find look like it came from Neiman Marcus with the right tailoring.”
She continues, “I wear a lot of J brand jeans & pants. Christian Louboutin is my favorite shoe designer. I like Dolce & Gabbana dresses because they are always cut so well.”
And they’re oh so flattering! What about her biggest splurge? She says, “I would say that my biggest ticket item is the actual closet!! When I remodeled I wanted to build my dream closet with a dressing room and salon. I made sure there was a place for EVERYTHING!! It ended up being a two level girly masterpiece. I’m in love!! I feel like I’m shopping when I get dressed.”
But of course we need to know what’s in that closet of hers! She says her top favorite things are, “My new green anaconda Gucci handbag because it is so delicious and I waited several months for it; my cropped black leather jacket because it goes with everything; black American Apparel leggings because they are extra comfortable; Nike workout clothes because they are comfortable and inspire me to work out; scarves in every color (they jazz up even the most casual outfit and keep you warm); my chunky two toned mixed metal necklace because it dresses up a tee shirt and goes with everything; my “Keshia” extra big gold door knocker, bamboo earnings because they represent the ghetto Jersey girl in me; J Brand jeans because they fit so perfectly; my sparkly gold Christian Louboutin’s because I love things that sparkle; and my Chanel handbag because I feel like such a lady when I carry it.”
And what about Beauty Buys? She says, “I am big on healthy skin, so when I am not working, I rarely wear make-up. My biggest must haves are my La Mer eye concentrate, Lancome Hypnose mascara in excessive black, and my Clinique air kiss lip gloss. I drink lots of water because I believe that great skin starts from the inside. Currently, my favorite perfume is Very Hollywood by Michael Kors.”
Great picks, no?
The Jersey native, who says her idea of heaven is, “Chocolate, a big juicy steak with a Crown Royale & coke, and being surrounded by friends and family,” has a few exciting new developments on the horizon. She’s nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Tyler Perry’s House of Payne for the 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards.
Let’s keep an eye peeled for her when the awards show airs in February.
What do you think of Keshia’s favorite things?
“… My style is very simple, flirty, feminine, and classy.”
” I am an Islander, so I love casual and effortless looks…”
“Hope you like it!”
Tashy was cool with comments, so they’re on!
So let us know, what do you think of Tashy’s style?

So as I mentioned, I had the distinct honor of meeting and chatting with the finalists of Bravo TV’s the Fashion Show today at the Bravo offices in New York!
I was running fashionably late, but Calvin, Jeffrey, and Dominique were all smiles and very welcoming!
A few things I learned: Calvin has no regrets about the way he acted during the show. He said, “I don’t regret anything. I was being myself what could I regret? I worked very hard and I think it showed very accurately what I went through as a designer and as a person.” Regarding designing clothes for larger sizes, they all said that they cater to all shapes and sizes, but that one particular episode featuring the Real Housewives was difficult because of the larger than life personalities in the room. Dominique is starting her own line this year. And Jeffrey hopes to show at New York Fashion Week one day!
They also divulged that there will be tons of surprises for tomorrow’s finale (featuring Mary J Blige)!
Make sure to tune in to Bravo tomorrow at 10pm to see who wins!
*And just for fun, a lil piece of artwork I saw in the hallways of the Bravo offices:
Hey Guys!
So it seems a lot of you guys still wanted comments after we voted…so I decided to ask each Bombshell if they wanted to allow or disable comments on their individual posts. Today’s Bombshell, Kendra from New York, was cool with comments, so they’re on:
The fearless fashionista runs a personal style blog called Closet Confections:
She says, “My style is ultra-feminine, sometimes quirky, always classy…”
“…Apologies if this is picture overload… I get carried away sometimes, lol!”
