” I hope that you will consider me as a bombshell!”
Very solid! I love your use of color. You’ve got that color wheel down pat!

I’m heading back to New York soon, so I figured I’d feature New York bombshell Kelly:
She writes, “I am a School Administrator by day and a curator of NYC life, style, and beauty by night on MASQUEmag.com.”
” My fashion style is a very clear and concise outward expression of my emotion.”
“I can transition from ruffly and romantic to eclectic and edgy in one shot.”
” I try to stay away from trends, I wear whatever I am comfortable in.”
” My weaknesses? I thrive on thrift shopping and find vitality in vintage!”
” Nothing is more amazing than the feeling of coveting a piece no one else owns.”
Your style is classic and simple, with a dash of zany chic. My favorite outfit is your first (love those readers!).

Julia Sarr-Jamois is making waves for Spring 2012. First, she starred in Tibi’s campaign for the season and now she is one of the faces of Barneys New York’s “Tree Time” campaign. Shot by famed photographer Mario Sorrenti and styled by Melanie Ward, Julia wears a slew of high-fashion looks from The Row, Marni, Giambattista Valli and Balenciaga.
She also dishes on her style in a video for the campaign.
Other stars of the campaign include blogger Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, model/rock singer Sybil Buck, graphic designer/fashion art director Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea and model/musician Sarah Ruba, among others.
Happy Almost End of Fashion Month!
If you were following my tweets yesterday, you’d know I was on the front lines, giving you the blow-by-blow for Kanye’s Fall 2012 Fashion Show. Afterwards, I dipped into the after party, which was chock full of celebs.
I said hey to Big Sean, who performed “Marvin Gay & Chardonnay,” “Dance (A$$)”, and other hits. He was rocking a luxurious fur hood that I couldn’t help but pet. I sidled up to Jourdan Dunn, who walked in the show. I asked her about how painful the shoes were, and she said, “They were actually ok! They fixed them!”Common was in the house, beaming in the red lights. As was cutie Kim Kardashian, who was rocking all DW by Kanye West Spring 2012. And on my way out, I ran into designer Alexander Wang. Yes, I had my IPad with me…had to give y’all first look at the show! There were tons of other fashionable people in the building, including Cassie, Diddy, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Azealia Banks, and Waka Flocka Flame, who performed (to my delight!).
It was a fun end to fashion week! I have about 3 shows left on my plate, and am then taping a segment for a Swiss TV show called State of Style. Should be interesting…I’ll let y’all know when the videos are on Youtube, so you can see.

We’re taking a detour from the DMV today with Jayla from North Carolina:
The high school senior says, “I LOVE fashion! “
“I get so much inspiration from your blog. When I first started seeing the fashion bombshell of the day, I immediately thought to myself, I totally want to be a bombshell of the day! Like who wouldn’t?”
“My Fashion Style is very UNIQUE. I don’t think I have just one style.“
” I can go from the sexy girl in heels to the sneaker chick to the girl with a little bit of vintage swag.“
” I have a serious problem with things having to match, so most days I like to challenge myself by throwing in things that take my outfit off key”
“I am a die hard heels fan. When wearing heels, thats when I feel the most confident.”
“Overall I have a very sopisticated style.”
“In my spare time I make YouTube videos about hair and fashion. Here’s my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/GlamAholic check me out sometime and if you like my videos, subscribe :)”
Hey Jayla! You’re cute as a button. Overall, I think you dress very appropriately for your age. Only two outfits gave me pause: the distressed jeans with the fishnet stockings. And the crop top and shorts with garter tights seems a little racy, but hey, Rihanna wears garter tights, so what do I know?

Hey Guys!
So I’ve been having quite a blast in Paris, taking street style and reviewing the runway. It’s been pretty cold and gray, so have been injected my pieces with little pops of color. On day 3, I slipped on an orange tweed Chanel inspired number I copped at Topshop:
I added even more Chanel inspiration with a chain link belt from Zara:
And put a Parisian twist on my ensemble with my favorite beret:
It have to do a bit of walking, so wear low heels, like these beauts by Kurt Geiger:
It’s been a bit chilly, so I kept warm with a neutral poncho by Surface to Air:
And there you have it!
What do you think of my French ensemble?
Tonight, I’m super excited to be attending Kanye West’s DW show! Stay tuned to the Fashion Bomb Twitter for the blow-by-blow.

“I would describe my personal style as plain Jane with an attitude. I enjoy keeping things simple, but never too common. Things that already have personality and add to mine are the best things money can buy!”
“I find myself at lots of thrift stores, consignment shops and vintage stores.”
” Contemporary pieces are delightful too; I like mixing old with new.”
“Basically, I have fun with my clothing, and I don’t take myself too seriously. Downtown cool, always!”
Your style is cool, indeed! Didn’t we take your picture during New York Fashion Week? Give up the scoop on those pants!

Hey there! Love your makeup (is that MAC Lady Danger lipstick?) and you have some great accessories. Some of your looks would be better if edited, but overall you work it!

Hey!
So I’m attempting to fly to Paris today, to catch the tail end of Paris Fashion Week. While at BET’s Rip the Runway taping yesterday, I realized I hadn’t yet featured stylista and fellow blogger Gabi Fresh from Detroit as Bombshell of the Day:
Though she’s already a very famous blogger, I figure I’d showcase a bit of her looks, for those who may not know of her. Besides, she’s the bomb!
When I asked her to describe her style, she said, “I always hate when people ask me that, because I never know how to answer!”
“If I had to describe my style, I would call it street chic.”
“To showcase that plus size girls can wear the same trends as anyone else.”
Werq it, Gabi! I’ll consider myself thoroughly inspired. And I love how you paired the electric blue pants with that mustard leather. Fierce!
What do you think of Ms. Gabi Fresh?

Hey!
So a few weeks ago I got a call, asking me to participate in BET’s annual Rip the Runway fashion show. Normally I’d be in Paris for Fashion Week, but decided to delay my travels a bit to seize the fantastic opportunity:
This year the network asked bloggers to take part, so tapped myself along with Gabi of GabiFresh.com and Rae and Gabe of StuffFlyPeopleLike.com to help hosts Selita Ebanks and Pooch Hall introduce the show’s different segments:
Me, Designer LaQuan Smith, Gabi Fresh, Gabriel, and Rae backstage
Chock full of fantastic urban designs, Rip the Runway is part fashion showcase, part concert, part party–and all fun. This year, brands like Brian Lichtenberg, Sammy B Designs, La Vie, and Monif C took center stage, alongside acts like Robin Thicke, Estelle, Wale, Diggy Simmons, and Lil Kim.
It was a long and full day of taping, but it was an amazing experience. I’m so grateful to BET for having me, and can’t wait to see how I did;)
For the occasion, I decided to go bright and bold, ditching my natural hair color in favor of spring ready blond (if you’ve been reading for a while, you could say I went back to my roots):
What do you think?
At any rate, it was an exciting night.
If you want to catch it, Rip the Runway will air Wednesday, March 21st at 10pm. Set your DVR’s!
Stay up on all the latest with Rip the Runway at www.bet.com/rip-the-runway.
Stay tuned for more red carpet pix in today’s Week in Chic.
