Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Ellie from San Diego

We’re keeping it Cali-fab with today’s Bombshell, Ellie from San Diego:

She writes, “My style is effortless, fun, young and chic.”

I feel that the best outfits are the ones you just throw on and go.

“… Anyone can buy fashion, but you can’t buy style.”

” That’s what makes a person’s style so unique, it’s about personality.”

” My style is the one thing in my life I have full control over; I can’t control my past or my future but I can control my wardrobe.”

” Check out my blog: www.fashionwithellie.blogspot.com.”

Cute shoe and purse game, lady! I love your style, and how you paired a snazzy dress with sneaks. Thumbs up!

Claire’s Life: Stuart Weitzman’s Spring 2012 Collection Party with The Man Repeller and Solange Knowles

Yesterday I was invited by the lovely folks over at Stuart Weitzman to a spring shopping event hosted by blogger Man Repeller and dj’ed by Solange Knowles. I’m a fan of Stuart Weitzman shoes (my Snakeskin Platswoon pumps are a fave) and always love a chance to hang with fellow bloggers and Fashion Bomb friends, so headed uptown with Jihan to take a look at the brand’s latest offerings:

A quickly found a few lustworthy shoe styles, including these metallic tipped ‘Capsize’ heels (worn by both the Man Repeller aka Leandra Medine and Solo herself in pink and green respectively)…

Solange Knowles, Stuart Weitzman, Man Repeller

…along with a plethora of brightly colored wedges, glittery peep toes, and flat sandals.

Cute, right?

After ogling the shoes, I of course said wassup to Solange…

And also met Man Repeller for the first time.

She remembered me from a few tweets during Fashion Week (we were both running late to the Michael Kors show–I think we both missed it, too). Ah, Fashion Week memories.
At any rate, it was a chill night, so I slipped on my ‘editor’s’ uniform of a blazer and pencil skirt:

Y’all know I love me some Helmut Lang, so splurged on the brand’s ‘Era’ blazer (Cassie wore it here; I also included it in this Style Inspiration. Yes, I end up buying stuff I blog about all the time).

I balanced it all out with a pencil skirt from Club Monaco, along with my favorite Gianvito Rossi for Altuzarra wedges.

I kept the black/white theme going with a Barbie/Chanel t-shirt I scored at Kiliwatch in Paris, then added pop with Ruby Woo lipstick. I actually meant to grab my black bag, but was in a rush, so threw everything in my ‘summer’ tote: a Stella McCartney Falabella with silver hardware.

The tote is brown, but to me it looks a little gray. Yeah, it doesn’t really ‘match’, but I figured I could rock with it.

And there you have it.

If you’re intrigued by any of the Weitzman shoes above, check ’em out at www.stuartweitzman.com. Those capsize pumps are officially on my wish list….

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Cheryl from California

Today’s Bombshell is California cutie Cheryl:

She says, “For me, it’s all about wearing clothes instead of allowing them to wear you.”

” I find that I can’t pin down my style to one specific look or trend because I wear whatever makes me feel happy.”

” My main motto when it comes to fashion: If it looks good on me, then I can make it work.”

” And if it doesn’t look good on me, then it’s not my style.”

I blog over at Oh to Be a Muse (www.ohtobeamuse.com).”

“… I hope that my style inspires…”

“…and that I get inspired by the style of others.”

Oh, to be a muse, indeed! I love most of your looks, especially that hi-lo skirt. It’s been a great week for Bombshells, no?
What say you?

I agree, a bad shoe can set it off like no other. Love your accessories game.

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Jasmine from Maryland

Forgive the slow posts today, I’m still recovering from last night’s watch party!
But of course no day on the Fashion Bomb would be complete without our daily Bombshell. Check out Jasmine from Maryland:

She writes, “My style is classic,”

“Vintage..”

” With a dash of trendy!”

“..I never, ever forget the nail polish!”

“See more of my looks at www.webhautejas.com.”

Hey Jasmine! You have some great pieces, particularly that multicolored blazer. I think some things would come across better if styled differently–for example wearing your long pants with a heel. But from what I can see you’re off to a great start!

Claire’s Life: BET’s 2012 Rip the Runway Watch Party at Highland Park

Happy Thursday!
So last night, Gabriel and Rae of StuffFlypeoplelike.com, Gabi Fresh, and I got together to watch our spots on BET’s Rip the Runway:

Friends and family filled Highland Park to munch on chicken wings, sip on spirits, and wait to catch our moments on TV.

Since it was a sports bar, I decided to go for a sporty/spring vibe. I pulled out my Rag & Bone neon yellow jeans and my fave Diesel jean jacket (I always rock it with two YSL buttons I bought at the YSL exhibit in Paris–which I loved):

I kept the sporty vibe going with a pair of Alexander Wang Chloe sandals in blue (you may remember Rihanna wore them in red):

(I took a shoe picture with Marc Clark, who was rocking a pair of Jeremy Scott x Adidas sneakers). Inspired by this post, I painted my nails in a few coats of Essie’s Mint Candy Apple:

And finished everything off with an Alexis Bittar bracelet and CC Skye Crystal Angel Wing Necklace.

Then it was time to watch the show!

I was too busy screaming and hiding my face to actually watch myself–but from what I hear, I did ok! It was definitely fun to do–and I’d love to try my hand at TV again. After watching the show, we enjoyed the night, toasting to TV and trying new things:

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Mattie from Atlanta

Today’s Bombshell is Georgia Peach, Mattie:

The blogger from Mattieologie.com says, “I’m a self described ‘Carrie with Charlotte tendencies’ from Atlanta.”

” I’m all about living what I love through my personal style. I’m also a firm believer in oversized sunnies, red lipstick & 5 inch heels!”

“…While I’m not the type of girl to completely stray away from trends, I do believe there’s a difference between being trendy and being on trend.”

” I love looking girly without being cheesy and sexy without looking sleazy.”

I’m a former Miss Liberia USA who loves incorporating African into her wardrobe from time to time.”

“… After all, it’s not about the clothes you have to hold your breath in, but instead about the clothes that take your breath away.”

Carrie with Charlotte tendencies? I love that! And your description of your style is spot on. You’re cute as a button and I love how you incorporate African influences.

Hot! or Hmm… Dania Ramirez in Edition by Georges Chakra at the “American Reunion” Afterparty at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles

Dania Ramirez was spotted at the afterparty for her new film “American Reunion”. For her big night, she wore a cobalt strapless cut-out dress with a thigh-high slit from Edition by Georges Chakra:

She accessorized with long fringe earrings and kept her hair and makeup minimal, to really let her dress play centerstage.

The bold dress was part of Georges Chakra’s Fall 2011 collection:

Va-va voom! Dania is working this dress! Ok, there is a chance of a little spillage, but other than that she looks amazing.

What do you think? Hot! or Hmm…?
