Fashion Bombshell of the Day: Tiffany from California

Today’s Bombshell is Tiffany from Compton, California:

She says, “As a self proclaimed “thick-choklatedip” I sometimes feel plus size women feel they need to ‘cover up’ and hide the beautiful curves they have been blessed with…well I don’t lol ;-)”

” I like to describe my style as confident, low-key and sexy.”

” I pick pieces that show the shape I am proud to have, and cant help but to embrace all animal prints (its the inner sex kitten inside me lol) and bright colors that make me feel vibrant and full of energy.

“… I feel like just because your plus sized you don’t have to wear clothes as if you were 50 years old in your 20’s and 30’s, I see that much too often and refuse to be a victim.”

” I am a single mother…so I splurge rarely. I keep my closet full of affordable pieces and thrifty finds.”

“… I do most shopping at stores like Forever 21, ASOS, thrift stores, downtown LA and LA based boutiques. So without further ado, here is a little of my style. Enjoy!!!”

Today’s Bombshell is Khali from South Carolina:

She says, ” My style changes with the seasons, my moods, and my hair!”

“I love bright colors, clean lines, and rich fabrics.”

“…My inspiration comes from my mother, who has honed me since birth to be as fabulous as her, so about 75% of my wardrobe either comes from her closet or is the “more affordable” (aka cheaper lol) version of her clothes.”

“Being born and raised in Columbia, I have often had to rely on my monthly subscriptions to fashion magazines, tv, and of course Thefashionbombdaily.com for contemporary inspiration.”

“It also doesn’t hurt that I went to THE college capital of fashion, FAMU, where women wear fierce 5-inch heels on a daily basis.”

“Overall, I’d say that I pretty much wear whatever makes me happy.”

“I don’t have one specific style but I am very diverse and enjoy the art of constantly changing my looks.”

“… I believe style is very individual and people should be comfortable wearing what they like without caring what others feel or say.”

” I also believe in Quality over Quantity.”

” I love vintage clothes and stuff off the high street and markets too.”

“Since I’m in Europe, I have ample sources of daily inspiration….”

Great looks, Sandra! Feminine, quirky, you’ve got it all. And just a question: how’d you find the Fashion Bomb??

Claire’s Life: Coachella 2011

Hey Bombers and Bombshells!
So Coachella ended yesterday with performances by Nas, Damian Marley, and Kanye West.
Earlier in the day, I ran into Solange Knowles, who was super fun!

We hung out a bit in VIP and chilled in between performances.

I also ran into Chanel Iman, who paused for a twitpic:
Cute!

The night ended with a moving performance by Kanye West. Mr. West knows how to put on a show, so pulled out all the stops: fireworks, dancers, smoke, and even an elaborate wardrobe change.

He dedicated his performance to his mother, and aptly sang, “Hey Momma,” as his final song. I’ll admit I teared up:

It was a great ending to a fabulous trip!
Thanks so much to H&M for helping make Coachella 2011 possible, and also to Mitsubishi for shuttling me to and fro in their electric I-Miev cars.
Guys, come to Coachella next year! It’s fun and different…it’s basically the bomb!
I’ll definitely be making a return trip in 2012…
Smootches!
*My friend Andre recorded the first song in Kanye’s set. Check it out here:
