New York nights can bring on so many unexpected events. One minute you’re walking along, minding your business, the next you’re at a star filled party, sliding by Jonathan Cheban and chatting with a former Destiny’s Child. It’s all in a day’s work for the Fashion Bomb…!

Last night I ventured into the city from my Brooklyn hovel to attend a fitting for the Blogher conference fashion show (Oh yeah, I didn’t tell you? I’m walking in a fashion show on Saturday. If you’re in NYC and want to come, stay tuned to Twitter for details). At any rate, my friend hit me up, asking if I wanted to be his plus one to a Kelly Rowland/TW Steel watch event at the Boom Boom Room. Of course I said, “Sure!“

Adrienne Bailon and Rocsi Diaz were in the house, with Adrienne in an Isabel Marant dress, Jimmy Choo sandals, and a Gucci clutch. Rocsi flaunted a pair of enviable Christian Louboutin Unbout Pumps in Neon, along with Rag & Bone Grand Prix Paneled Midrise Skinny Jeans and an Aiko Metallic Open Back Sweater.

Tika Sumpter and Jessica White posed with the evening’s host, with Tika in Mara Hoffman Aztec Printed High Waist Pants and Jimmy Choo Letitia Sandals and Jessica in a vintage sequined number.

And the woman of the hour glowed in an Alexander McQueen Raspberry Draped Ruffle V-Neck Dress and Alexander McQueen snakeskin sandals.

I was wearing a Topshop peplum top along with a pair of leopard Zara pants, a Cashhimi bag and Isabel Marant sandals. I wouldn’t have called myself ‘party ready,’ though it was acceptable! Essence.com took my picture, stay tuned for the full view. Hope it’s good.
