We’re featuring 2nd time Bombers and Bombshells until the New Year. It’s Friday, so our male submission comes from Toronto native Tyshan, who was first featured in March of 2011:
He writes, “I am not the guy I was 2 years ago.”
“.. a lot has changed [in terms of] my style, everything about me.”
“I am a male model from Toronto, Canada with a great sense of style.”
” I say fashion is my life because it really is…”
“… since I was born I have never loved anything else like fashion.”
” My style is effortless, simple but with bold detail, I love mixing classic pieces with urban things.”
” I really don’t have a filter when it come to the way I dress, I got an eye for great things that I feel look amazing.”
” To me, I feel fashion should be expressed with out barriers and boundaries, and I try to live like that everyday: with Freedom.”
Amen, brother! Just took a look at your first submission. Your style has evolved quite a bit! I like it.

Hey!
So I’m en route to Australia, after a bit of a hiccup yesterday! Let’s face it: it’s the holiday season. So the staff will be updating only occasionally this week. Since we’ve already started voting on our Bombshell of the Year, we’re going to be featuring repeat Bombshells until 2014! Check out a few updated pix from Charmaine from Toronto:
The Atlanta resident didn’t have much to say in terms of an updated style description:
She simply typed, “[This is] how I make poor eyesight work for my wardrobe LOL.” ” [I have a] retro inspired style…” “… with an emphasis on keeping things classy.”
See more snaps here:
Cute pix! You’re gorgeous, so can pull most things off.

While you guys are generally lukewarm about Fashion Bombers, you go in and let have for our Fashion Bombshells! Whether nice or nasty, you have no issue voicing your opinions.
For Best of 2013, we’re highlighting those Bombshells who made it on your nice lists with flying colors. It was actually really hard to whittle down the list, though we did decide upon 10 finalists.
In no particular order…
From polka dotted playsuits to printed sheaths, Cynthia’s submission was more than on point!
The long time reader and blogger for Addicted2Etsy.com took a few years to send in some flix, but we’re glad she did! She secured a 91% ‘Bombshell’ rating out of 990 votes, and Reeezy wrote in, “Yaassss to the clothes, hair, shoes & confidence! Bombshell!“
Madame Mbu is the owner of Hombakazi Vintage Cabin, a South African pop up store, and was nominated by admirer Zona.
We loved her cropped haircut–and flavorful outfits caused unmatched excitement! Wildflower Elo gushed, “BRAVO!!!! Now that is what gets my fashion juices flowing. Yes!!!!”
We first caught wind of Tsholo’s eclectic style in our How Do You Wear It? Feature, and were happy to have her send in pictures for a full blown Bombshell feature.
She received the most written in nominations and made Andie say, “In a league of her own. I LOVE [her] style!”
Prints and patterns carried punch with Stella from Maryland’s nuanced selection of pictures.
The blogger from Jadore-Fashion.com offered unbridled variety, including a few (fly) maternity pix to boot! Like2Smize appreciated the diversity, writing, “The hands down BEST BOMBSHELL in a very long time. She is great…I sense a deeper understanding of color, pattern, body-type appropriateness and proportion than we usually see here. Those things are key to being a true BOMBSHELL. And a bomb lip color doesn’t hurt either. WERK Mother Nigeria!”
Alicia first appeared on our computer screams back in January–clearly her looks were worth remembering!
The Advertising Exec’s outfits skewed corporate with a cute twist, and you guys went gaga, offering her a 80% ‘Bombshell’ vote out of 1,535 ballots! Soul Touch typed, “Bombshell. Great look, great style, great body, great legs.” Agreed!
Take a look at her post from January 2013 here and be sure to stop by her blog HintofGlamour.com.
Tiffany tantalized viewers with her spot on trends and creative combinations, making her a certified favorite and fixture in our How Do You Wear It? Section.
From body hugging skirts to mixed prints combos, the blogger for The-Werk-Place.com brought it each time. 92% of 1,657 people declared, “Finally! Now This is a Bombshell!”, and Loni declared, “I am so in love! This is fashion. She is everything. Thank you Tiffany!!!”
It seems all our South African Bombshells are submitted by admirers, as was the case with the beautiful Bonang.
Turns out Ms. Bonang is actually quite the celebrity in South Africa, and is known as an entrepreneur, DJ, and a TV Host. It figures–she certainly has ‘it.’
Biana was our very first Romanian Bombshell, and stood out thanks to her blue steel stare and sassy shoe game.
You guys were really feeling her! T1K wrote, “Very clean! Love it! Weerk Bianca!!” and Simiyalala added, “Kabomb! Elegant with dashes of color. Well put together. Well done, mi gyal.”
But was she the best Bombshell of 2013?
Take a look back here.
Paris from Memphis seduced all of us with her sultry stare and simple yet chic looks.
The University of Memphis student, AKA, and Makeup Artist was super popular, with 1,651 voting on her post, the majority declaring her a Bombshell. Sha excitedly typed, “Very pretty girl!! Her fashion sense is very on point!! Love her looks! Kudos pretty girl!!!”
Take a look at her sleek outfits here and on Instagram @parischanel.
Kia Denise was one of my personal favorites. How can you go wrong with killer heels, tailored separates, and a mix of casual, edgy, and chic?
The owner from FromMyStyle2Urs locked down 84% of 1,309 votes leaving Style4Curves in convulsions as she wrote, “YES GAWDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!” LOL.
See her submission here, and catch more of her flix @KiaDenise.
And that does it! It was really tough to filter it down to those 10, but we think they’re deserving, no?
At any rate, who was the Best Bombshell of 2013?
Smootches!
*Sidenote: Yasss for geographic diversity. I love it and all the beauty you guys brings from all corners of the globe.
While a good bit of you visit us for our spot on celebrity and fashion coverage, I think we all can agree that our Fashion Bomber and Bombshell of the Day features are some of our most popular posts!
Stylish readers from all over the world sent in their pictures to showcase their singular aesthetics.
Let’s take a look at the best male submissions of 2013:
1. Jason from New York
Jason made his premiere over the Thanksgiving weekend, so quite a few of you may have missed his tailored looks.
Still, his influence was evident. He secured a 94% ‘Bomber’ vote, and left reader AD saying, “*Drops Funkmaster Flex bombs* I am here for this!”
See his original post here, and see more up to date snaps on his Instagram @Jasn_andrw.
Dualleh from the Hague was on our Best of 2012 Bomber roster, but lost by a hair to Davidson from New York. He decided to resubmit with a flurry of even more dapper ensembles with singular European flair.
He is a perennial favorite! He received 94% and 93% ‘Bomber’ votes for his 1st and 2nd submissions, respectively; reader ILikeToSmize summarized our thoughts exactly: “AMAZING. Hands down, one of the best, most authentic entries. His high taste level is palpable.”
We couldn’t agree more.
But can he bring the prize home this go round? See his first submission here, and his second here.
Howard University student Raymond from the DMV set our stylish hearts aflutter with his mixture of bespoke and collegiate looks.
The blogger for Dapper Diamond District wrote, “My style is inspired by my West African roots, music, art, and style icons of previous generations.” With a 95% ‘Bomber’ vote, he definitely aced your chic test! Irony wrote, “Just give him Bomber of the year already. Done.”
Does he merit the title?
See his original post here and check out his latest looks on Instagram @thedapper_dd.
While most of our Bombers excel in suits, Darion offered a laid back Cali vibe with his logo’d pieces, destroyed jeans, and eye catching footwear.
Though comments were mixed, quite a few of you could appreciate his sartorial artistry. Livvyv said it best, “I think he looks great. He doesn’t have to dress like a guy you would date to be consider a stylish male. I think his style shows versatility and fun.”
Akil from New York got his grown man on with his November submission.
The Academic Advisor for Educational Opportunity at Buffalo State College said his interest in dressing well stemmed from an internship program, where he was the only black man in most of his courses. He said, “I quickly realized that the way you dress says a lot about you.”
You guys had a lot to say about him, effusing, “Yes, Yes, and Yes! #Bomber. Great style, and great attitude and education to back it up….Love it!” and, “Wow. He just murdered it! Simplicity, proper fitting, educated..hello?! Set the bar high.”
Did he murder this competition? Check him out here and leave your thoughts below.
6. Patrick from Oakland
Patrick also brought a Cali vibe, with a strong selection of casually chic ensembles.
He wrote, “I like to keep my looks realistic, trendy, and comfortable.”
WestAfricanMutt wrote, “I usually am not a fan of bombers but he did that!”
The personal shopper, who described his style as sophisticated and fun, only secured 80% of your ‘Bomber’ vote with his initial feature. How will he stand up against the other candidates?
Tomorrow our Fashion Bombshell/Bomber of the Year gauntlet goes DOWN. So Kelly from New York will be our last Bombshell of 2013! Next week we’re taking off, and we’ll be doing 2nd timers for the last week of the year.
Until then, let’s take a gander at today’s selection:
The blogger for IslandChic77.com writes, “I’m originally from Jamaica West Indies.”
” I usually choose an outfit depending on my mood.”
“My style is definitely a feminine/edgy combination more than anything.”
“I love bright vibrant colors…”
“…and this season I’ve been obsessed with turbans…”
“… and crop tops…”
“Can’t get enough:)”
” See more of me here @islandchic77 where I share outfit deets and let you in on my lil fam:) xo”
Boom! End the year with a bang, why don’t you? Love absolutely everything, but your all white outfit? Hot!
Catch more of her looks on her blog IslandChic77.com and on Instagram @islandchic77.

Hi Guys!
So in the beginning of 2013, I set out to visit Japan, Australia, and Brazil. 12 months passed and I didn’t manage to visit…any of those, but thought I’d make it count for the end of the year with a 10 day trip to Sydney, Australia!
A few friends of mine will also be there, so it should be fun!
I’m looking to shoot a few Style Diaries, so if you know of any photographers who might be around during that time and down to have their work featured on this here site, leave a comment and let me know!
And if you’ve been, I want to hear all your recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and more.
I’ll be updating occasionally on The Fashion Bomb’s Instagram @Fashionbombdaily, and more frequently on my personal Instagram @ClaireSulmers.
Also, stay tuned to TheBombLife.com for shots.
Smootches!
Love it! You’ve got a great selection of smart and sassy looks.

Happy Holidays!
My social calendar runneth over with oodles of events. Tonight I’m headed to a Moet Nectar Rosé Lounge hosted by Future; last week, I attended a holiday dinner sponsored by Pikolinos shoes.
The dinner was to raise awareness about Pikolinos’s line of Maasai designed beaded sandals, whose proceeds go towards helping the Kenyan community. We gathered to ogle the cute wares and learn more about the initiative.
Check out a few fun party pix:
Janelle Grimmond, Essence.com‘s Celia Smith, Essence’s Bettina Prophete, Tai Beachamp
Zandile Blay and Janelle Grimmond
Tai Beauchamp, Pikolinos Global Brand Ambassador Bisila Bokoko, Huffington Post Black Voices Editor Julee Wilson, Essence.com Fashion Editor Celia Smith, Janelle Grimmond, Essence Magazine’s Bettina Prophete
Me with Real Simple Magazine Editor Kelley Carter
Black Enterprise’s Janell Hazelwood and Maternity Lifestyle Expert Latham Thomas with Tai Beauchamp and Bisila Bokoko

Tai Beachamp with Glamour Magazine editor Rajni Jacques
The Pikolinos x Maasai sandals are really cute!! Check out a few styles below:
They ring in at about $200 a pop, and all sales go towards a charitable cause. See more here.
At any rate, it was a fun night, and a fabulous way to kick off the holiday season.
I’d love to hear what your party plans entail–and what you’re wearing!!
If you’re stumped, check out our What to Wear Holiday section for suggestions.

Hey!
So the year is winding on down, and the countdown begins to our Bombshell of the Year competition! We made our suggestions, but not very many people lent their voices to suggest who they’d like to see in the running. If you haven’t yet, submit your nominations for Best of 2013 here.
Until then, Bombshell posts continue as scheduled with Taneese from Baltimore:
She says, “I get so much daily Fashion inspo from following your IG page.”
” Each day I try to reinvent myself…”
“… through my Own personal style.”
” Whatever mood I wake up in determines how I want to look.”
” I’d be honored to be featured on your blog.”
” Here’s a few of my most recent looks.”
” Hope you enjoy…”
“…have a blessed productive day.”
Same to you! Well, strike a pose, why don’t you? Love this submission. Your confidence is on 10, and your outfits are really cute!

First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated the holidays with President Barack Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia wearing a J. Mendel Resort 2013 Embroidered Cap Sleeve Jacket and White Chiffon Skirt.
Fabulous hair and practical Manolo Blahnik pumps completed her look.
Her embroidered topper was modeled with slim fit white trousers.
This look is definitely winning! Elegance and grace personified. And the First Family looks quite dashing, no?
