Coco Rocha closed the show in a black and fuchsia gown that didn’t spare any of the collection’s spotlighted details. Black fur lines the top of the confectionary skirt, and the sleeves are covered in sequin, while the crisp white collar speaks to the tailoring. Simkhai’s usual taste for tailoring is done in a new direction. Experimenting with oversize belts atop bold shoulder trench coats and blazer mini dresses provided an overall NYC chic. Hardware embellishes leather looks as a cowl neck red leather dress is one of the collection’s standouts.

The collection also deconstructs style. Nearly every model wore heavy boots regardless if they wore evening gowns or moto leather looks, breaking down the linear style idea, as we’ve seen before at houses like Balenciaga and Gucci. Simkhai’s finale, however, offers a touch of glam. The new ‘S’ logo, designed in a bedazzled monogram, decorates outerwear and eveningwear.
A silver banquet decorated the Williamsburg Savings Bank. Chromatic tablecloths lay across silver tables that held silver food on mirror-effect trays. The whimsical runway scene was what you’d expect from Rodarte, but it was nothing compared to the gothic ethereality that walked among it.
For Fall 2023, Kate and Laura Mullevy commissioned their artist mother to draw them some fairies. These playful illustrations were used across the collection atop flowy cold-shoulder caftans and ruffle trim dresses.

But this isn’t a collection for just any kind of fairy. This lineup speaks to the dark and gothy. Each model strutted the runway in dark eye makeup and black lipstick. Black gowns in jersey and velvet opened the show, each with bell sleeves so dramatic they swept the runway with each stride.

Black V-shaped lace insets, mutton, sleeves, and double-breasted wool coats, touch on a Victorian feel, while beaded slip dresses and full tulle robes speak to an Old Hollywood glam.

Siriano references the collection as a sexier take on ‘Aubrey Hepburn’s rose garden.’ There were pink, purple, and white roses lining the runway and filling the air with their lovely scent as the show notes featured the iconic actress’ image.
On the runway, models like Ya Jagne, Jocelyn Corona, and Coco Rocha dawned designs that also spoke to the garden theme. As oversize floral decals continue to trend upward, Siriano grabs hold of the latest fashion and delicately sprinkles it throughout his collection. The blooming decal adorns dress hems, tailored sleeves, gloves, and midriff cut-outs. Black and white take hold of this collection, outfitted in several red carpet-worthy offerings, but golden yellows and magenta tones create the right pop for a fall/winter collection.

The accurately titled boots look like something lifted off from the cartoon Astroboy and feature a rubber TPU shell with an EVA sole, with a stamped MSCHF logo. These over-inflated stompers immediately went viral with mixed reviews, but one person, however, whose Team Big Red Boot is OKC Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

The NBA tunnel has become a platform for style, and Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the most uniquely dressed stars in the league. While walking the tunnel before playing against the Lakers, he wore the Big Red Boots with the Loewe nappa leather zip-up hoodie and the Louis Vuitton washed wavy denim.
