Happy Tuesday!
It’s been a crazy past few days to say the very least!
I spent the weekend in Trinidad & Tobago for Tobago Fashion Weekend (recap coming very soon), and as soon as I got off the plane, I jetted over to chat 2014 Billboard Awards fashion with Keshia Chanté and Wouri Vice on 106 & Park!

I kept my look colorful, trendy, yet somewhat conservative for my second go round! I’ve gotten a lot of mileage out of my Givenchy American Dream Tee, and decided to throw it on again with a Givenchy Confetti print skirt, Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, and a Helmut Lang blazer thrown over my shoulders.

I remember years ago, just wishing to get on 106 one time–and I was on twice! Here’s hoping it could become a regular thing;)

Happy Monday!
So as I type, I’m sitting here with a sore back:/ I got a little ambitious in the gym, and my lower lumbar was like…eff you.
At any rate, before I was rendered basically motionless, I went out last Friday for Alex Martin’s 40th Birthday Party!

Who is Alex? She’s Whoopi Goldberg’s daughter. And she’s just as fabulous as her mom! Fittingly, lots of fun peeps came out to fete her big birthday.
Take a look:

Most people at the party unwittingly wore black and white, and Jennifer Williams and Tahiry Jose fell right in line! Jennifer shined in a mini dress from BCBG and Tahiry tried the peek-a-boo trend on for size in a little black dress from Versailles Brooklyn.

Yes, Tahiry!

Ms. Jose also posed with Po Johnson, who looked hot in an all white ‘fit, topped off by black and white ankle cuff pumps.

The Fashion Queens were in the house, with Derek J in sizzling sequins, and Bevy in a form fitting LBD.

I’m always so happy to see these two! Ty Hunter offered his own interpretation on the night’s theme in gray and white horizontal stripes, while my blogger boo Jay Strut sizzled in Versace studs.

The birthday girl worked white and black in a Nordstrom tank, Kill City Vest, and Black Milk Clothing liquid leggings.

And though I wasn’t able to grab a picture with the birthday girl, I was able to find Whoopi! As to be expected, she was super pleasant and funny in person. I started following her on Instagram @WhoopiGoldberg and she’s a bit of a shoe girl–perhaps we can do a Closet Confessions video?
At any rate, it was a fun night!



As for my ensemble, I normally go for skirts, but decided to slip on a wide legged Thakoon jumpsuit and a striped Robert Rodriguez blazer.

I picked up on the black and white tones with Gianvito Rossi black and white pumps.

I promise I’m going to start updating TheBombLife.com more!
