It’s Friday! Which means we’re rolling out another Fashion Bomber. Check out Matt from Seattle, Washington:
He writes, “When it comes to fashion, I like to keep it very simple because I feel like my personality is big enough to avoid having to wear anything extravagant.”
” Now that it is fall, I am really into heavy coats and layers because of the chilling cold and wind here in Seattle. “
“P.S. My girlfriend Chanel Robinson from Seattle, WA was also a 2 time FashionBombShell.”
Cool! More here:
Adorable! I bet you and Chanel turn quite a few heads!

” I tend to wear a lot of grey, black and white.”
” When I do wear color, I like it to be the statement piece and keep everything else as simple as possible.”
” I also like to contrast styles, for example I will wear a feminine outfit and pair some grunge boots with it. It gives it more dimension and personality.”
” I dress really different than most of my friends and I get told “What are you wearing?”, but it doesn’t bother me.”
” At the end of the day it’s my personal style and how I express myself. “
You’re beautiful! Work it out, mamma.

Happy Hump Day!
Yesterday I was invited to a breakfast at Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule office to peruse his latest collaboration with Sprayground:
Yes, the famous film director is delving into fashion with backpacks that represent his undying love for Brooklyn, New York, and his most iconic movies:
Myself and a select group of journalists ogled his $60 Pixel Mars Blackmon backpack, which features a pixelated image of Mars Blackmon from She’s Gotta Have It, infused with orange and blue tones as a nod to the New York Knicks.
His 2nd option, the Spike Lee Patches 2-in-1 bag, has a camo print and patches of the African flag, Brooklyn, 40 Acres and a Mule, and more. The $90 piece can be carried as a briefcase, and has a velour laptop case, a tablet sleeve, and a velour sunglass compartment inside.
Lee, who described his style as comfortable, said, “I am out and about all the time, and my backpack is really a part of everything that I do. I have so many papers, my notebook. So when I went to an event where Sprayground had made a bag with my man Iman Shumpert of the Knicks, I met the guys there. And we began to talk and make it possible to collaborate. This is final product.”
Of course we did more than talk about style! We delved into current events and politics. For the fashionable who want to make a political statement, he recommended participating in protests and also wearing your allegiance on your chest. I couldn’t agree more!
At any rate, if you’re intrigued, reserve your bag here. 40 Acres and a Mule is also hosting a pop up shop this Friday from 5-8pm at 75 South Elliott Place in Fort Greene.
Yassss! I see a successful styling career in your future. You have it!

Tis the season for Holiday Parties!
This past weekend, I was invited to one hosted by Love and Hip Hop mastermind Mona Scott Young, and took to the carpet to ask the show’s stars what was on their Wish Lists for the Season.
The video is coming soon, but in the meantime, check out who was in attendance!
Yandy is pregnant! The gorgeous Love and Hip Hop New York cast member posed on the carpet with beau Mendeecees ‘s son in a sequin embellished white Marquette 21 dress.
Joseline Hernandez put all pregnancy rumors to rest in a sheer red number that showed off her skivvies.
Amina Buddafly worked a strapless jumpsuit and peep toe orange pumps. When I asked her about Mr. Gunz, she replied, “You’ll have to wait and see what happens.”
Rasheeda slipped on a figure hugging bodycon dress.
And the lady of the night, Mona Scott Young, showed off her stems in an Issa dress and Christian Louboutin pumps.
It was a great event!
Apparently the next season of Love and Hip Hop New York is going to be explosive!
Will you be tuning in?
*Interviewing on the carpet was lots of fun to do!
True story, in the midst of chatting with Yandy Smith…
Joseline and Stevie J walked up…
And I was promptly told to exit the carpet so they could take pix.
It was hilarious. Stay tuned for the video later this week.
She writes, “I would describe my style as sophisticated and simplistic with a slight edge.“
” Most of the time my look is pretty classic yet subtly bold and daring with pops of color, embellishments or accessories to liven up the look.”
” Occasionally I like to explore mixing prints and bold colors/prints but my favorite combination is simply black and white.”
More here:
I see you posing up in the classroom, stairs, etc. Work it, teacher!
This submission made me smile. Bombshell!

It’s Friday, so that means we have a Fashion Bomber!
Take a look at Kre’von from Houston:
He said, “I would describe my style as versatile.”
” As I don’t have one particular look, or specific style.”
” I may dress up in anything from a whole suit, to a laid back street-wear look.”
” Too many people get caught up in trying to keep up with one image.”
” As long as your appearance is trendy and stylish, you’re good to go.”
” My whole outlook from a fashion aspect is, If someone can describe your style, you have not separated your self from the norm.”

Sharp! I love everything, especially those gold sneakers.

“So about my style.”
” My style is very versatile.”
” I wear what I want pretty much but I love modern pieces that are vintage inspired so i will say my style is definitely vintage inspired. I especially love the 60’s and 70’s.”
