On the Scene: Tiny and TI Match in Pink Monochromatic looks, Cardi in Marni, Nicki Minaj in Alexandre Vauthier and More

Celebs were spotted over the weekend dripped in designer apparel and we couldn’t get enough the game changing looks we saw. From Tiny and TI rocking monochromatic cotton candy ensembles to Cardi B and Kelly Rowland in bold shades of orange , hip hop was in full force and relentlessly stylish.

In celebration of the premier of SWV & Xscape “The Queens of R&B,” Tiny wore a soft pink rhinestone embellished dress by British label, House of CB. Matching his wife of over a decade, TI wore a pink-on-pink leather jogger set with a blush turtleneck that was layered with gold chains. Based on their grins, you can see that even after the years, the love is still alive, and the spark is still there.

Speaking of chemistry, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj undoubtedly have an unbreakable platonic relationship and it felt great to see the Young Money duo together at the Rolling Loud Festival. “Lil Tunechi,” who credits himself for the discovering the Trinidadian rapper, rocked a rosé-colored fur jacket with black sequence sweatpants and luxury pink sneakers. Contrary to Lil Wayne, Nicki served us a blue and white Alexandre Vauthier tie-dye bodycon dress with the matching Alexandre Vauthier knee-high stiletto boots and Alexander McQueen shades.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper, Cardi B also wore a body-con dress with an abstract twist. She sported a short orange-tone dress with optical Motif by designer Marni and completed her look with open toe metallic red heels. Her post was captioned “Lit nights with SZA and Wavey” and her son Wave Cephus looked adorable in his denim-on-denim ensemble with an orange and turquoise blue graffiti baby hat.

Matching the mother and son color palette and styled by Cardi B’s stylist Kollin Carter was singer Kelly Rowland. Kelly who always looks fabulous, arrived at the Kids Choice Awards in an autumn orange leather Lili Blanc blazer with distressed Cout De La Liberte flare jeans and a white cutout bralette that showed off her amazing abs. She glistened and shined in gold Alexis Bittar Jewels and looked so fierce with her bob cut that it leaves us anticipating the Roc Nation artist next video shoot.

We can appreciate all the looks that we saw celebrities making waves in over the weekend. Among the various looks, it was great to see women rappers embracing their femininity through accentuating their curves and the men of hip-hop unapologetically taking risks in pink hues .

Jitrois Fall 2023 Polishes the 1980s London Punk with Parisian Sophistication

You can always count on Jean-Claude Jitrois to deliver his iconic stretch leather in a variety of looks. For FW23, Jitrois sought inspiration from London’s legendary punk scene in the 1980s. From New York City to London, punk is a popular point of fashion inspiration. Vivienne Westwood based many collections on the unabashed era of self-expression and politics, while Marc Jacobs’ famously grungy Spring 1993 collection for Perry Ellis is celebrated still.

Punk, much like the Jitrois brand ethos, is power. Yet, what’s often executed with distressed knits, thick-sole boots, and flannels, Jean-Claude Jitrois offers through a sleek Parisian lens.

Photo: Jitrois

What is the Jitrois punk? It’s the same power-forward feeling but dressed in sleek tailoring and daring shapes. Black, a color most associated with the punk aesthetic, is the backbone of this lineup, with electrifying pops of color sprinkled throughout.

Vibrant hues, such as citrine yellow, neon orange, avocado, and turquoise, provide great contrast to the dark monochromatic looks. Stretch leather is the foundation of Jibrois, and for Fall/Winter 2023, the luscious fabric’s woven into fringe detail, moto jacket dresses, suede trousers and sets, and eveningwear.

Elsewhere in the collection, streetwear makes an appearance. Casual suede sets outfitted with joggers and utilitarian jackets round out this collection before introducing a slew of night out looks designed in metallic leather.

The leather, whether patent, matte or brushed suede, comes in both women’s and menswear with exquisite tailoring on both sides. Suiting is sharp with bold shoulders adorning leather jacket-inspired dresses and cinched waistcoats.

Though inspired by the raging punk scene, Jitbrois FW23 has something for a variety of wardrobes.

4 signs your PH might be off balance

The pH level ascertains the acidity and basicity of a specific item. While considering this, you might be astonished that your vaginal pH balance is crucial to your vaginal health. Due to pH imbalance, you might notice an off-putting odor or itching in your vagina. This could be a proper indication of bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection.

A healthy vagina is an amalgamation of friendly and non-friendly bacteria, which creates the vaginal microbiome. It’s responsible for maintaining the acidic pH of your vagina. This is how it can quickly combat infections and mitigates irritation. But whenever the equilibrium gets disrupted, a pH imbalance may occur. These are the top 4 signs that your vaginal pH might be disproportionate!

  1. Fishy or offensive smell

Every vagina has distinctive smells, which is entirely normal. But when the smell changes to something different, that say, completely unpleasant, it’s high time to visit your gynecologist and talk about your vaginal pH balance being disrupted.

If you smell something fishy or rotten down below, this is a clear indication of pH imbalance. Probiotics have been proven to be the best solution for maintaining the natural pH of your vagina. So, consider having a natural probiotic for PH

  1. Pain or burning sensation during intercourse or urination

Soring or burning feeling during urination and sex could be the biggest results of distinct things. These can be generated by a pH imbalance state, for example, vaginitis, yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis.

  1. Unfamiliar or off-colored discharge

The color of healthy vaginal discharge is clear or white. It depends entirely on where you’re in your cycle. The color of vaginal discharge might have a red or pink hue tinge in case you had your implantation bleeding from a new pregnancy or period.

But the discharge color should never be grey, green, yellow, or thick. If you have faced these, off-colored discharges, you must understand that your pH might be off-balance.

  1. Itching

Vaginal itching is the subsequent pH off-balance symptom, which you must not take casually. While it might just be skin dehydration from ladyscaping and neglect, your vaginal aching and itching may indicate that your feminine pH level has worsened.

You may have an infection that involves bacteria. You probably have a yeast infection and should call your doctor immediately if it occurs, accompanied by dense white discharge, genital edema, or burning while urinating.

These are the top 4 indications of pH off-balance, and your health can impact vaginal pH and hormonal status. A normal vaginal pH is achieved by women who drink plenty of water, maintain a healthy diet that comprises foods like yogurt, and engage in safe sexual behavior.

It can be dangerous to apply harsh soaps to the vulva and genital regions. If you’ve ever been told to douche, don’t do it, as douching shouldn’t be done since it can remove the “good” bacteria crucial for maintaining genital hygiene. Believe us when we say that you don’t want to learn through trial and error what occurs when your pH equilibrium is awry.

Róisín Pierce Presents Technical Advancements and Modernized Structures at Paris FW ’23

Pure white with delicate techniques and intricate lace, Róisín Pierce presented their 4th Collection entitled “Beware, Beware,” at Paris Fashion Week that was inspired by Sylvia Plath’s poem “Lady Lazurus.”

The Irish womenswear collection that originated in 2020, was debut by Dublin designer Róisín Pierce, and showcased a variety of cowl neck dresses, boxy blouses, and bridal veils. Most notable for her all-white aesthetic and sustainable approach, Pierce’s brand is crafted by three generations of Irish lacemakers who collaborate to create scalloped edges, swirls, and cascading flowers using deadstock and recycled material.

From crochet lace to ruffled lace and lace embroidered flowers, Róisín Pierce has used lace in progressive and unimaginable ways. Through Róisín Pierce, you can see the subtle delicacies of Irish craftsmanship and the line really taps into femininity while utilizing empowering textures.  We also saw layers of organza, motifs of Irish Wildflower and technical advancements with modernized structures.

The Róisín Pierce team expressed how, “the collection traverses the history of censorship and control, with an eye on government and the Catholic Church.” To remain on theme, Róisín Pierce’s presentation was held inside of the American Church in Paris so you really can see the dynamic power plays at hand with woman’s oppression and women’s empowerment.

It felt liberating to see designer Róisín Pierce taking a stance and bringing attention to women’s lack of freedom in Ireland and creating a new narrative. It’s essential that there are designers like Pierce who intentionally use their talents to highlight and fight for a cause while doing so in an innovative way. We all should start taking notes from Róisín Pierce as she intentionally understands the power of her role.

Balmain’s Paris Fashion Week Collection was Epic, Iconic and Skillfully Executed

Oliver Rousteing has done it again, redefining fashion and presenting one of the most well-crafted and architectural collections at Paris Fashion Week that exuded structural and classical designs and paid homage to Pierre Balmain.

The 78-year-old house showcased their Fall/Winter 2023 collection in the capital’s Le Carreau Du Temple and aesthetically speaking, it was a slight nod to their transformational journey over the course of years. Rousteing, who’s been the Creative Designer of Balmain since 2011, has undoubtedly added a new sense of modernity and freshness, providing a new take on tailorship and forward silhouettes. Despite Rousteing’s profound contributions to move the needle forward, this year he returned to the traditional bases of Balmain’s heritage which has inevitably created longevity.

Photo: Balmain Repurposed

From a variety of black and white constructed ensembles to advanced polka dots, off the shoulder suiting, sultry deep necklines and dramatic shapes, Balmain took risks that harmonized beautifully down the runway. Their elaborate and versatile accessories which included statement hats, and handbags were the icing on the cake. As models strutted the catwalk, attendees were continuously surprised by the brilliant details and craftsmanship that each look embodied. Even the large white lapels on blazers and suiting were eye-catching and a fantastical technique that Balmain incorporated on a variety of garments.

They say, when in doubt, put a bow on it, and Balmain attributed bows on various looks at Paris Fashion Week. From bow ties, to bow inspired silk tops and asymmetrical denim bow jackets- Parisians and fashion lovers alike were in bow paradise. In addition, we saw pearl sweater and trouser combos, studded skirts, and exceptional beading work which Balmain is infinitely know for. Not to mention their symbolic Labyrinth monogram, that was resurfaced from the past and used on designs such as skirt suiting and briefcases.

It was appeasing to the eye to see how Balmain runway show transitioned into evening wear towards the end of the show delivering must have looks for the next holiday season. Balmain’s off the shoulder rhinestone encrusted dress and beaded cape were incredibly strong and perhaps amongst their best executed designs to date.

Balmain delivered head turning and revolutionized ensembles at Paris Fashion Week that were epic. Their ability to take inspiration from the past and honored Pierre’s Balmain fashion legacy was iconic and inspiring. Balmain continues to remain a head of the curve with their refined yet audacious designs that have undeniably transformed the fashion industry.

Givenchy Fall 2023 Harmonizes Parisian Elegance with California’s Tranquility

Picking up where Givenchy Fall 2023 Men’s started, Creative Director Matthew M. Williams continues the story of Parisian elegance meets Cali’s coastal ease for the womenswear side of the brand. Taking it back to the École Militaire, where menswear was shown, Williams and the Givenchy team showed a lineup of strong tailoring and femininity.

Photo: Alessandro Lucioni for Gorunway.com

The looks that followed featured the same solid tailoring with bold shoulders covering overcoats and A-line blazer dresses before opening into a beautiful harmony of textures (leather, cashmere, chiffon, sequin, and velvet). Similar to the menswear lineup, Givenchy women’s FW23 is mostly done in black and black, with a small collection of poppy hues riddled throughout.

The show opened with a black waistcoat outfitted with three box pleats, bold shoulders, and four buttons in addition to the two functional buttons that close the coat. It’s the kind of piece one might assume is couture, and that assumption wouldn’t be so far off. Some of the looks this season, although prêt-à-porter, were crafted in Givenchy’s couture atelier.

The monochromatic offerings come in an array of looks. From proportion play in the tailoring to split leather looks and outstanding eveningwear. However, Williams shakes things up with conceptual layering that mixes textures and highlights distressing. Think, a dystopian Mad Max-like world…but fashion.

Like Givenchy Fall 2023 Men’s, Matthew M. Williams has found thee way to juxtaposed the late Hubert de Givenchy’s iconically Parisian house with the ethos of his own Californian upbringing.
