Happy Thursday everyone!

We’re a little over a week from the official start of Summer and I’m so excited!

This week, celebs made TV appearances, celebrated at launch parties, and let off a little steam for a night out in floral frocks, sultry LBDs, and sheer ensembles.

Let’s get into their looks shall we?

Nicole Richie played host on Extra in a floral print Valentino frock and classic cap-toe pumps. She always has fun with fashion and I love it!

Sydney was Shanina Shaik’s backdrop as she posed at Carla Zampatti’s 50th Anniversary show in a lace LBD from the brand. Amazing figure, great dress, and flawless makeup = hot!

Blac Chyna is no stranger to flaunting her figure, and she slipped on a perforated short-sleeve open jacket, bustier top, and sheer lace skirt while partying at 1OAK in LA. This looks very similar to a ‘fit ex-BFF Kim Kardashian wore this season, but hey: no one woman has the rights to sheer designs am I right?

A puff-sleeve orange mini dress was Kendall Jenner’s choice at the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show in Antalya. Not in love with the shoe choice here, but the frock is cute.

Mollie King always gives just the right amount of flair to a look that would be simple otherwise, this week uplifting a classic LWD with a contrast belt cinching her waist and flirty ankle-strap sandals at the Louis Vuitton launch party across the pond in London.

At the Camilla and Marc Dinner celebrating their Resort 2016 collection, Olivia Culpo showed her support for the brand in a navy strapless double-breasted top and trousers. One of the most polished and refined looks of the month thus far!

Jessica Alba smiled for the paparazzi, adding a casual tinge to a white textured cutout dress and silver platform sandals with a denim jacket. So chic.

Last, but not least was Jasmin Walia who posed at the At Now Smart Girls Fake It Campaign with Superdrug Solait Launch Party in a high-neck halter mini dress, simple ankle-strap sandals, and a rose pink clutch. Less would have definitely been best here accessories-wise.

Kourtney Kardashian snapped an Instagram pic in the Staples Center for her brother-in-law’s birthday in a $347 DKNY Black Fringe Leather Jacket and $116 Kardashian Kollection Deville Knee High Boots:

Her black faux leather jacket features fringe detailing, a slim fit, and two-way zip fastening.

Her lace-up boots boast 4.5″ stiletto heels, cutout detailing, and a pointed-toe silhouette.

• Armina Mussa, longtime business partner to artist Solange, has finally spoken out on her terrible stabbing incident in April. • Like Mother, Like Daughter: Melissa Rivers will replace her late mother Joan Rivers on ‘Fashion Police.’ When the show resumes taping on August 31, Melissa will lead the E! Network show for six episodes with a rotating cast of celebrity hosts! Rumors have it that Wendy Williams is considering a spot! Let’s hope Melissa can bring the ‘Fashion Police’ to new heights. (NY Daily News)

• Jaden Smith has been getting his fair share of press, first for wearing a dress to prom, and then for returning to Twitter.  Now, the young actor is scoring a few headlines for signing on to Baz Luhrmann’s new project The Get Down. Smith will play a graffiti writer in the work which will debut as a 13-episode drama on Netflix come 2016. (StyleBlazer)

• Orange is The New Black‘s Laverne Cox will become the first ever transgender Madame Tussauds wax figure this month during Pride Weekend in San Francisco. The museum said in a statement that they were proud to celebrate her achievements and impact.  The figure will reside in the San Francisco branch of the museum. (Sydney Morning Herald)

• This comes a little late but it deserves to be spread: Zendaya Coleman continues to be one of the most level headed and mindful of young celebrities out there these days.  In a Facebook video the singer/actress/sometime designer obliquely responds to a media world fueled by reports of which celebrity decided to go natural and “Have You Seen Lady Gaga’s New Look?!” As told by Z: “It should not be a phenomenon if a girl decides to or not to wear makeup. If you want to beat that face down, then beat it down! If you want to go natural, then go natural! Do you boo, boo! Be happy!” From her lips to the ears of every woman around the world. (Teen Vogue)

• For the past year or so people have been screaming about how badly J. Crew is doing, and the sales reports have provided evidence. Now, the company is clearly taking very decisive and visible moves to change that.  This week, the brand has eliminated 175 jobs at corporate, fired their head of womenswear and taken the old head of design for Madewell and incorporated him into the J. Crew fold. Talk about action. Somsack Sikhounmuong is largely credited with the growth of Madewell, and J. Crew is likely hoping that he can replicate his success at their much bigger company. Expect less of a focus on Jenna Lyon and her premium J. Crew Collection and more on the basics. (Fashionista)

Have you heard of Procter & Gamble’s My Black is Beautiful initiative? Their Imagine a Future program was created to reach and teach millions of black women that they are beautiful through camps, inspirational initiatives and documentary screenings.
Last night they hosted a fab dinner to celebrate reaching 3.2 million girls and women with the program.

They tapped Sevyn Streeter to perform a few of her hits, including Don’t Kill the Fun and It Won’t Stop.

Before the revelry, I caught a bit of Real Style from the fashionable attendees.

How cute is Sevyn Streeter? And she’s super sweet as well! Before hitting the stage, she looked casually cute in a long black vest and ripped black jeans.

Fellow blogger Christina of Love Brown Sugar rocked a dashiki inspired dress from Shop Zuvaa (that I have in cream) and platform sandals.

There were lots of bloggers in the house, including Kela Walker of Kela’s Kloset, who wore a Joe’s Fresh striped dress, Uniqlo vest, and Target heels.

Isis from HypeHair.com repped her brand to the max with a fantastically hype hairstyle.

This gorgeous diva paired an African print top with a flared skirt and red pumps.

I appreciate this guest’s menswear inspired look. And her hair? Gorgeous!

Style Expert Tai Beauchamp was in the building, and draped a Laquan Smith lace coat over a white tank and jeans. Keep an eye out for Tai–she has a new show on TLC called Dare to Wear that debuts this Friday! Check it out!

And I went for silver with a Byron Lars Sequin Kimono Top, an MSGM skirt, and Casadei heels.

It was a great event, and I got a chance to chat it up with Sevyn! Maybe we can do a Closet Confessions video with her. Would you guys be down?

At any rate, P & G’s My Black is Beautiful program is amazing. It’s all about affirming black beauty, no matter the shade or shape. See a trailer for their documentary below:

So the 10 of you who read TheBombLife.com are well aware of my 3 Month Shopping Challenge!
Basically I am trying to be more financially responsible, and am starting this summer by cutting back on splurges, allowing myself $1,000 a month for clothes. I’m keeping costs low–and one of the items I’ve purchased thus far is Zara’s $70 fringed skirt.

The double layered skirt has a side zip.

I’ll be honest, this purchase was partly inspired by recent Bombshell Glency from the Dominican Republic.

Black is more neutral, and can work with most things in my wardrobe.

Her pumps have a silver cap toe.

It’s a beautiful dress! She looks nice, though I think I prefer her in less covered up looks (with more color!).
