Hey Bombshells!
So before Fashion Week began, I was given a challenge to go to my local
TJ Maxx or Marshalls store, and put together 3 different Fashion Week looks for $500.

The idea was to find one item that could be remixed into 3 looks with the addition of TJ Maxx items or accessories. With the challenge in mind, I made a beeline to the TJ Maxx in Union Square and began perusing their Runway department.

I found lots of great designer items at low prices, but was ultimately drawn to this $17 fluffy white skirt, and decided to use it as my foundational piece.

Working with neutrals is always a great way to go, as they mix and match effortlessly!

After perusing accessories (sunglasses and belts can kick a look up a notch)…

I started to compile clothing items that would go well with the fluffy skirt.

I decided to stick to a neutral palette in general; solid colored items can come off the most sophisticated, especially when shopping for a bargain!

Are you ready to see the result of my TJ Maxx/Marshalls Fashion Week challenge?
On the first day of wearing the skirt, I paired it with a creamy sweater from TJ Maxx, a fur coat, and Gianvito Rossi heels. I used a chain link belt from Marshalls as a necklace (I made that accessory do double duty!).

For my second time wearing the skirt, I paired it with an olive green blouse, and a blazer, both from TJ Maxx.

A metallic pump and a furry coat always seem to bring a look together.

Gotta admit, my last look was not my favorite, but I tried to make it werk, pairing a printed cape I found at TJ Maxx with the fluffy skirt, and my thigh high boots.

The grays were a bit off, but if you blink, it could work! LOL.

At any rate, there you have it!
With the exception of the outerwear and shoes, all the outfits were from TJ Maxx and Marshalls, and I scored them all for $500. Not bad, huh?
So did I pass the challenge? And which TJ Maxx/Marshalls outfit was your fave?
