Megan Thee Stallion Announces She’s Working on a New Album in an All Black Custom Mermaid Gown by Bach Mai

At the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty, Hollywood’s top echelon showed up and out to toast and celebrity all of the winners at the 95th Academy Awards. Before the champagne flowed and the dance floor rushed, Vanity Fair’s blue carpet welcomed dynamic looks like Hunter Schafer in a single white feather as a top and Offset in a Kanye-esque crystal face mask. Among the actors, actresses, and musicians that walked the carpet, Megan Thee Stallion stood out in one of her best looks yet.

The H-Town hottie wore an all-black custom mermaid gown by Bach Mai featuring a sweetheart neckline, exposed boning, and netting at the bust. Her hair was big and curly, and she kept it minimal on the accessories, only wearing a diamond ring and tennis necklace.

On the blue carpet, she caught up with Entertainment Tonight, where she shared that she is working on a new album.

Later in the Q&A, Megan revealed she called Beyoncé directly for Renaissance tour tickets, which she received with no problem. If only some of us could be so blessed.

The Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty marks Megan’s first major event since the State of California vs. Tory Lanez case, and we’re happy to see her smiling, glowing, and looking bomb.

Offset Wore a Kanye West-Like Crystal Face Mask to the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty

At the Vanity Fair Oscars Afterparty, the stars wore looks even more elaborate than the Oscars looks. While A-listers like Billie Eilish stood out in a supersized Rick Owens gown, and Tessa Thompson delivered sexy romanticism in a rose bra by Moschino, Offset caused quite the conversation in a crystal mask.

Styled by his longtime stylist SheShe, the ATL rapper wore a double-breasted tuxedo by Dior and accessorized with a custom face mask by Malcolm Anthony. Since Sunday night’s event, the look has gone seemingly viral, with social media users drawing comparisons to the Margiela mask Kanye West wore during his 2012 Revel show in Atlantic City.

The crystal Margiela face masks first debuted during the brand’s Fall 2012 Haute Couture presentation, and it wasn’t long before Ye had them off the runway and included in his Yeezus tour wardrobe. Offset wore the mask briefly before removing it to pose with his wife Cardi B, who also wore a masked look in Robert Wun.

Celebrity Stylist Law Roach Announces Retirement in Heartfelt Instagram Post Citing He’s Over the “Politics” and “Lies”

It was a regular degular Tuesday in the fashion world. Red carpet looks from the Oscars weekend was still flooding down our feeds juxtaposed with street style shots from Tokyo Fashion Week, and then the world stopped. At exactly 1:18 PM EST, celebrity stylist Law Roach announced his retirement via Instagram.

In a saddening post which now has 11,000+ comments and counting, Roach uploaded a photo of a red and white ‘RETIRED’ sign with a heartstring-gripping caption:

My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not! The politics , the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out.

Law Roach is most famously known as the mastermind behind the looks of actress and style icon Zendaya. Since 2011 the pair have made a name for themselves in fashion, working together on iconic looks like the illuminating Cinderella-inspired Tommy Hilfiger gown she wore to the 2019 Met Gala, the cobweb-covered custom Valentino for the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere, and who could forget the look that caused all that conversation: the silk Vivienne Westwood paired with faux locs for the 2015 Academy Awards. Even before Zendaya was cemented as a red carpet It Girl , Roach worked with the young starlet on her short livid clothing line Daya by Zendaya.

The Euphoria star wasn’t his only A-lister client. Since turning her into a versatile style queen, Roach has worked with Celine Dion, Tiffany Haddish, Megan Thee Stallion, Kerry Washington, Anya Taylor-Joy and more.

Roach brought his exquisite eye and love for fashion to the house of Hervé Léger ––where he collabed with the brand on a resort collection––as well as the stage of HBO’s Legendary: the ballroom competition show where he acted as a judge for all three seasons. Law Roach’s place in the industry is well deserved, and because of that, news of his retirement comes as a surprise to not only fashion fans but insiders and designers alike. Nevertheless, he’s not to blame if the politics behind the scenes are dragging him down. Even celebrity stylists must go where they are celebrated and appreciated. Unfortunately, the fashion industry isn’t that place.

The Vanity Fair Oscar’s After Party: Cardi B in Robert Wun, Megan Thee Stallion in Bach Mai, Ciara in Dundas & More

What a night to remember last night at the 95th Academy Awards ceremony where critically acclaim stars delivered outstanding performances. However let’s be honest, what we all really anticipated was the Oscars Vanity Fair after party that was brewing with elegantly dressed celebrities.

Grammy award winning rapper Cardi B arrived to the Vanity Fair red carpet in a scarlet red Robert Wun gown that was asymmetrically draped with tulle wrapped around her glamorous face that was beat by the Gods. She looked absolutely breathtaking and her look was reminiscent of Alexander McQueen or Simone Rocha. The ‘Bodak Yellow’ star looked delicate yet strong and it’s great to see her tapping into her soft girl era.

Unlike Cardi B, who opted for a bold, fiery and intense color, Celebs like Ciara, Billie Eilish and Megan Thee Stallion stayed tried and true to onyx colored hues that nonetheless left a massive impact. Ciara showed off her amazing athletic body in a Dundas transparent and crystal embellished dress with velvet gloves. She kept her glam soft and her bob cut definitely gave her that much more edge appeal.

Singer Billie Eilish who already has an Academy Award under her belt at just 21 years old, arrived to the red carpet in a black tulle Rick Owen ensemble that gave us Wednesday Adams vibes and exuded power and confidence.

In addition to wear all black, Rapper Megan The Stallion looked incredible in her custom Bach Mai gown that perfectly hugged her coke bottle curves and had a peplum flare moment below her hips. Megan Thee Stallion natural kinky undo was everything we didn’t know we needed.

One of our favorite couples, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend arrived arm in arm looking magnificent and like they were made for each other. Chrissy wore a sensational lime green beaded Zuhair Murad gown with feather sleeves and open toe platforms. While John Legend looked classic in a black Gucci suit with black Gucci loafers. Chrissy’s auburn blow out was right on trend as it’s all about the brownish red hair color for Spring/Summer 2023.

Along with Chrissy Teigen, Bay Area rapper Saweetie looked stunning in a rich green Georges Chakra gown that was tailored by Matthew Reisman and had a silk faille short sleeve and plunging neckline. Her dramatic train felt very couture and it was refreshing to see the vibrant hue on Saweetie.

Celebrities who took calculated risks at last night’s Vanity Fair’s after party included Florence Pugh in Valentino, Actress MJ Rodriguez in Gaurav Gupta and actress Hunter Schafer who surprised in a revealing Ann Demeluemesteer silk two piece.

What would a Oscar after party be without some of the most beautiful fashion models in attendance and Adwoa Aboach and Naomi Campbell definitely looked similar in their cream Loewe and Schiaperelli gowns that both had external statement bralettes covering their bust and added a different dynamic to their ensembles.

Adwoa and Naomi weren’t the only runway models on the scene, the Jenner sisters, Kylie and Kendall and their model bestie Gigi Hadid all posed on the red carpet in different looks that were flattering to their model physique.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we should have known that Stylist Jason Bolden wouldn’t disappoint when it came to his client Yara Shahidi. The ‘Grownish’ star flourished in a mesmerizing red and white Bottega Veneta dress with match gloves.  Queen & Slim British star Jodi Turner also delivered a vision in her black and red Gucci embellished gown that was an absolute knockout. Her statement red glitter lips were the perfect accent to tie her ensemble all together.

Rihanna Covered Her Baby Bump in Margiela Crystals for Her Oscars Performance

It’s been years since the last Rihanna album ––exactly six, but who’s counting?–– and while the Navy is hungry for another ANTI-type takeover, Rihanna has blessed us with not one but two live performances this year. Following her epic Super Bowl halftime show, Rihanna hit the Dolby Theatre stage Sunday night to perform Lift Me Up at the 95th Academy Awards.

Her colorful voice rang out over a violin rendition of the award-nominated track to an emotional audience in awe of her glowing vocals, face, and, of course, outfit.

At the halftime show, RiRi casually and stylishly announced she and her beau A$AP Rocky are expecting their second child. A blessing for their growing family and the fans who get another round of internet-breaking maternity looks. After arriving at the ceremony in a leather and sheer Alaïa, the Bajan beauty stepped into a crystal-covered Margiela ensemble featuring wide-leg trousers and a sleeveless top with cascading crystals. The icon accessorized with leather opera gloves and layered diamond jewelry.

With effortless style, Rihanna proves that we don’t need an album to get a remarkable performance out of her.

On the Scene: Fashion Bomb Daily CEO Claire Sulmers Stuns at Paris Fashion Week

With a high profile and a fanbase that exceeds beyond the fashion Industry, it’s no secret that CEO Claire Sulmers is THAT girl. Whether slaying New York or Paris Fashion Week, she shuts it down with her most notable looks that consist of everything from designer metallics to Mongolian furs and snakeskin prints.

Although Paris Fashion Week came to a halt this week, it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t give you a glimpse into Claire’s latest expedition to the Paris shows. From attending the Balmain show where her favorite designer Oliver Rousteing presented a wide assortment of black and white ensembles down the runway, to personally being invited to attend the Paris FW Givenchy show, Claire was undoubtedly on fire. Despite some of the hiccups that Claire encountered while on her Parisian excursion, such as her flight being postponed and her bags being delayed, you wouldn’t have never known based on how flawlessly she looked. Claire wore a red snakeskin Ivy Park sequined duster with a wrap blouses and red snakeskin pants from Neiman Marcus.

She expressed, “with entrepreneurship, there will be moments when unfortunate things happen, however it’s important that you don’t quit, and you continue to push forward to make it right.” Her intentional and admirable mindset is what allowed Claire to persevere. In fact, perseverance is nothing new to the Harvard alumni who once lived in Paris, interned for Paris Vogue and worked for Vogue Italia.

Claire, who’s originally from Atlanta, was able to reunite with stylists for the stars, Jeremey Haynes and the designer of the Grey Area brand, Mark by Mark. Claire expressed how “Jeremey has styled half of Atlanta including celebs like Usher, Kandi and most recently Mary J Blige.”

Every time I go to Paris, I can’t help but remember that girl who use to walk the streets of Paris with a camera around her neck, asking people to take their picture, or the girl who so desperately wanted to be in the fashion industry but couldn’t find a way in,” stated Sulmers.

Fast forward to now, and Claire personally being invited to attend the Givenchy show by designer Matthew Williams and walking into the Givenchy store on Rue Faubourg Saint Honoré to shop a look for the show. “It’s a testament to God’s grace, hard-work and what faith can do,” explained Sulmers.

She looked incredible in her black Givenchy cutout flare dress, that was styled with black gloves, Givenchy shades and Cult of Coquette patent leather thigh high boots from the Fashion Bomb daily shop. As she brilliantly strutted inside the venue, paparazzi snapped her photos and captured the media maven in all her glory.

Towards the end of Claire’s trip to Paris Fashion Week, Claire made a pitstop to meet with the designer of Jitrois who was delighted to have her preview his latest presentation. Jitrois collection was edgy, and over-the-top with fringe pants, Moto jackets and rich Mongolian furs such as the white off-the-shoulder fur that Claire is wearing below.

Claire’s ultimate fashion advice to those inspired by her journey is that, “nothing should stop you from pursuing your dreams, which is a mantra that I personally live by, and one which has served me well.

On the Scene at Essence Black Women in Hollywood 2023: Including Marsai Martin in For Love & Lemons, Teyana Taylor in Kidill, Quinta Brunson in Greta Constantine and More

A marvelous and glorious luncheon honoring the most legendary and eminent black entertainers of Hollywood was a sight to behold at the 16th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood awards held inside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

From honorees such as the legendary Sheryl Lee Ralph, and actress Danielle Deadwyler, to presenters like Quinta Brunson and Yara Shahidi, black excellence arrived in full force with beautifully crafted ensembles that were fiercely fashionable.

The red carpet was filled with accentuating and over-the-top looks, and we all know that anywhere where black women are the topic of the theme, they’re going to show out with guns blazing.  Singer Chlöe wore a white maxi body-con cut-out dress with white gloves while giving an incredible performance in her euphonious voice.

We also saw full monochromatic looks from Quinta Brunson and Yandi Smith, and a play on plaid from singer Teyana Taylor. Carolina Wanga served us Solange vibes with her orb-like halo crown while Megan Good and Mona Scott Young looked Spring forward in orange and mint green hues.

Some celebs chose to keep it classic with traditional black and white ensembles like our CEO Claire Sulmers who embodied old Hollywood glam and looked incredible and regal in her Sergio Hudson strapless black and white bicolor column gown. Along with Sulmers, stars like Danielle Deadwyler, Bresha Webb, Kiki Layne and Karrueche opted for those ceremonial colors that you can never go wrong with.

The celebratory afternoon felt ritualistic, in true Essence fashion to praise and present poignant accolades to some of the brightest black women in Hollywood who are challenging the status quo, leaving progressive footprints, and delivering outstanding performances in their chosen fields.

Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon ultimately highlighted influential black women who are changing the narrative of what success looks like and what it means to be highly sought after in Hollywood. The honorees and attendees, many of whom were the change-makers in the room, looked victorious, stunning and incredibly modern . Check out some of the red carpet looks below:
