Happy Friday!
So I’m down in Atlanta to host an event (details here–swing by if you can tonight from 7-9 at Club Monaco in Lenox Mall!). At any rate, anytime I swing through ATL, I hit up Kenny Burns to see what’s poppin! He was hosting an event at the Gold Room with Wale and the Dream, so I decided to stop by.
ATLPics.net was in the building to capture the festivities. Both Wale and the Dream performed hits from their respective albums. Dream sang Rockin that Thing and I Luv Your Girl while Wale performed The Matrimony, Clappers, and more.
Before going inside, I posed with Kenny on the carpet.
Kenny rocked Helmut Lang with Comme des Garcons x Converse sneakers. He finished his look with Porsche Design by Carrera shades.
I shopped my closet, and slipped on a Balmain mini dress with Brian Atwood sandals. I picked up on the gold in my sandals with a Melody Ehsani necklace and bracelets.
And The Dream kept it simple in cotton jersey gray and black separates, topped off by Timberlands and a wide brimmed hat.
It was a fun night, but first Mary, now this? I’m pooped!
Anyway I will have a few days to recover before heading to LA for the BET Awards.
Keep it locked here;)

I am a sucker for anything that adds a bit of personality to my outfits. So, after running across So Excessive and their letter initial cuffs, I was instantly smitten! According the the brand’s mission, the ‘excessive‘ movement is aimed towards the woman who ‘owns her look and wouldn’t be caught dead without her confidence‘. In addition, ‘Excessiveness doesn’t stop with her appearance – she’s Excessive in life, she’s going to work while finishing school, she’s running a business while raising a family and she’s the CEO of her life’.
The cuffs come in a wide variety of styles including silver, gold and rose gold. The price range isn’t too steep either – with pieces ranging from $44 to $58. Not too bad, huh?
And, if personal initials aren’t quite your steeze, check out So Excessive‘s LOVE Collection. These cuffs boast heart cutouts and the word ‘love’. In my opinion, the versatility of these pieces are the real MVP! Not only can they be paired with a casual frock (like a tee and jeans) but they can also add a touch a glam to any evening look.
Want to know more about the So Excessive brand? Well, head on over to their official site here for additional purchasing details or sift through their IG @soexcessive.
Happy Thursday, Guys!
Last night I was invited to the Casa Reale Fine Jewelry Launch at the Box, and was treated to a special performance by Rose McGowan and Mary J. Blige!
Before the festivities began, invitees enjoyed a delicious dinner.
Then it was time for Mary to take the stage! The Queen of Hip Hop and R&B regaled the crowd with hits like Real Love, No More Drama, and Family Affair, along with a few new songs from her London Sessions album.
Afterwards, I managed to grab a pic with Mary J and Rose McGowan! Mary and I bonded briefly over our Capricorn connection (her birthday is January 11th, mine is January 12th).
It was a fun time, with a glittering crowd, which included the Yushuvaeva Casa Reale family, Derek Anderson, Victor Kubicek, Kimberly Hachett, Haya Maraka, Beatrix Ost, Ty Hunter, Beverly Camhe, Lauren Remington-Platt, Skye Peters, Stella Schnabel, Frederique van der Wal, Anya Varda, Arden Wohl, Francesca Eastwood, Frances Fisher, Ann Dexter-Jones, Langley Fox, Natalie Joos, Sarah Sophie Flicker, Erin Fetherston, Cory Kennedy, Angela Simmons, Michelle Hicks, Victoria Bartlett, Mick Rock, Paul Wilson, and more.
In fact, most attendees were sporting pieces from Casa Reale. See more pictures from the night here:

I admittedly have had quite a somber morning given the news coming out of Charleston, but I’m taking this fashion-filled respite as a distraction from the harrowing events that seem to affect our society on a regular basis. I hope it can serve as a bit of momentary amusement for you as well.
There were a ton of high-fashion events this week including the Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, The Max Mara 2015 Face Of The Future Event, and the Burberry Menswear Spring 2016 show. Celebs slipped on bold frocks, pristine all-white ensembles, statement-making sandals, and even a few expertly-tailored suits.
Let’s see what they wore!
Tessa Thompson was the lady in red at the Women in Film 2015 Crystal + Lucy Awards in LA, shimmering in a sequin-embellished Max Mara dress, black pumps, and a Rauwolf clutch.
At the The Max Mara 2015 Women In Film Face Of The Future event at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, Ashley Madekwe was simple and chic in a monochromatic all-white look consisting of a short-sleeve blouse from the brand and cropped pleated trousers. She finished her ‘fit with a gold metallic Max Mara clutch, ankle-strap sandals, and red lips. Hot!
Jamie Chung punctuated a simple tie-waist LBD with lace-up snakeskin sandals at the Flock of Dudes Screening at the 2015 LA Film Festival. A cool look in my book.
A light grey check suit and navy lace-up shoes were Chiwetel Ejiofor’s choices at the Burberry Menswear Spring/Summer 2016 show across the pond in London. I liked this relaxed take on the Summer suit!
We’ve been blessed with a David Gandy sighting this week! He was also at the Burberry show in a three-piece gray suit, pinstripe shirt, and contrasting navy tie. Has he ever looked anything less than gorgeous?
Last, but certainly not least were Tinie Tempah, Lewis Hamilton, and Labrinth at the Richard James show during The London Collections Men SS16. So many hot men in just one picture? I’m here for it!
Still no submissions for international street style, so we’re throwing it over to the ever so talented David Nyanzi in London!
He actually sent quite a few great pictures my way, but this young lady caught my attention:
Her curls are electric, and let’s get into her outfit! She added a girly twist to a tomboy chic look with ruffled socks. Adorable, no?
Stay tuned for more London street chic, and style from all over the world tomorrow.
And how about this: If you know of great street style photographers abroad, leave their Instagram page or website in the comments;)
Until then, what do you think?
