So the past few days in Trinidad have been action packed! While we’ve been popping into workshops and fashion shows, we relaxed over the weekend at Maracas beach.
I decided to go for maximum color in an Andrea Iyamah Kanda High Waist Bikini and a Tess Blue Beach Cape:
Seriously, how fun is this cape?
Though several people in our group managed to step on it (boo!) and it got a bit dirty (double boo!), I had lots of fun playing with it in the wind. It’s definitely a head turner!
The kind folks at Trinidad and Tobago Fashion Week have provided me with a makeup artist, Jaumark Pierre, who gave me a bright lip and a touch of bright green color on my waterline to go with my island vibe.
At any rate, I’m learning so much about TNT culture–have had my fill of Bake N Shark and sipped on some Puncheon–and am enjoying discovering new designers.
As I said before, I’ll be featuring an item from a local designer every day, so stay tuned for updates.
And be sure to follow @FashionBombDaily @ClaireSulmers and Claire Sulmers on the Snapchat.

I came across this model/image consultant by way of Harper’s Bazaar. And, it was one of her quotes that caught me completely off guard, she simply states, “When it comes to Louboutins, most women purchase heels as their first pair, but I got the sneakers instead.“
This young up and comer is featured as one of the hottest bloggers around and her style is nothing short of mindblowing. So, brace yourselves as we take a trip into the fabulous world of Aleali May!
This fashonista is different. I was smitten by her impeccable layering skills and her knack for pairing some of the most whimsical of designs. In addition, Aleali’s style is the type that cannot be duplicated.
With an added dose of minimal flair and an enviable sneaker game, this Bomb Blogger proves that sporty can also be sexy. As you peruse her blog, it’s evident that Aleali loves a good crop top, funky jackets and loads of black. I’m here for it all!
