Happy Thursday!
Earlier this week, I attended a ‘She Who Dares’ talk hosted by
ColorComm, an organization created for women of color in communications.

The encouraging conversation featured EVP of
Creative Advertising Agency GlobalHue Kelli Coleman and Beauty Expert
Tai Beauchamp, and was moderated by the ever effervescent
Jovian Zayne. The accomplished ladies touched on issues of courage, vulnerability, and definitions of success in one’s career.

I’m always so inspired by talks like these, and took away a few take home points. From Tai: Live with purpose. Think about your purpose and mission in life and how you want to inspire others by your work.

From Kelli: In your career, be open to anything and attached to nothing. Dare greatly. And from both, look at your path as not a destination but a journey. look at everything from the standpoint of continual progress!

And while the wisdom and knowledge imparted was on point, Karl Pierre and I were also in the building to capture the Style of the accomplished participants:

Tai Beauchamp looked ravishing in orange Ronny Kobo separates and Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals.

Kelli Coleman was prim and pretty in a red Giambattista Valli perforated skater dress, Stuart Weitzman Nudist sandals, and a Giles and Brother choker.

Moderator Jovian Zayne skewed simple in a black jumpsuit and sparkly peep toe booties.

Bomb blogger @MarshBarsCloset amplified orange pants and a denim top with a printed head wrap and African necklace.

Angella White rocked a Joe’s Jeans denim jumpsuit, BCBG pumps, and a French Connection rain jacket.

The @Persian_Beauty offset a Zara and Louis Vuitton ensemble with flaming hot Tom Ford sandals.

The ever fabulous Zoe Zeigler rocked a chic black leather dress and pumps, both from Forever 21.

Doggy couture designer @AmberKane wore black and gold for the night in Robert Rodriguez, Rebecca Minkoff, and Jimmy Choo.

Nadia Vassell worked a yellow French Connection dress, a BCBG jacket, and Gucci peep toes.

Lastly, friends Imani and Kai posed pretty, with Imani in a Banana Republic pants and a Zara button down, and Kai in a Boohoo top, ASOS skirt, and Nine West shoes.
And as for me…I wore a Byron Lars Crawford Knit Sheath Dress.

I accessorized with Tom Ford Padlock pumps and gold earrings.

Fashion Bomb Daily is now an official Colorcomm partner!
We’ll be down in Miami at the end of July for their annual conference, snapping pix for the ‘Gram and the blog.
From what I understand, it’s a fabulous networking opportunity–and tickets are still available. Read more about the organization and the conference here.
What do you think of the Real Style at the event?
