Unforgettable, and incredibly extraordinary, Rihanna took our breath away in a knockout black and white Chanel ensemble Saturday night during a dinner outing at Caviar Russe in New York city.
Many of us anticipated whether Rihanna would attend this year’s Met Gala, and from the looks of it, it’s beginning to look a lot promising. The ‘Diamonds’ singer released a series of photos on her instagram page that she jokingly captioned, “Not even Monday.”
She’s definitely giving us a preview of the heat that she’s bringing and is also letting her spectators know that she’s coming with her A-game. Hello!

Shining bright like the diamond that she is, Rihanna took us back to the 90’s in a white fuzzy Coperni dress that was completed with a black and white cropped fur jacket from Chanel’s Fall 1994 collection. The sensational and luxurious pieces were originally designed by the late Karl Lagerfeld who celebrities will pay homage to later this evening.
To tie her look together, Rihanna accessorized with a Benny Andallo fur hat and white Chanel logo shades to go with her statement diamonds earrings. For her shoe candy, she kept things simple with her black Amina Muaddi open-toe heels that had a satin pink and silver strap.
This video showcases Rihanna strutting as she left Caviar Russe on Madison Ave. with her adorable baby bump that reminded us of how fiercely fashionable the expecting mother is. Perhaps she is one of the most stylish pregnant celebrities of our time.

We’re so excited to see what Karl Lagerfeld inspired look Rihanna has up her sleeve and were also hoping to see A$AP Rocky by her side as she turns heads and shows out in another fantastical creation.
“Living my life likes it golden” were the infamous lyrics to Jill Scott’s song “Golden” and perhaps Lori Harvey would have been the perfect video girl based on how dazzling and luminous the SKN founder looked at The Prince’s Trust Global Gala Thursday evening.
The 26-year socialite arrived at Cipriani South Street in New York wearing a 2004 canary chiffon Georges Chakra gown that looked so luxurious on the gorgeous model. Her marigold embellished trousers complimented her criss-cross top that had mid and side cutouts. She looked feminine and fresh in her white Femme LA Luce Minimale open-toe sandals. Her curled bob hairdo gave the perfect touches of old Hollywood glam.

Along with Lori, other celebrities to attend the event included Doja Cat, Iman, Rita Ora, and Winnie Harlow to name a few. The event which celebrates the contributions of The Prince’s Trust, with funds being allocated to the organization’s global charities was hosted by co-chairs, Lionel Richie and Editor-in-Chief of British Vogue, Edward Enninful.
As Lori posed on the red carpet, noticeably missing was her boyfriend Damson Idris, however who’s to say the British Actor wasn’t on the set of one of his latest projects. Nonetheless, it’s evident to see that Lori can hold her own.

It was a breath of fresh air to see Lori Harvey gleaming from head to toe. Time after time, she continues to bring such fierce looks and her stylist, Elly Karamoh who also styles her step father Steve Harvey knows what proportions and silhouettes work best for the 5’3 model. We look forward to see what looks Lori will bring in May.

Think video walls and immersive displays with never seen before artwork and marvelous diamonds.

The Met Gala’s 2022 Theme last year was all about Gilded Glamour, a throwback to an age roughly between 1870 and 1900, which marked a time of economic prosperity in the United States. While attendees at last year’s festivities sidled up to the theme wearing period pieces or actual gilded pieces (think gold and over the top extravagance), there were a few stand outs.
Take a look at our top picks from last year below:
Kim Kardashian in Bob Mackie
Rumors swirled that Kim Kardashian would be wearing the dress Marilyn Monroe wore to sing Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy, and all the rumors were true! Kim Kardashian shined next to then beau Pete Davidson sporting the barely there gown, uplifting the $5 million look with a platinum, Marilyn Monroe blonde high bun. While her look wasn’t the most dramatic, it certainly adhered to the theme in an almost literal way.
Cardi B In Versace
Rapstress Cardi B took the “Gilded” call seriously, and sizzled on the maroon carpet in a golden Versace gown equipped with copious chains and Medusa medallions. Gold nails and layered chains completed her look.
Teyana Taylor in Iris Van Herpen
Teyana Taylor wasn’t quite on theme, however her dramatic Iris Van Herpen gown certainly made a statement. The drama and metallic adornment certainly made her one of the best dressed of the night.
Blake Lively in Versace
Blake Lively looked like a princess in a Versace gown, equipped with metallic accents. She is one of the few who understood the assignment.
Janelle Monae in Ralph Lauren
Janelle Monae was one of the belles of the ball in a period piece by Ralph Lauren equipped with copious embellishments. She managed to stay true to her signature style, while still oozing Gilded Glamour.
Which look was your favorite from 2022?
Stay tuned for all the fun and fashion at this year’s Met Gala, whose theme is Karl Lagerfeld. It celebrates the opening of the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” exhibit, which honors the late designer’s style and themes.
When you think about the world of fashion and some of the key power players that have changed the landscape of how the world sees themselves, you couldn’t have this conversation without mentioning powerhouses such as the late Virgil Abloh, Kanye West, and legendary stylist, Law Roach. It’s no coincidence that all of these men hail from one of the greatest cities in the world, Chicago, Illinois. Locally, there is one more Chicago raised fashion powerhouse that is quickly climbing his way into the list of fashion icons, Blake Martin.
Blake Martin began his fashion production journey back in 2006, producing over 150 fashion shows nationwide and becoming a leader amongst fashion show producers within the US. During the pandemic, Martin put his fashion show aspirations on hold, and ventured into a new space, and quickly became a world renowned fashion photographer, capturing some of the industries biggest celebrities and rising model talent. While it’s clear the world loves his photography work, it is no doubt that the fanbase of his fashion events span even larger, with his most recent runway show, The Secret Garden, selling out within 48 hours.
The Secret Garden Fashion Show was Blake Martin’s first in-person, public fashion showcase since global lockdowns would render virtual showings the norm, and Blake did not disappoint. While this show was not amongst the high-brow elite of New York fashion week, we can undoubtedly say that the presentation of Blake Martin was the identical twin of the most high fashion runway shows in Paris, Milan and New York.
The Secret Garden was held at Chicago’s historic Garfield Park Conservatory, one of the largest and most stunning botanical conservatories in the nation. Often referred to as “landscape art under glass,” the Conservatory showcases thousands of plant species from around the world throughout eight indoor display gardens. This venue seamlessly tied together the title and theme of the show and the experience that the audience would embark upon.
With a line outside of the venue that started two and a half hours before showtime, the doors opened at 6:00 p.m., and guests dashed to get the best seats next to the runway. The FROW Media team structured the attendees’ chairs to face the runway from both sides, creating an immersive and intimate experience. Amongst the nearly 600 guests, were celebrity guests that included Gospel Legend Donald Lawrence, Hip Hop icon Shawnna, actress and producer Ta’Rhonda Jones, rapper Mikey Everything and midwest marketing director of CHANEL, Angela Clemons. Adorned on every seat of the venue were gift bags from CHANEL, Mielle Organics, MCM and Blake Martin.
The show, which started promptly on time at 7:03pm, opened with a high-energy dance number by The Pynk Playhaus and choreographed by Chicago staple, Pagan McClure. The youth of this dance empire performed to hits from artists such as Lizzo, Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Kendrick Lamar. The dance routine was the perfect pallet warm up for what was coming next. Model Joshua Corney opened the show in a rust colored two piece suit with lace embellishment and matching full face mask by Blake Martin and BJC Couture, and accessorized with gorgeous jewelry by Coco and Peach. Look after look of this opening collection was bold, colorful, and pushed the envelope of traditional menswear. The versatility of the models enhanced the presentation of the entire experience. No two models walked down the runway with the same poses, speed or facial expressions. It was the definition of what inclusion looks like.
The second collection by Knotty Loop Designs made just as big of an impact as the first. These handmade crochet designs were the epitome of craftsmanship and beautiful designs. The female models stormed the runway like lionesses, further bringing the audience into this jungle like atmosphere.
The Secret Garden was spearheaded by Mielle Organics, one of the country’s leading hair care brands. The Mielle Organics brand identity was evident as model after model entered the runway with perfectly manicured hair with an ethnic, edgy, and high fashion point of view, done by the team of AJ Knows Hair. The tribal under eye makeup, by the team of Bold Personality Beauty, was the perfect match for not only the hair but the scenery, making the models feel like predators walking down the runway after their vulnerable fashion prey.
Between the 158 looks shown on the runway, the color palette incorporated tropical hues purple, orange-red, turquoise and peach with earthy green tones contrasted against black and white neutrals. It was all in the details for the designers featured in The Secret Garden, showcasing a wide range of collections of high fashion from Omari’s Closet, Xclusive Habit and Jae Amour. To streetwear by Erick Locke and Ravaugn Crowley, and even jaw dropping underwear and lingerie of Beefy Boy underwear and Savage X Fenty. Each designer’s theme interpretation generated a unique product. Every outfit was different, highlighting just how exceptional the team behind Blake Martin is. Many diverse and wonderful perspectives that exist within the association is a clear brand messaging of Blake Martin and his team.
Ultimately, this fashion experience can be summed up into one word, BRAVO!! It is very rare that a local production can display the professionalism, entertainment, and high fashion aesthetic that was shown by Blake Martin. In everything he does, it goes without saying that Blake Martin is a one of a kind. One runway experience after another, he never fails to go all out—giving us a spectacle of breathtaking pieces complemented by a beguiling runway show. Thousands know his name today, millions will be aware tomorrow.

Kim Kardashian in John Galliano Dress, with a Chanel Pearl Bag
From LA to Paris and now New York, Rihanna is certainly the epitome of someone living a bicoastal lifestyle. The Barbadian singer was spotted exiting her New York hotel this week while taking her niece Majesty on a shopping spree.
Considering she’s back on the East Coast, she brought her New York swag with her. While in Paris, we captured RiRi in a series of different looks ranging from a Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld oversized Coat, to a Marni getup.
However, the city that oozes individuality and freedom, allowed Rihanna to let her hair down and take a more understated approach. Opting for the quintessential New York vibe, Rihanna wore a wife-beater shirt with oversize Boyfriend jeans, and a glamorous vintage 1998 Mink coat by John Galliano. Looking like a true New Yorker, she wore a Yankees baseball cap and Timberland 6-Inch Premium “Wheat” boots.
Taking a closer look at the archived John Galliano coat that she also rocked during her time in Paris, you’ll notice the the oversized lapel collars, and rich pattern of the fur. Most notably was the electric blue lining- a novel addition to one of Galliano’s signature looks.
We’re happy to see Rihanna return back to the states in a more tone down look as versatility is key in fashion. However we know it’s only a matter of time before the “B**ch Better Have Money” star brings out her 4-inch heels to walk the New York pavement that’s perfect for a catwalk.

Over the weekend, the 42-year old media personality and business women carved time out of her schedule to attend her daughter North West’s basketball game and to match the sporty theme, she rocked track pants.
