Who knew there were so many ways to slay in black and white?
Janelle Monae was certainly in her element at Chanel’s airplane inspired Spring 2016 show, wearing a black and white dress from the house’s Fall 2015 collection.
She greeted her male doppelganger, Karl Lagerfeld, who was justifiably smitten with her!
Fashion it-girl Olivia Palermo has just launched her jewelry collaboration with Baublebar. Although many of her pieces are absolutely amazing, there was one particular gem that caught my eye – the Queenbee Gold Cuff.
The Queenbee Gold Cuff features a vintage-inspired design with a large embellished bee motif.
Available for $58, I think it’d be the perfect statement maker!
**Sidenote: If the cuff isn’t your speed, check out some more pieces from the collection below!
There’s certainly something for everyone – from ear crawler sets to cocktail rings – the selection caters to accessory lovers everywhere. I’m here for it all!
In the meantime, check out additional purchasing details for the Queenbee Gold Cuff here.

As we here in the States are getting prepared for the oncoming autumnal chill, Giambattista Valli is deep in the heart of Spring. From bold blue eyeshadow to gladiator sandals that cascaded to the upper calf with platform soles glistening with glitter, his Spring collection was an ode to all things pretty and youthful, with bare legs, chiffon, and ruffles to boot.
The stylish decades of the 60’s and 70’s were the influences with swing coats in flirty floral prints, expertly-tailored suiting, and collarless rocker chic jackets. A modern edge was injected with statement-making studs, eye-catching embellishment, and fierce strappy sandals.
The sheer dress trend made an appearance in bold hues and vibrant patterns with crystal adornment, embroidered cups, sophisticated neckties, and sultry keyholes. We’ll definitely see at least one or two of the gowns on display during awards season.
Was there anything rebellious or radical about what Valli offered up? Not quite, but is there anything wrong with lively and bold designs oozing with femininity? Not at all. The clothes emitted approachability, grace, and fun: the kind of looks you want not only for Spring, but in your wardrobe year-round.
Janelle Monae and her stylist Maeve Reilly are painting Paris black and white with a series of delectable threads! Yes, the chanteuse has been sticking to her signature noir et blanc color palette, but has been injecting her looks with lots of punch with prints, textures, and fun clutches.
Take a look:
One of my favorite ensembles was the Emanuel Ungaro polka dotted two piece she wore to the house’s show.
She accessorized with Nicholas Kirkwood polly petal ankle strap sandals and a Kotur clutch.
Lastly, for the Giambattista Valli show, she was styled in a swirl printed dress and coat from Valli’s Fall 2015 collection, topped off by $950 Sophia Webster Alessandra Feather Sandals.
That’s a load of lovely looks!
The polka dot prints were my favorite.
Which was yours?

I can’t wait for AHS: Hotel to premiere this week! One of the show’s stars, Angela Bassett, was totally fierce at the red carpet event in a $550 Theia Vegan Leather Cocktail Dress:
Her one-shoulder cocktail dress features an open back, vegan leather bodice, zibeline paneling, and a crepe skirt.
Her levels of flawlessness are permanently spiking.
If you’re up for the splurge, get Angela’s frock here.
Zendaya Coleman is taking PFW by storm! She was print-perfect at the Kenzo Spring 2016 Show in a Fall 2015 Printed Coat, Ruffle Accented Print Top, and Printed Trousers from the brand:
Her coat was shown with an equally-bold, ruffle-accented shirt, printed wrap skirt, and python booties on the runway.
Her trousers were paired with a cozy hat and patterned poncho.
Not a huge fan of her hair here, but the look was fab!
She says, “What inspires my style? For me personally it’s all about being comfortable.”
” If I can’t fit it I don’t wear it!”
” I’m not with todays trend of trying to look “sexy” by wearing less and showing more.”
“My body is a temple of God and I treat it that way!”
Preach! Your looks are bomb. Casual with a kick!
