Kris Jenner celebrated her 60th birthday with a Great Gastby themed fete! Of course all her daughters joined in on the festivities. Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie all sparkled in dresses by Middle Eastern designer Yousef Al-Jasmi.
Khloe rocked a $16,500 net beaded gown covered with over 400,000 crystals.
Let’s take a moment to salivate over Kylie’s Krazy Kloset! Anywho, Kylie wore an $18,000 silver mesh and Swarovski beaded gown. Adorned with crystal chains and over 400,000 crystals, the piece took over 16 days to create.
Kendall wore an $8,000 Yousef Al-Jasmi silver fringed cocktail dress, which sparkled with over 100,000 crystals.
These dresses are everything! I’d wear one to my wedding, though, not my mom’s birthday party. Guess it’s all relative!
What do you think of their looks?
I recently stumbled across Kalamarie Handbags, a line of chic totes and clutches constructed with crocodile and leather.
One of my favorites is their $850 Josephine Saddle Bag in Gray:
The pieces comes in a load of colors, including navy blue, black, burgundy, and burnt orange.
Wear it over your shoulder or cross body. It’s perfect for fall!
Kat Graham shimmered and sparkled at the 2015 Soul Train Awards in the same $1,425 Giuseppe Zanotti Coline Sandals Jada Pinkett Smith originally wore back in July:
Kat paired the sandals with a green sequin Balmain x H&M mini dress, while Jada chose a $3,859 Strapless Embellished Mini Dress from the iconic French fashion house’s main line.
Her suede sandals feature with Swarovski crystal embellishment and intricately cut heel panels.
Kenny Burns celebrated his birthday at the Gold Room in Atlanta, and brought Nas along to co-host. Nasir kept his look sporty in a $300 Hood by Air Double Zip Logo T-Shirt.
He grabbed a pic with the birthday boy, Alex Gidewon, and Jeezy.
The long sleeve t-shirt in black has a rib knit crewneck collar and cuffs, mirrored zipper accents, and a logo on the front.
Some of the best comments this week came from customer testimonials from the Balmain x H&M launch. As you’re undoubtedly aware, shoppers fought, grabbed, and stampeded to get their hands on sumptuous embroidered dresses, velvet pants, and gold buttoned blazers.
A reader who called herself, “Where’s the Love?” recounted her experience, “I was there. One of the first to go in at the West Hollywood Location in LA. I had been waiting since 8pm Wednesday evening. It was quite the experience. One to go down in History books or at least a check mark on my bucket list. I kept asking myself why I was there because it was completely out of my element and I couldn’t really come up with a solid answer. I’m not a fan of Kim K or any celebrity for that matter but I do aesthetically enjoy the fashions of Balmain and designer Olivier.”
” I made friends with the Koreans in front of me. We planned a strategy to help each other out and in the end they were only in it to resell on Ebay. People were really bold in line i.e. paying people off trying to score, paying folks to stand in line for them, one guy put two chairs down and went home to go to bed only to come back to his chairs in the street. A verbal argument ensued when he returned and was kicked out of line. One girl was dropped off by her uber driver and walked to the front of the line and sat down like she had been there all night. It started to get ruthless and tension was thick. The energy was shifting and it was no longer fun and exciting. Although, I was able to get the pieces I wanted I’m questioning if it was worth it in the end.”
” I enjoy the creative element of fashion and self expression. But clothes don’t make you happy. Happiness truly comes from within. I’m taking the next few days to go deep within myself through mediation and prayer to bring to the surface of why I may feel the need to engage in consumerism to this capacity. I learned so much about myself in this experience. I hope this helps anyone who wasn’t able to get what they wanted. The arguing the fighting, pushing, shoving, every man for himself mentality is not what fashion or life should be about. If we learned anything especially post 911/Katrina, what seems to be more rewarding is helping people, giving back, looking out for one another or just putting a smile on someone’s face. Where is the Love????”
Indeed, where is the love? Fashion should be a fun flourish, the cherry on top of the cake of life–not a cruel competitive sport.
What do you think of “Where is the Love”‘s story?

I hope everyone had a productive and prosperous week! I’ve been so busy with juggling other projects while attempting to maintain some sort of structure (lol, am I the only one who struggles with this?!) But, anywho, I’m thankful for the opportunities that continue to come my way. But, enough of my blabbering. Let’s get into this post!
The gorgeous Tracee Ellis Ross looked impeccable as she uplifted a long-sleeved shimmery number by Maiyet. The actress took her accessories up a notch as she donned statement arm candy and a matching black/gold clutch. She’s flawless, no?
Gigi Hadid joined gal pal Kendall Jenner at The Nice Guy for the model’s 20th birthday celebration while flaunting a plunging silk ivory blouse, black trousers by Roksanda Ilincic and metallic beaded sandals. Like they always say, it’s best to keep it simple!
Naomie Harris skewed ultra sophistication as she attended the Black Women of Bond Tribute in Los Angeles. The style maven kept it classically chic in a red Burberry mini dress. Her look boasts sheer long sleeves, intricate floral embroidery and a fitted silhouette. She finished off her red carpet look with Casadei sheer sandals and a black clutch. Love it!
As previously mentioned reality starlet/model Kendall Jenner partied it up earlier this week for her 20th birthday! She chose to go the all-black route in a strategically-cutout jumpsuit by Sergio Hudson. Her ‘fit features a halter top, a plunging neckline and showcases an insane amount of skin. Hot!
5) Chanel Iman in Fausto Puglisi
To round out of favorite looks, we have the stunning Chanel Iman! The flawless model graced the cameras at the 12th Annuual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards as she slayed in a printed bomber jacket, a Fausto Puglisi bandeau and a detailed skirt. I adore how she paired this look with Giuseppe Zanotti leather zipper booties! It sort of gives off this rock-n-roller vibe. It makes it a little unexpected as well.
Today’s Bombshell is a birthday girl! Ludivine from Paris was submitted by her friend Lyna:
Ludivine writes, “I live between Paris and Brazzaville, I am starting my own charity this year focusing on getting women to have Better medical care in Africa and I love fashion.”
“I don’t have a blog but post a lot on Instagram @lu.m.2. Instagram is my daily escape from the real world and I Love to get inspiration from people around the world.”
“I am not big on designers clothes but shoes and bags are my guilty pleasure.”
“For the evening, I Love a good pair of heels, the higher the better.”
“During the day I will be in flats.”
“Living in Paris is so inspiring. I moved here with my family when I was 10 and even tho I go back to Congo every other month, Paris stays one of my favorite city in the world.”
