What do you think?
Whew! This year has been quite the whirlwind, no? We’ve seen the emergence of some amazing up-and-coming models as well as witnessed the ongoing reign of others but, one thing remains clear – 2015 was lit!
The ModeloftheYear category consists of women who took the fashion world by storm. From endless campaigns to their impressive runway performances, each of these nominees has proven that the title “model” entails more than just a pretty face.
1) Kendall Jenner
Say what you want about the Kardashian-Jenner clan but let’s state facts – they were an evident fixture within social and entertainment media throughout the entirety of 2015. Yes, Khloe launched her book and Kylie smized on the ‘Gram but it was Kendall Jenner who consistently slayed in the fashion world.
The 20-year old phenom landed some of the biggest fashion campaigns this year including the highly-anticipated Balmain x H&M collection and Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse Rouge deal. Aside from branding her famous face, Kendall also took to the runways where she walked for some iconic designers including Chanel, Elie Saab, Michael Kors, Givenchy and Diane von Furstenberg.
In addition, Kendall’s classically chic street style has even garnered her sartorial praise on nearly every fashion blog. There’s just no denying that this girl is everywhere. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for 2016!
2) Lineisy Montero
I’m a HUGE fan of our next nominee! I literally fell in love with her from the first time I spotted her on that memorable August 2015 cover of Teen Vogue (alongside Imaan Hammam and Aya Jones). Dubbed ‘FashionMonth’sMostPopularModel‘ by Harper’s Bazaar, Lineisy Montero conquered the hearts of millions in a single stride. In total, the Dominican Republic native graced the runway 68 times.
With snagging opening spots for Derek Lam and Jason Wu, the natural-haired siren also solidified contributed as the face of Prada’s Fall ad campaign. Her effortless beauty is what truly make Lineisy a class act. It’s evident that she works hard and looks flawless all while maintaining a cool vibe.
Oh, and let’s not forget this spread by Nico Bustos for Vogue Spain! Lovedit!
3) Gigi Hadid
Next up, we have Miss Gigi Hadid! As one of Kendall Jenner’s gal pals, this fashionista definitely made waves in 2015. No matter where you turned – this chick was in heavy rotation. Earlier this year, Gigi was named Maybelline’s brand ambassdor and she even made her debut in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
She’s also walked for some of fashion’s brightest stars including Balmain, Max Mara, Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier. Gigi was also a face for the mind-numbing Balmain x H&M campaign. From the pages of Vogue to the streets of New York, she set the ‘net on fire!
Check out more of her work below!
4) Jourdan Dunn
So, Jourdan Dunn has already been coined the “Model of the Year” by the British Fashion Awards. Pretty impressive, huh? Aside from her epic win, Jourdan has managed to continually rise as one of fashion’s hottest models.
The 25-year old stunner has worked on some dope projects and she was even British Vogue’s first black cover model in 12 years! She’s also worked alongside Naomi Campbell in joint campaign for Burberry’s eyewear line.
Go, Jourdan!
5) Naomi Campbell
To round things out, we have a Queen Naomi! Now, regardless of how long she’s been in the game, home girl is STILL killin’ it. She’s rocked countless red carpets, flaunted it all for La Perla and even shut it down at Jean Paul Gaultier’s Paris Haute Couture show.
Naomi Campbell just consistently proves that age ain’t nothin but a number! And, I’m here for it all. And, if that isn’t worthy of ModeloftheYear, I don’t know what is.
The competition’s getting pretty fierce as we start closing out the year with nominations for Fashion Bombshell of the year. This week we finish off with Ashley from Atlanta, whose definitely serving some looks. Will our Bombshell Ashley take the crown? Check her out below:
Unfortunately, she didn’t include a description of her outfits, but did let us know she is a Stylist in ATL.
Hot! She is definitely serving some ATL heat with these outfits. I’m going to need those white pants, sequin top and green&cream fur stole! Yass hunty!
What do you guys think? Is Ashley worthy of a nomination for Fashion Bombshell of the Year?

*I met the owner of Cupcake Mafia, Mary “Skittlez” Seats at a recent event, and she is a Bomb Entrepreneur. She gifted me her autobiography, The Icing On Top Ain’t Always As Sweet, and I read it while on a recent plane ride.
Skittlez overcame loads of adversity to build her Cupcake Mafia brand, and battled homelessness, death, and violence to rise to the top. It’s a great read. Purchase here. See the trailer here:
We’re unleashing our Bombshell and Bomber of the Year next week! But until then, we can reminisce with a few repeat submissions. Check out David from Boston, who was first featured this February:

Tom Ford loves change when it comes to where he shows his collections each season! In October, he chose a music video starring Lady Gaga as his “venue” of choice and before that in February, he opted for Los Angeles. For Fall 2016, he has selected New York Fashion Week as his destination.
Ford will show his womenswear and menswear assortments for the season in small presentations on the last day of New York Fashion Week, February 18th. This is a completely different direction from his LA affair which was brimming with celebs.
The Big Apple isn’t completely new for Ford either—he debuted his womenswear collection in the city five years ago— though this is the first time he is showing both together. We’ve seen brands including Givenchy, Gucci, Baja East, and more opt for this concurrent showing, thus Ford is definitely on-trend.
Here’s Ford’s official statement:
“When I began my own company I wanted to create clothes with the highest level of workmanship and attention to detail. Pieces that a customer would keep for life. This is one of the reasons that I launched my women’s collection in a small presentation in New York, where the audience could experience the clothes up close. In previous seasons, I have presented the collections in my London showroom to the press in an informal format that allows me to speak with journalists while they view and touch the clothes. As we all know, the way in which we show clothes, not only to the press, but also to the consumer, is changing. Right now, I think that a certain fluidity is necessary in regards to how we communicate with the consumer, and I have experimented with different formats recently. The most important thing to me with a presentation is that it communicates the message of the season and the point of view of the collection. Next season, it feels right to return to a format that is intimate and shows the detail of the clothes. The intimacy of small presentations affords that. We launched our first women’s collection in New York in 2010 and opened our first store there in 2007. I am very excited to present both collections in New York.”
This isn’t the only momentous news for the brand, as Ford is opening a boutique in Atlanta in February. We know The Real Housewives of Atlanta will be shopping there quite frequently!
Ladies of London star Caroline Stanbury posed on Instagram in the same Mugler Fall 2015 Navy Grommet Turtleneck Dress Jennifer Lopez originally sported back in August:
Both ladies paired the frock with black pointed-toe pumps. J.Lo pulled her hair back and added drop earrings.
