The lovely Lala Anthony made her way through New York City wearing the same vibrant MSGM Fall 2015 Pink, Tan, Black, Navy and Gray Patch Long Coat she first wore earlier this month:
While she went for casual flair with her prior look in a gray turtleneck and denim, this go round she opted for a simple red dress and Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps.
Her sold out statement coat boast tones of pink, black, navy, tan and gray.
This is definitely a swoon worthy piece. Although she looked amazing both times, I’m a bit partial to the stunner paired with the turtleneck and denim.
Who else is counting down the days before the holiday festivities begin? Time sure is flying by around here! Of course, we had to get you our fabulous Bombshell for today, CeCe hailing from NYC.
She says, “I’m a Nigerian girl, born in California and now living in NYC.”
“This is my first time submitting but I love pushing myself out of my comfort zone so…here we go!”
“I talk about dating, fitness and fashion from a plus size perspective on my blog and youtube channel.”
“My style is flirty and fun. For me, fashion is a way to embrace my body at any size.”
You go girl! Loving your color-block outfits and that green dress on that chocolate skin! How do you guys like CeCe from NYC?

Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday, I had my first international edition of Cocktails with Claire in Lagos, Nigeria!
The DZRPT Fashion team pulled out all the stops, treating Nigerian Fashion Bomb supporters to a two part #CWC event.
During the Day we had a Shop and See at Shop Meidei, a contemporary fashion and lifestyle store that exclusively stocks African designers.
Take a look at a few of our stylish guests!
Former Miss Nigeria and designer Omowuni Akinnifesi looked festive in a black and red printed top and Valentino Rockstud Pumps.
This Bombshell looked lovely in a simple black H&M jumpsuit.
Adaku from the website Third World Professional and Genevieve NG wore a lovely blue dress. Shout out to the step and repeat with my face on it!
Black and white was done right with this fashionista.
This style blogger bet on all black.
A yellow top and black skirt combined for a smart look.
And on our way out, we captured @MoguletteLilian in a pretty pink dress and green reflective shades.
Because it was a daytime event, I wore an Elizabeth and James cropped top with an Ankara printed skirt by Liberian designer It’s Archel of Shop Bombchel.
Then it was time for the evening event!
Lagosian fashionistas and fashionistos convened at the Radisson Blu for our nighttime soirée.
Pierre was on hand to photograph a few stylish stand outs:
Taje aka @MissVivaciousT looked hot in a Perfect Fabrics cardigan and dress.
I wore black sequins as well in a custom Duckie Confetti Jersey. I wanted to rep for Fashion Bomb for those who might be new to the site, and the jersey was a nod to the good old USA.
Queen Bey has yet to disappoint us: and I doubt she ever will. Beyonce, Beyonce Knowles, or Mrs. Carter, if you feel so inclined, has been pretty quiet this year in regards to releasing any new music, yet she has been showcasing herself in fashionable outfits both in and out of events.
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Beyonce rose to fame in the 90s as the lead singer for the R&B girl-group (and still one of our favorites) Destiny’s Child. After becoming one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time, Destiny’s Child disbanded so all the artists could seek individual pursuits. A young Beyonce would eventually bless the world with Dangerously In Love, followed by B’Day, I Am…Sasha Fierce, 4, and Beyonce.
What perhaps drive the Beyhive (as her fans are so infamously known for) crazy is not just Beyonce’s musical work, but her enviable Powerhouse aesthetic of being on top while still having a family while also being a national and global activist. She has started various charitable organizations to help different disparaged communities, opened her own fashion line and built partnerships with brands (hello, Topshop!), become the woman we all think of when we see a Pepsi commercial (or think of what a half-time Superbowl performance should look like), and has constantly slew the competition with her amazing vocal range and diverse creativity in dance, singing and her most recent venture, acting.
The woman who pulled the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards viewership to 12.4 million for her performance of ‘Love On Top’, the ‘At Last’ singer at the first inaugural dance for President Obama, and pusher of modern day ‘feminism’, Beyonce has definitely been named the most influential and timely musician of the 21st century. The mother of Blue Ivy and part of #Powerhousecouple with Jay-Z, Beyonce does no wrong for us when it comes to music, her artistry or even her outfits. As 2015 wraps up, let’s check out 25 times this year Beyonce gave us something to scream about.
Happy holidays to all you lovely Bombers and Bombshells! As the year slowly wraps up, we couldn’t help but throw out a few nominees for our Most Improved Fashionista Award. All of our nominees this year were already fashionable, but it seemed like 2015 was really the time to just glo-up! We couldn’t help but catch some of the light these fashionistas were putting out.
Check out this year’s nominees!
Keke Palmer
No more Disney shows or kids movies for this young lady! Keke Palmer truly stepped her ‘fashionista’ game up this year, turning heads at various events throughout the year while sporting some pretty delicious names in fashion, including Balmain, Moschino, Armani Exchange, and Georges Chakra, just to name a few.2015 really was the breakout year for Ms. Palmer, who not only impressed us with appearances on The View, W Magazine, and a plethora of awards and event coverage, but also became a featured regular on Scream Queens and the releasing of her movie Brotherly Love. Back in August, she also announced via Twitter that she had signed a record deal with one of Universals major labels, Island. New music soon, perhaps? She has kept it classy, trendy and definitely age appropriate as she has transitioned from Disney Star to Full-out glam Princess. Whether rocking some bundlessss (Christmas gift, anyone?) or keeping a cute, crop cut, she has shown us that fashion limits are a product of the past and one can look stylish in a matching set, full-length gown or even a suit (and as a woman who loves the slight masculinity in outfits, I’m all for that). Just in case you needed a reminder, here’s a throwback of her in 2014:
Kylie Jenner It seemed like just yesterday we were focusing on the Kardashian Trio: Kim, Khloe and Kourtney. However, Kylie Jenner has definitely surfaced as a contender along with the ‘First Family’ of Media, stepping her fashion game up 100% for 2015. She scored an ambassador title for the skin care line Nip+Fab, launched a clothing line with her sister Kylie in partnership with Topshop (so jealous!), launched her own website and mobile app, AND came out with a lipstick line to accompany her self-titled lip kit. Geez!2015 seemed to be the year where everything little about the 18-year old stopped being…well, little. She’s been caught on and off guard sporting designer threads, among them Cushnie Et Ochs, Phillip Lim, Balmain, and so much more. Can you imagine what her closet looks like? Nonetheless, her style has evolved from teenager to grown-woman over night, and no matter what people may say about her or the family, nobody can deny she has slayed our lives and snatched a few edges with some of these looks this year. Just in case you couldn’t remember what she looked like last year:
CiaraDefinitely a favorite over here at FashionBombDaily, Ciara made 2015 the year she would show up and definitely show out. The ATL-raised songstress, otherwise known as the First Lady of Crunk&B, skyrocketed in 2015: celebrating her 30th birthday, a new album release, became the face of Robert Cavalli, a brand ambassador for Topshop, and definitely gave us look after look in designer threads while on Instagram; among them we saw Topshop, Tom Ford, Fausto Puglisi, and a slew of footwear (remember when we covered her shoe closet?) Whether it was attending an Awards show or having a date night over at the White House, mommy Ciara showed us she was going to slay! Form-fitting dressed, low cut blouses and color risks worked in her favor as she stepped out of the mold and reminded all of us that even after the baby, she was still fire! Many of us couldn’t help but gush over the two men in her life this year: her son Future Zahir by ex-boyfriend Future, and current boyfriend Russell Wilson (can they just be the cutest couple?) No matter the occasion, Ciara proved that the wardrobe was upgraded and her fashionista game was revamped. You go girl! Here’s a quick throwback to her last year while preggers:
Lady Gaga
Ah, Gaga. The Born This Way singer is nobody new to those of us that like pop music, empowering vocals, great performances and…interesting outfits. Rising to fame with her initial albums The Fame and The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga has gone on to secure a title as one of the most influential and successful musicians of all time. Now, she’s grabbing another title on our Most Improved Fashionista List of 2015. Known for her crazy outfits with apparently a social message behind it, Gaga truly toned down and approached her fashion choices differently this year, and we just can’t get enough! No more meat dresses for her, Gaga’s been seen sporting designers on nearly an every day basis, including Tom Ford (who she also collaborated with for the music video), personal stylist Brandon Maxwell, Alaia, Capara and many more., 2015 found Gaga joining the team of America Horror Story: Hotel, where her character Countess slays in a beautiful outfit every week. She shook headlines after her jaw-dropping Oscars performance (any other musical theatre nerds out here? Am I alone?) performed at the Grammy’s, scored Billboard’s Woman of the Year award and definitely raised eyebrows that look to answer, Is Gaga making a comeback? While we don’t have all the answers, we know her closet is talking and boy is it saying something! She’ll always be Lady Gaga to the world, but she’s definitely building herself as Lady Fashionista too. This fashionista is definitely an A in our book. Here’s a quick throwback to how she looked in 2014:
5. Tracee Ellis Ross A woman who needs no introduction, because we all know her for a sleu of different things. Some may call her Joan from Girlfriends, and others of us may call her the baby of songstress Diana Ross. Others of us may know her as the entertaining mother, wife and doctor on ABC’s show Black-ish, that brought her an NAACP Image Award and a nomination from the BET Awards. Whatever you know her as, Tracee Ellis Ross has long been on the scene and carved out a sweet spot in each one of our hearts. She’s also carved out a sweet spot on our top 5 list of improved fashionistas, where she took 2015 by the horns and ran with it in regards to her fashion choices! For every fashion awards, recognition and banquet, she has shown up and out in her style choices, whether retro-inspired, couture-themed, a nuanced LBD (little black dress), or prints on prints on prints. No matter what she wore in 2015, she wore it with class, elegance and poise. Her designer threads of the past have included Tracey Reese ( a seeming favorite of hers), Dolce & Gabbana, Honor, Veronique Leroy, and so much more! She has truly garnished a closet of simplicity, elegance and pop-out pieces every Fashionista girl needs to have. Perhaps we need to add “Get a chance to play in her closet” onto our Christmas List for Santa? And here’s a snapshot of her from 2014:
Well there you have it folks, the enviable Top 5 Most Improved Fashionista nominees for 2015. Who made your top list and who deserves to take home the crown?
The DMV is representing today! Check out Jayla repping her Bombshell style from Maryland:
She says, “I am a young style blogger and personal stylist sharing what I love most about fashion each week.”
“I would describe my style as being very classic and timeless but versatile as well. I am inspired by so many things that I like to translate that into what I wear.”
“I don’t like to limit myself just to one style, I love to switch it up and play around with what I wear every day.”
“That is what fascinates me the most about fashion, I can be feminine and chic one day and the next I am able to let menswear inspire my outfit choice.”
“On my blog konsciousvyb.com I like to inspire others to do the same and get the most out of what they wear.”
“As a stylist, I encourage my clients to look all around them for inspiration and incorporate that into their personal style.”
“I have been reading Fashion Bomb Daily for awhile now and it would be an honor to be featured!”
Cute! Your wardrobe is definitely varied with some glitz, glam and casual. What do you guys think of Jayla from Maryland?

Her set features an embroidered triangle cup bikini top with braided halterneck straps, and long fringe trim, as well as matching tie-side bikini bottoms.
Cute!
Karrueche’s bikini is sold out, but you can get others from the brand here.
Happy Monday!
So I’m happy to report that Arik Air found my bag!!! After triumphantly retrieving my suitcase from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Pierre and I went downtown to purchase Ankara printed pieces.
On our way, Pierre captured the following looks:
Style is palpable in the streets, witnessed by the array of vibrant colors and printed pieces. I loved the sight of these brothers walking in unison, wearing matching outfits. Many men in Lagos embrace prints and bright hues, and look great doing so.
Traditional prints are embraced by women as well, who wear skirts and dresses with matching head wraps while going about their days.
Driving by one of Lagos’s oldest churches, this mirrored sunglass sporting young man caught my eye.
After sight seeing a bit, we made our way to a shopping party for brand Shop Maju. The label stocks cute separates at affordable prices.
Bombshell @Mudi_Gift modeled a lemon colored vest and shorts by Shop Maju.
