She completed her leggy look with black sandals.

The dress was modeled with booties in Blumarine’s Fall 2015 show.

Naeem Khan’s latest presentation for Fall 2016 was one to behold, with sequins and bedazzlement gliding on every look down the runway. With metallic beaded gowns, tunics and expertly tailored after-5 attire, the collection offered a wide variety of styling options for any viable fashionista.While some looks offered a metallic look, other dresses remained matte yet popped of color; reds and blacks glided down the runway, expertly stitched and cut to evoke a sense of femininity while not subtracting from the quality of the fabric and design. Plunging necklines offered seductiveness in a modest way, yet models remained covered in flirty and feminine ways.Khan played with both texture and print, constructing dresses with tulle underskirts that created body and height. He also offered selections with floral appliques and patterned fabric made to appear like velvet or silk.Inspired by Art Deco—specifically the architecture you see on the streets and skyline of New York City, the collection bolstered metallic beading and intricate design-work.

The collection was multi-varied, eclectic and diversified with selections that spanned all avenues of fashion and select style.

Reem Acra shined in their latest Fall 2016 collection of womenswear, juxtaposing a seductive female fatale with an air of sophistication and refinement. Through body-hugging silhouettes of lace and carefully-crafted embroidery, gowns came down the runway showing just enough skin with a touch of female fatale and grace.Wisps of color continued to build the theme of the show, offering color palettes for anyone needing an extra boost in their closet. Colorful embroidered bodices and fabrics of silk complimented each look, offset by jewel toning and sheer lace cuts to accentuate the frame.Hemlines touched the floors, drawing the eye to the center of the body at which Acra had placed many jewels and accentuating marks; inevitably, there remained a mystique to the clothes while simultaneously drawing the eye to the attentive detail of embellishment and stoning.Rhinestone-encrusted bustier’s accented the delicate fabric of each dress, adding to the Victorian-inspired collection while adding a sense of modesty and modernity.
In all, the collection was polished and representative of the femininity of the modern woman.

What do you think of the Fall 2016 collection?

Though New York Fashion Week has been slightly overlooked due to Grammy’s activity (Kendrick Lamar, anyone?) and All Star Weekend festivities, Zac Posen returned #NYFW to relevance with a Fall 2016 show cast with a majority of black models.

The designer, whose line is part owned by Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, intimated that he was down for the cause when he Instagrammed a picture of him rocking a Black Models Matter tote by Ashley Chew.

He showed and proved on Monday with a Fall 2016 collection featuring gorgeous brown faces, including Grace Bol, Cindy Bruna, Riley Montana, Aya Jones, and Aamito Lagum.

Last year,  UK-based Muslim designer Hana Tajima partnered with Uniqlo to create a line of modest clothing which was sold exclusively in Southeast Asia. Following the popularity of the clothing, Uniqlo and Tajima will release a new spring collection which will be sold in the US starting on February 26th. The collection will be available online and in the retailer’s flagship store in Manhattan.

The new collection includes traditional clothing like hijabs and kebayas, a blouse-dress combination, in addition to Western style clothing like tapered pants, structured outwear, and wide leg jeans.  The clothes come not only come in neutrals like black or being but are also available variety of colors, like the trendy dusky pink and marigold, and prints for spring. The line is also relatively inexpensive with prices ranging from as low as $9.99 to the most expensive being $59.90.

Uniqlo is following in the footsteps of other western retailers, like Dolce & Gabbana, who are expanding their clothing with Muslim consumers in mind as they are a rapidly growing market that is predicted to be worth $484 billion by 2019.

“For Muslim women there was almost a sense of being recognized for the first time,” Tajima told Fashionista. “Then, more generally, to have a different sort of voice, another kind of aesthetic available, was really refreshing.”

Despite the modest design of the clothing, they are still very fashion forward.

After a pretty stand out showing as a part of New York Fashion week – no, it didn’t make up for dipping out on the Grammy’s – the Barbadian princess  Rihanna has taken to Twitter to debut her latest collaboration with Puma. Having released a creeper that couldn’t be kept in stock, to say that Puma is hoping for big things here, wouldn’t be outside of the realm of probability.  
The style looks interesting. There seems to either be mesh or material like the FlyKnit, which has been trending in the industry for about a year. Reports indicate that in addition to the Blackout color way that the island girl posted to her Twitter the style will also be available in Whiteout and Red Alert.

Expect the style to go on sale Friday, February 26.

 
In her shot for the new kicks, Rih Rih dons a pair of sculpted frames from Alexander McQueen as well as a reflective hooded jacket from her Puma line.

Sadly though, early reaction from fans does not seem to be encouraging. “I dont know how I feel about these,” tweeted Miami style blogger Ria Michelle. The sentiment was repeated by others on our timeline.

A bonded wool and crystal-embroidered floral lace slip dress was on the agenda for Blake Lively. She’s never looked better!

Cynthia Erivo posed with the man of the hour in a Spring 2016 lapis pleated dress and black Brittany sandals. Pretty!

Olivia Munn was white hot in a Spring 2016 vanilla tie-neck pleated dress.

Another stylish Olivia was in attendance—that of Olivia Palermo—who wore a black Spring 2016 wool serge kimono blazer from the brand over a black and white zip-front jumpsuit. Hot!

Chiara Ferragni went bold in a lime, aqua, and black hexagon mink coat and lime shaker knit top from Resort.

Bianca Brandolini donned a wool serge balmacaan coat , white silk georgette blouse, smoke tropical wool foldover trousers, and $295 White Valin Sneakers from Spring. Cute and casual!
