The stars were out for the Eclipsed Broadway Opening Night After Party! Lace, bold lips, vibrant hues, and plunging necklines were just some of the highlights complementing the natural beauty of the stunning black women in attendance.

Lupita Nyong’o accented a teal lace Balmain gown with blue eye shadow and red lips. Hot!
A draped Maria Lucia Hohan dress was LaLa Anthony’s choice for the evening. Stunning, no?
Danai Gurira went bold in a turquoise Schiaparelli Couture gown with a pink sash. Pretty!
Naturi Naughton slipped on a zipper-accented long-sleeve number for the occasion.

Riccardo’s Tisci’s Egypitian-drenched influence was quite evident throughout the presentation of Givenchy’s Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear collection. Each model looked as if they were (literally) gliding down the catwalk as consistent strings of boisterous prints, majestic detailing and signature black monochromatic ‘fits proved that these pieces were a distinct evolution from the fashion house’s feminine romanticism from Spring 2016.
Of course, the seasonality behind Fall calls for darker hues and heavier textures; however, Tisci’s take on this transition was extremely refreshing – rich gold-tinged silks housed the design of the Eye of Horus while other pieces boasted loads of mini-ruffles, sheer layering and beige snakeskin effects.
Although there was a bit of a sultry appeal (i.e.- high slits, bare midriff and a playful white lace tiered mini dress), a military-inspired conservatism worked as a slight contrast. With the introduction of high-collars, intricate button detailing and chic epaulettes, the edginess of these accentuations are perfect for our statement-making fashionistas (take note!)
Yet, the factor I loved most was the versatility of the brand. An impressive majority of the pieces can be paired with a few wardrobe staples including a bomb pair of skinny jeans, leather moto trousers, pleated midi skirts and a sleek LBD. When collections possess a certain level of relatability, I believe that helps to garner more inspiration to the masses. And, what Givenchy presentation would be complete without one (or two) fur-trimmed wonders?!
In my opinion, the show was a success! With a superstar following including the sartorial support of Kanye West, Beyonce and the entire Kardashian/Jenner clan, Givenchy is a force to be reckoned with. The Fall collection showcases that women can be sexy in even the most masculine pieces and, with the right styling and unexpected quirks, a mind-blowing look can be taken to unparalleled levels. In addition, I’m a huge fan of Tisci’s unpredictability – it’s a strong precursor that, I feel, gives him that unwavering longevity.

Melanie B hit the America’s Got Talent kickoff in the same $1,625 Cushnie et Ochs Black Strapless Button Front Sheath Dress Khloe Kardashian originally sported a little more than a week ago:
Melanie B accented the frock with those coveted Giuseppe Zanotti gold and black snake-accented sandals, while Khloe kept it simple with black pointed-toe pumps.
The strapless LBD features a plunging neckline framed by buttons, front slip pockets, a fitted silhouette, and straight hem.

Givenchy dresses some of our favorite stylish celebs around the globe, thus it was no surprise that many of them showed up for the brand’s Fall 2016 show. Lots of black, lace, expert tailoring, and patterns were on the agenda.

Ciara and Russell Wilson were clad in all-black for the occasion, which of course was very fitting. Hot!
Chris Brown uplifted a classic logo tee, black skinnies, and black kicks with a printed coat from the iconic French fashion house. This would have been better sock-less, but I like the look overall.
Kanye West mean-mugged—no surprise there—while Kris Jenner smized in the front row. Can’t help but love these two!
In random news, Bradley Cooper was there!
Julia Restoin-Roitfeld brought the boudoir into real-time with a sultry lace LBD, sheer black hosiery, and peep-toe ankle strap pumps. Hot!
Carine Roitfeld donned a graphic t-shirt made in her own street style image, a fur jacket, lace-up belt, cropped flares, and platform sandals.
Soo Joo Park tried on the sheer trend for size in a sexy lace shirt-dress from the brand. Gorgeous no?
Anna Dello Russo had a bit of pink in her hair, but was surprisingly pared-down other than that.
This was my first time seeing retired Japanese soccer player Hidetoshi Nataka, but hopefully not the last: he’s fine!
It was all about subtle stripes for Li Yuchun in separates boasting the classic print.
Social media star, actress, DJ, and model Akimoto Kozue (clearly she keeps busy) was simple and chic in a white silk long-line blazer, white lace top, and black trousers. I like her style!
Songstress CL gave a flash of abs in a white off-the-shoulder top that was accented with sheer mesh and lace.
