We’re just days away from the official start of Spring: I’m so excited!

Celebs kept it stylish off the red carpet this week—eating dinner, shopping, and doing some promo in everything from pared-down outerwear to statement-making boots.

Let’s see what they wore!

Gabrielle Union grabbed dinner at Craig’s Restaurant, punctuating a pared-down knit dress, coat, and black boots with a printed tote. Simple and chic!

Angela Simmons wore her favorite Zara leather while indulging in some retail therapy at The Grove, giving a pop of color to a neutral t-shirt and leggings.

Ariana Grande and stylist Law Roach were arm-in-arm in the Big Apple, with the songstress keeping warm in an oversized fur and patent boots.

Jurnee Smollett-Bell made an appearance on The Chew in a grey graphic poncho, black and white embroidered sweater, navy quilted skirt, and Christian Louboutin sandals. Pretty!

Dorothy Wang partied at The Nice Guy in a WAYF lace-up suede LBD, a Topshop furry bag, and Gianvito Rossi suede thigh-high boots. Hot!

The beauty came all the way through with luscious curls, a pop of lavender eyeshadow and natural hued pout. Perfection!

Her statement embellished dress features an eye catching neckline and hem that boast triangle notched detailing.

Her sleek Italian made suede sandals boast 5.5″ heels with a 1.5″ platform and adjustable ankle straps.

She looks absolutely amazing! Hot!

While we had already decided to tackle the beautiful style evolution of the Obama daughters after they slaaaaayed at the State Dinner in Naeem Khan, I definitely had to make sure they received love after that silly New York Times article tried to come for Malia’s hairstyle.The Obama daughters, Sasha and Malia, respectively, have been nothing short of a joy to watch over the years as they have cultivated a style aesthetic very appropriate for their age and the professions of both of their parents. With a mama like Michelle Obama who teaches us how fashion is done, we should have known immediately they would be no different!When their father was first elected to the White House, both girls were still fairly young, yet played with matching color-coordinated outfits with each other and of course, FLOTUS Michelle Obama.As they both got older, we began to see them trade in children’s clothing with more youth-appropriate attire as well as cultivate individual aesthetics that are quite different! J. Crew, Lanvin, Tory Burch, and of course now top dogs like Naeem Khan are but a few of the many threads you’ll find the First Daughters rocking; however, at the end of the day, they still enjoy clothes of most adolescent young women.One thing I think we can definitively say (despite the controversy that arose over how much their dresses were for the State Dinner…as if other Presidents’ daughters don’t wear expensive gowns, but I digress), these girls have definitely transitioned into looks of their own and grown into beautiful women setting the bar high for the next generation of #BlackGirlMagic.

Ever since we wrote about Kylie Jenner in the tan suede Isabel Marant Etoile button dress, our obsession with suede intensified.  Her 1970’s inspired look was a splurge, but today’s Bomb Product of the Day is a complete steal!  The Missguided Double Button Faux Suede Shirt Dress costs just $51.

Made of 100% polyester, the faux suede shirt dress has ten buttons on the front. With long sleeves and two pockets, the camel colored dress bears a striking resemblance to Kylie’s!

You can pair the dress with thigh high boots like Kylie did or you can wear platform sandals.

It was all about prints for Rosario Dawson at the Daredevil Season 2 New York City Premiere in a $701 SUNO Floral Collage Backless Dress:

Her stretch silk crepe dress features an allover floral print, The midi length, wide neckline, deep scoop back, and three-quarter sleeves.

I wanted a bit more in the shoe department, but the dress is cute!

The Hollywood Reporter in collaboration with Jimmy Choo held its annual stylists’ dinner at Tower Bar in Los Angeles last night honoring breakout celebs and the stylists who’ve curated their noteworthy red carpet looks.  Model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley attended the soirée and looked as elegant as ever in this $1,363 Galvan navy crepe bandage jumpsuit.

Simplistic, yet chic, it’s perfect for any formal evening affair.  The wide bandage at the bust modernizes and offsets the form-fitting silhouette.  And in a classic shade like navy, it’s almost difficult to go wrong.

With an effortless side-part, minimal jewels – opting for a thin gold choker – and a striking red lip, she let her jumpsuit standout.

So why is Ruby Rose our Beauty Crush Wednesday (you may secretly be asking yourself)? Well, aside from the fact the woman is just GORGEOUS on the outside, she also stands for huge ideas on what a woman is or can be. That simple idea of pushing the boundaries, in my opinion, is something beautiful and something we definitely explore and support on FBD.In multiple interviews where she’s discussed her beauty aesthetic (she was just recently named the newest face of Urban Decay), Rose has long been vocal about the rigidity of the gender binary and gender roles. The lasting impression with what she pushes for all people to do? “Only you know who you were born to be, and you need to be free to be that person,” she told Elle magazine.At the end of the day, Rose’s self-love testament and urging of others to accept who they are empowers people to define their own identities, their own truths, and love themselves for who they are. It also embraces and pushes this idea of womanhood, which we celebrate every day but especially in the month of March. What can be more beautiful than that? 

Female and human empowerment is beautiful, and so is Ruby Rose! Be unapologetically you, always. She’s definitely our #BCW, is she yours?
