The 2016 DVF Awards were a celebration of women who are changing the world and empowering others—mantras that Diane von Furstenberg herself lives by. Naturally, all the women were clad in the iconic fashion designer’s pieces, so the style quotient was on high.
Let’s see what they wore!
It was all about prints for Justine Skye in a $696 Diane von Furstenberg Jalessa Jumpsuit. I would’ve preferred a pair of ankle-strap sandals here, but both she and the jumpsuit are gorgeous.
Striped separates were on the agenda for Liya Kebede. She would look good in just about anything!
Chirlane McCray kept it simple in a black and white striped jacket and trousers with a slight flare. Do you see that skin? Definitely in need of her beauty regimen STAT.
Chokers seem to be everywhere! In the spirit of the choker trend (which I’ve never personally worn but after our submissions am how extremely interested in), let’s take a look at how YOU guys rocked this 90s style:
Jocelyn, or @jocelyngarrity, showed us how to marry chokers with lace up tops for the Spring. She said, “I just got my first choker.. Can’t stop wearing it!”
Nardina, whose at www.thenewchicontheblock.com, give us a cool midwest vibe with her choker and an all black look, saying, “This is how I wear the choker trend. Choker & dress from Forever 21 :)” . Chic AND affordable!
One of my favorite Instagrammers, @findingpaola, emanated beauty in her choker and head wrap. I need this entire look in my life.
Tatiana, @TDMBRAND, looked pretty in pink with a strapless pink dress and matching pink choker. She told us, “This how I wore my “choker trend”. I recently attended a Coronation Ball and I designed and made this dress. I wanted to accessorize with with less jewelry and add more edgy to the look so I made a fabricated choker. “
The beautiful TK Wonder (@tk_wonder) gave us serious hair and choker envy with this beautiful white one paired with a denim on denim look. Sigh, I want to be her friend so badly.
Jarryn, aka @jarrynsk, gave us some cool 90s vibes with this gold “Queen” choker that’s sketched out in various shapes. LOVE IT!
Jennifer, who can be found on www.JennesisofChic.blogspot.com, said, “I’m not a huge fan of 90s fashion overall, but I’m glad that crop tops and chokers are back in style! They’re the only two trends I like from that era (oh, and denim on denim too). I love how much of a statement the simple neck piece can make to an entire outfit. ” Sheshowed how gold chokers can go with everything. I need her to dress me.
Lanatria, or @caribbean_cowgirl, gave us a pussy-bow esque choker to behold with her colorful outfit, saying, “My choker completes my ‘Clueless’ inspired 90’s look.”
Marche, or www.therobinsonstyle.com, gave us a lesson in rocking a choker with an off-the-shoulder top. Love!
Lydie, who goes by the name @artbecomesU, gave me life with a choker paired with a jumpsuit. She said, “I am a UK based blogger for artbecomesyou.com and I wore my choker with a classic all black outfit (black body, studded belt and flared trousers) and styled my natural locks in an updo.” Now y’all know how much I love a good jumpsuit…
Charmaine (@Charmsie) looked absolutely STUNNING in this gold flare choker paired with gold earrings. She’s giving me Sade vibes.
Sade aka @sadeaspence rocked a Spring-appropriate outfit with a choker that And Kameel, @kameelyen55 popped out in a bright monochromatic look with matching leather choker. This is definitely not for the faint at heart!
Yum, I loved looking at all of these. We have a ton more in the gallery, so be sure to take a look! What trend should we feature next? Let us know!
It brings me great sadness to report that Bombshell and Fashion Bomb friend Daisy Lewellyn has passed away from a rare form of liver cancer.
If you aren’t familiar with her from seeing our coverage of her Brooklyn Brunch Series or from her appearances at Cocktails with Claire events, then you undoubtedly know her from the Bravo Reality Show, Blood, Sweat, and Heels.
Daisy was 36.
To know Daisy was to love her. Her personality, energy, and zest for life were electric and infectious. Daisy was always on hand to help, and even offered interns and took over video hosting for our first Cocktails with Claire New York.
Daisy will be missed, but her spirit will live on forever in our hearts and minds.
It’s officially wedding season! With multiple weddings on your calendar it can be tricky figuring out what to wear. Well luckily today I’m tackling a few fashionable wedding outfit ideas thanks to FBD’s very own staffer, Jame’ Jackson.
Jame writes, “Have we done a ‘what to wear to your friend’s wedding’ spring inspired post? All of my friends are getting married and I’m just like…chilling in my shorts”.
Go bright and bold in a punchy pink and red floral print pleated midi skirt with a halter neck crop top.
Jazz it up with a fitted blazer, woven box clutch, and ankle wrap suede sandals in a soft pink hue.
An embroidered lace midi dress is such an elegant option for attending a wedding.
Add a bit of romance with a patent nude pump, floral embroidered clutch, and crystal ear crawlers.
Opt for an off the shoulder look in shades of mint green for a spring inspired outfit.
A two-tone leather sandal, metallic monogram shoulder bag, and crystal dangle earrings add a sophisticated touch.
Keep it classy in a pale pink caped dress with a scalloped hemline.
Add a fun strappy sandal, pearlescent box clutch, and double-tier drop earrings for a stylish wedding look.
And if the wedding calls for black tie or cocktail attire, opt for a black circular lace midi dress.
Complete the look with a pair of strappy black sandals, a bird embellished box clutch, and crystal drop earrings.
That’s it for today’s wedding style inspirations. Which look would you wear? Be sure to follow me on Instagram @StyleIsMyObsession for more stylish wardrobe and outfit suggestions. Based in LA and need personal styling? E-mail me at Danielle@FashionBombDaily.com

Shoulder cleavage is a ‘thing’ for the spring. The 70’s inspired off the shoulder top will be a must-have for this seasons wardrobe. Today’s Bomb Product of the Day features Pixie Market’s $45 Light Blue Crop Off the Shoulder Top:
The pale blue, cotton blend shirt has elastic around the top allowing it to expand past the shoulders.
Great for a casual brunch or daytime look. To complete the 70’s feel, I’d rock this top with a pair of wide leg pants.
The style was spied on stars like Olivia Palermo and more recently, Kendall Jenner.
Simple and so appropriate for the spring and summer seasons. You can purchase here. What do you think? How would you wear this top?
Happy Friday everyone! With New York now becoming my second home, I love when I get submissions from Haaaaarlem ( I love you too, BK). Today’s Bomber is Brandon, hailing from Harlem:

“My style is inspired by life, style, and culture for modern gentlemen.
